BRING BACK JUCO FOOTBALL!
Vote for John Crow, Ryan Caracciolo, and Susan Winder for the Maricopa County Community College Board.
To be told that I bring wisdom to a football program and the young men I coach is a compliment I receive with tremendous humility and gratitude.
After 30 years in education and a lifetime dedicated to football, I’ve learned that leadership isn't about pleasing everyone or doing things the way they've always been done.
Not everyone will agree with my philosophy, my methods, or how I approach coaching, and that's perfectly fine. I have my own way of doing things, shaped by years of experience, lessons learned, successes, failures, and personal growth.
I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but I do hope they recognize the purpose behind what I do.
For me, coaching has never been solely about wins, losses, or X's and O's. It's about sharing wisdom, building character, instilling accountability, and positively influencing young men.
If my approach helps even one player become more confident, disciplined, resilient, or better prepared for life, then my efforts have meaning.
I don't measure my success by how many people agree with my methods, but by the positive impact those methods have on the young men entrusted to my care.
If I develop better football players, I've done my job.
If I develop better young men, I've fulfilled my purpose.
Humbled by the recognition. Grateful for the opportunity. Blessed to continue making a difference.
Paying it forward from those who poured into me believed in me, and who made a difference in my life.
Another Season = Another Blessing
Gods Plan… God’s Timing.. His Purpose..

Kyle Shanahan says Brock Purdy is so easy to coach because even after Purdy creates a touchdown out of nothing Shanahan can still immediately tell him what he did wrong and he will receive it the right way
“On our first touchdown versus Denver, Brock had an awesome drive. He scored throwing that ball to Deebo at the end, did his little Dougie and was feeling really good. We all were.”
“But there were a few plays on that drive where I thought he lost his patience. He gave up on things a little quick, didn’t have confidence in them, and broke the pocket instead of sitting there and playing quarterback. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad.”
“He came off, and on the play Deebo scored on, we didn’t really have anything. That was off-schedule. Brock found him and it was awesome. I told him, ‘Dude, we scored because of you on that drive. But settle down.’”
“There were a couple plays where you lost your patience and got out too quick. That’s why Brock’s awesome. He doesn’t get offended. You can keep coaching him no matter what the game is like.”

Happy National Coaches Day! To every coach who gives their time, leads with integrity, and believes in a young person before they believe in themselves, thank you. Your greatest legacy lives in the people you help them become.

Mr. Stangle @WilliamsFieldAD , Mr. Dolan, Coach Campbell, and Coach Moss, Trainers and Coaching Staff:
On behalf of our Hamilton Freshman Football program, I want to sincerely thank each of you for the outstanding hospitality you extended to our players, coaches, and staff before, during, and after today’s ball game.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated with professionalism, respect, and genuine kindness.
Your attention to detail and willingness to make sure our team was taken care of throughout the entire evening did not go unnoticed.
We truly appreciate the way you welcomed our program and provided our young men and coaching staff with such a positive game-day experience.
Regardless of what happens between the lines, the relationships, sportsmanship, and mutual respect surrounding high school athletics are what make these opportunities special.
Thank you again for everything you did for us today. Your hospitality was first-class, and we are grateful for the time, effort, and care you showed our program.
Much respect and appreciation,
Sincerely,
Coach Zellner (“Z”)

ZDAWGZILLA & BIG FRED — THE BROTHERHOOD 🤝
Great lunch today at Blue 32 with my guy Big Fred. Some friendships go way beyond football, coaching, wins, losses, or whatever happens on the field.
It’s about brotherhood. It’s about the people who show up, keep it real, make you laugh, challenge you, and always have your back.
Different journeys. Different personalities. Plenty of stories. 😂 But through it all, the respect and friendship remain the same.
Great food. Great conversation. Even better company.
ZDAWGZILLA & BIG FRED
Two dudes who understand that the best part of the journey is the people you get to share it with.
Brotherhood isn’t something you say. It’s something you live. 💯
