This is so awesome, I am building out afterware.xyz a showcase of hobbyist builders. Can I link to this?

testing firmware before the board exists would save so many bricked prototypes

we promised we'd open source it. here it is! we gave @copperheadhq the twitter post by @paraschopra and let it build the entire thing from scratch: schematics, pcb, firmware, test plans, pcb art and the outputs. hardware should be as reproducible and open as software.
we fed @copperheadhq just this twitter post and got back schematics, pcb, firmware, testing plans and even the pcb art. guess which model? astra? nope. entirely gpt-5.6 sol! ~6.5m tokens ~$9 total. open sourcing the full build + source files soon :)

Google Japan open-sources a joke keyboard every year. You can now open 18 of their PCBs in the browser, no KiCad install. This is last year's dial keyboard nitter.cf/GoogleOSS/status/21057…
Every Oct 1 (10/1 = 101-key keyboard), @googlejapan's Gboard team open-sources a physical keyboard. 2026's Gboard Conveyor Belt Version rotates 116 keys on 4 motorized belts—with KiCad PCBs, STLs & firmware. 👇 Repo & blog in first reply

This is really cool! I while back I was wondering why git wasn't use in more engineering disciplines outside of software, and the I realized is that in order to make version control work, you need diffs, and for a large part of what people design, there is no way to diff two designs. Really nice to see progress in this area!

These kind of features is what will pull people in to try it out. It almost feels like how you can compare the lines of code changed when you push new code on Github
