Ladies and gentlemen, Hindenburg strikes again. Block $XYZ has reached an agreement to pay $764 million in connection with federal criminal money laundering charges, criminal punishment for which which will be deferred under an agreement reached with the DoJ. Even Block admits today in its filing that this is the result of Nate's work.

$XMAX falls off a cliff...
We are short $XMAX (which changed its ticker from $XWIN on Monday). We believe it's a Malaysian hustle peddling a furniture-to-AI fantasy to fund one of the most dilutive setups we have ever seen, including a $1 billion shelf (made effective May 12th 2026) for this ~$520m mkt cap. Our on-the-ground due diligence indicates $XMAX fabricated purchase orders of stone slabs to avoid delisting in October ’24. Our investigation reveals the suppliers' listed addresses include a preschool, a residential apartment complex, and a luxury condo building. We also discovered numerous other red flags: a history of allegations of fraud (settled), glaring contradictions in its filings (unresolved), an (unrequited) AI deal with $SUPX, and a CEO whose bio does not appear to be accurate.

Replying to @Wharton
@Wharton is now the ONLY top MBA program to have a class on fraud hunting in its curriculum. In Spring, Forensic Analytics is now open to @Wharton MBAs. Guest speakers include individuals who hunt fraud for a living: DOJ/SEC, Short Activists, and Forensic Investigators.

A year ago, we argued $CRWV failed finance’s most basic test: returns below its cost of capital. With shares halved and bonds yielding ~15%, the market is realizing the math doesn’t math
We're short $CRWV. Report at kerr.co/crwv. $CRWV has shot to a $75B valuation on technicals and hype, but strip away the noise and it’s just a levered GPU rental shop with lousy economics. 1/10

This week we will discuss two related companies whose shares are publicly listed. We will introduce verifiable evidence of accounting shenanigans and fraud. We believe this report will be regarded as the best and most impactful work we've done in East Asia, in our 13 year history. We think these two companies will be regarded among the largest Corporate Scandals of Japan, within the coming years.

The prosecutor celebrating Left's verdict can't even define what they prosecuted him for. He tells followers that "shorting" means making "quick profits" by "illegally influencing share prices" through misleading X posts. Incredibly ironic. Don't be like Billy @USAttyEssayli
A Los Angeles federal jury has found Andrew Left guilty of market manipulation. He used media appearances and his company to illegally influence share prices and make quick profits, known as shorting. He earned more than $20 million from such trades between 2018 and 2023. Great work by the prosecutors in my office and @FBILosAngeles on this outcome.

Andrew Left, one of the world’s most prominent short sellers, was found guilty of securities fraud by a US federal jury after a landmark trial that scrutinized his use of social media to move the price of stocks. More here: bloom.bg/4nZ46b8 📷: Eric Thayer/Bloomberg

Remind me, gang. Is it a good sign or a bad sign when the CEO of a public company (with only 3% short interest!!!) is this obsessed with shortsellers?
Have at ‘er. I literally just pointed out where your fiduciary “business dealings” were below board with Mr. Duade, the only reason I engaged in this thread to begin with. I already know you’ll lose on your position and I don’t care. [this is the point in Claire’s own hero’s journey where she went obsessively digging for dirt on a highly regulated company who has always disclosed the difficulty and high risk/high reward nature of bootstrapping a global exchange and clearinghouse; she then engaged the Nth useless expert network Abaxx has seen forwarded to them month after month and as recently as yesterday, found nothing—just like the rest of the funds who started last year and scrapped multiple short reports—and then put out a report anyway on early market maker incentive programs bootstrapping volumes, and speculative spread trading with low open interest especially around delivery windows where they can’t make or take delivery, but no tangible negative data or evidence relative to the risk she put on and effort put it, just a bunch of abstract arguments around hype and leading innuendo to try to get some other short cultist to take her out of her position. Meanwhile, she slanders well intentioned investors who want smarter markets, the CEO, and tries to destroy the livelihoods of people working for or invested in Abaxx, people actually committed to building markets and price discovery for things the world needs, runs a company that promotes ESG even when it’s not the flavour of the month but just the values we were brought up with….all to make a buck and feed her ego] It’s about risk and reward. Hope your LPs are in your corner supporting your ego and these slanderous posts over that basic capitalistic calculation.

The Andrew Left trial has featured some curious decisions by the DoJ. “I know, let’s put the head of a fraud on the stand to talk about how Left hurt their share price” was the first, and “Let’s put a retail schnook who’s angry Left called out cannabis shitcos” is another.

The CEO & CFO of this @HindenburgRes target were just charged criminally with 10 counts of fraud. Per the DoJ: "Defendants falsely inflated iLearningEngines’ revenue by hundreds of millions of dollars through sham contracts with entities they controlled" justice.gov/usao-edny/pr/for… The DoJ also alleged they lied in response to our report.

Just so everyone understands the accounting game in the AI/Cloud-space here is a very *simple* example: 1) Amazon “invests” $50B in OpenAI. Amazon records: - Cash $50B + Investment Asset $50B 2) OpenAI uses $50B to buy AWS services. Amazon records: + Sales $50B + Cash $50B Amazon is net $0 cash, but now has $50B in sales and $50B investment asset. Great deal! Thats why we see all the majors doing it, and at scale. It is a way to convert their dormant cash pile into revenue, which Wall Street loves. Most ppl dont realize what is happening. The revenue of these large tech companies is increasing dependent on them being able to self-fund their own sales.
Today, we closed our latest funding round with $122 billion in committed capital at an $852B post-money valuation. The fastest way to expand AI’s benefits is to put useful intelligence in people’s hands early and let access compound globally. This funding gives us resources to lead at scale. openai.com/index/acceleratin…
