After a tough outing at the South East Zonals, i had only one thing in mind: WIN SOUTH SOUTH Round after round, i fought And now, the Nigerian National U20 Chess Champion is officially the South South Zonal Champion ♟️🏆 The comeback was personal. Next stop: NCC Qualifiers. 🔥

Ilorin is where my chess story started. It is the place where I found true love in this strange game. Shout out to all my sparring partners in the old days - Yinka Ayinde, Anthony, the guys at Deluxe Entertainment, Wole and IBB, Taiye Abu, Dr. Lukman Adegboye, Oga Lawi, Babajide Tinubu, the three AYs, Karikatalk and so on. You all made me stronger and I remember. It was heartwarming to return home to play in the Sardauna Open Chess Championship. Winning this one was nice, but it was the memories that came flooding back that made me sentimental.

The 1st Sardauna of Ilorin national Chess Championship in Kwara State has officially come to an end. ♟️ Finished the tournament with 5/7, recording 4 wins, 2 draws (one draw against Nigeria'S number one ,the formidable AAA) and 1 loss against CM Toluwanimi. It was a good opportunity to test myself against strong opposition, learn a few things and identify areas I still need to work on. Not every tournament will go exactly as planned, but every game is part of the journey. Congratulations to all the players who made the tournament a success, and a big thank you to the organizers for putting this together. Back to the board, back to work. There's more to come! ♟️💪🏽
