I fully believe Bari Weiss when she says she doesn't care about collapsing ratings. The only reason to care about ratings is profit, and that's not why Larry Ellison, at the age of 82, suddenly went on a frantic shopping spree to purchase Hollywood's studios (Paramount and Warner Bros), news outlets (CBS, CNN), and social media (TikTok). Ellison is the second-richest man on earth. He is not motivated by money-making in the last stage of his life. He bought all these news and entertainment outlets to turn them into Israeli State TV, to try to stem the rising disgust Americans harbor for Israel. Ellison is one of Netanyahu's best friends. He's the single-largest donor to Friends of the IDF. His only political cause is Israel. All the key people he and his son hired as Israel loyalists. So Bari Weiss is telling the truth: her job isn't to increase ratings but to convert CBS into Zionist propaganda.
During her on-stage interview, according to the article, Bari Weiss dismissed concerns about weak ratings at 60 Minutes by saying: “I could never build anything if I were focused on the precise number of people that happen to tune in to the second feature on 60 Minutes on a given Sunday.” theinformation.com/articles/…

Shame! Liberals voted against the NDP bill to protect the right to strike. Even so-called “progressive” Liberals fell in line. The Carney government continues to put the interests of foreign investors over the rights of workers. Here are the receipts:

This was Copenhagen yesterday. The European establishment's abysmal failure on Israel/Gasa is not shared by the European public. The gap between the two is untenable. The public will eventually prevail, but Europe's moral collapse will take years to repair.

Absolutely diabolical. National Post puts a bullseye on Avi Lewis through the rabid ramblings of Yoni Goldstein who invokes Halakhah and Leviticus on how to deal with Jews. Writing Lewis “presents a clear and present danger to the Jewish community” & other Jews are “duty-bound to step in.” This is so irresponsible. The National Post should be stripped of any government funding it receives from Canada. This is wholly negligent and irresponsible.

Selling public assets isn’t “building Canada”, it’s privatizing public wealth. Our airports have long been operated in the public interest by non-profit enterprises. This has served us well. Adding private profits into the mix will undoubtedly increase costs and pressure service.

Privatizing airports is a terrible deal for travellers, workers, and the public purse. Around the world, it has led to higher travel costs, fewer jobs and worse working conditions. Private equity moguls and fund managers love it! Once they’re in, they own a piece of a natural monopoly, and they print money for decades. This is a mistake we do not need to make. The alternative to privatizing our airports is to NOT DO IT.

Shorter: We're saving Canada by selling it.
Mark Carney: "We've had several decades of experience around the world, with the process not of privatizing the airports but moving towards an arrangement where private operators come in to manage the airports for a period of decades, the underlying assets, the underlying airport retained by the government."

Robert Kraft, owner of the Gillette Stadium, called Ed Sheeran and told him Macklemore would not be allowed to perform in his stadium and rallied other stadium owners to collectively tell Ed to remove @macklemore from the tour. Ed caved: "Ed Sheeran... told me that the words 'Free Palestine' and the image of the Palestinian flag were hurtful to a lot of people he spoke with. I told him that if those words were more offensive than tens of thousands of Palestinian children being killed by Israel, then there was a fundamental disconnect between where those people stood and where I stood. But he couldn't get past his public facing, 'I don't take sides'." @edsheeran took a side alright:

We're so fucked.
Q: The worst case is that AI will turn against humanity. Do we have guardrails? Trump: It's going to be fine. We'll always have something to stop them. We'll have a little gear. Boom. 'I really don't like that robot.'

Very disappointed that our mayor chose a community event to announce a council candidate. Super inappropriate for someone there representing the City of Vancouver, not a political party.
It was a bizarre move and cleared out most of the dignitaries incl. me. And, announcing a partisan candidate while making a speech as Mayor is not only widely inappropriate, I’m pretty sure he’s violated the code of conduct - again. He put organizers in a position they needed to apologize.

🚨 DISGUSTING: UN Special Rapporter Albanese reveals the US completely cut her off from the finanical system! Anyone doing business with her faces 20 years in prison and a $1M fine. The Trump adminstration uses financial terrorism to silence critics of the Zionist regime!
🚨 BOMBSHELL! UN Special Rapporter confirms US Congress members sent mafia-style threats to the ICC prosecutor! They explicitly threatened his family just to protect Israel. Washington operates like a global criminal sndicate to silence internatinal law for Zionists!

More than 99% of @cupenat cabin crew workers at WestJet voted in favour of a strike mandate. We've seen what Mark Carney does when workers legally exercise their rights. The Liberals have used Section 107 multiple times to stamp out worker power, forcing them back to work without a fair contract. WestJet workers have taken every step to win a deal and now they may go on strike. The question is: will the Liberals violate these workers' rights, too? @DonDavies and @LeahGazan are calling on the Liberals — respect workers’ collective bargaining rights and stop using Section 107.
Today, my colleague @LeahGazan and I wrote a letter calling on the Minister of Jobs, @PattyHajdu, to refrain from violating WestJet workers’ right to strike.

Urgent call to the international community to take immediate action to stop Israel's violence and prevent pogroms by settler militias and the Israeli army across the West Bank. In recent days, violence by settler militias, enabled and supported by the Israeli army, has escalated across the West Bank, including the torching and destruction of Palestinian property, and the forced expulsion of families and communities. These attacks have been met with silence and inaction from much of the international community, allowing the violence to continue and intensify. Today's event in the village of Tell (Area B) when a settlers' "tour" in the village ended with the killing of at least 4 Palestinians and 1 settler and several people injured is leading to escalated violence in the area with settlers, ministers, and Knesset members calling for further revenge attacks which already started across the West Bank. Experience shows that these events can escalate quickly into mass pogroms when met with silence. We call the international community to act now. Immediate pressure must be placed on Israel to stop further attacks, prevent pogroms and further killings, and ensure the protection of Palestinians, in accordance with Israel's obligations under international law. I have written to the new Prime Minister to ask if he will support my Bill for a public inquiry into Britain's complicity in genocide. This government faces a simple choice: be on the right side, or block our efforts to expose the truth.

This is exactly what a head of government must say. The ICC should (be left free to) do the rest.

This contract is clearly designed to enable both Trump's mass deportation campaign, and his move to use ICE to manipulate the midterm elections. But it’s also a reminder of how deeply entwined Canada's elites are with US corporate and government interests. If the Carney government is serious about Canadian economic independence, it should move to block this contract immediately, with new legislation if necessary. Collaboration between Canadian corporations and ICE should be illegal.

Shocking: under the Liberals’ "Buy Canadian" procurement policy more than 70% of contracts have gone to foreign-owned subsidiaries. What's the point of a "Buy Canadian" policy if Canadian taxpayer dollars aren't supporting Canadian-owned companies? Profits should stay in Canada.
