Many Harris County voters are leaving their "I voted" stickers as a tribute at the memorial of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a man who was shot and killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Houston in July.

IF KAMALA HARRIS HAD WON:
●TRUMP WOULD BE IN PRISON
●STRAIT OF HORMUZ WOULD BE OPEN
●UKRAINE WOULD BE VICTORIOUS
●GAS UNDER $3/GALLON
●AMERICA RESPECTED WORLDWIDE
DO YOU AGREE?

I got my start in politics after our daughter, Abigail, was born. Even though she was in intensive care and couldn’t swallow, I was discharged from the hospital after just 24 hours due to insurance rules.
So I went to the State Capitol and took on the insurance companies to get the law changed so that didn’t happen to other moms. It taught me that you can take on hard fights and get things done. That’s how I will lead as Governor.

Today, in an abhorrent Truth Social post, Donald Trump stoked violence against a sitting governor.
Minnesotans know where violent rhetoric like this leads. I'm calling on Michele Tafoya to condemn Trump’s post because violent language like this cannot stand.

Since Trump and MAGA promote the complete LIE that Jane goes to school in the morning and comes home in the afternoon as Jimmy, then they are responsible for it! ✅

I’m still amazed at how Donald Trump told his supporters that they are too poor and broke to afford Mar-a-Lago and the idiots clapped.

Texas! I just cast my ballot. Donald Trump, Greg Abbott and Dan Patrick have led a GOP War on Black America and Black Texas. Let’s kick their ass at the ballot box! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

Food for thought - TX Rs that would look like they’re firnly in the red column but are objectively not as to Paxton:
- George W. Bush — former President
- Karl Rove — former senior advisor to President George W. Bush
- Dade Phelan — former Texas House Speaker (“There’s not a world in which I can vote for a Ken Paxton.”)
- John Cornyn — outgoing U.S. Senator
- Betsy Price — former Fort Worth Mayor (Will not vote for Paxton.)
- Glenn Rogers — former Texas state rep (“I’ll never trust Ken Paxton, I’ll never support Ken Paxton”; character over party.)
- Ed Emmett — former Harris County Judge (Has publicly criticized full-ticket support for Paxton amid ongoing scandals.)
- Privately — Almost every elected you know, from both parties, and a ton of Paxton’s former staff.
Others founded “Republicans for Talarico” or explicitly endorsed Talarico over Paxton:
- Kel Seliger — former Texas state senator and former Amarillo Mayor (Lifelong Republican who endorsed Talarico at an Amarillo event, citing representation of the people over billionaires buying offices.)
- David Maxwell — former Director of the Law Enforcement Division under Ken Paxton (Appeared in a Talarico ad; reported Paxton to the FBI as a whistleblower.)
- Neil Bush — Son and brother to R Presidents (Publicly indicated support for Talarico.)
- Barbara Bush — Daughter and grand-daughter to R Presidents (Publicly indicated support for Talarico.)
- James Edge — Bryan City Council member and mayor pro tem; former Texas GOP convention delegate (“I cannot vote for Ken Paxton.”)
- Jimmie Don Aycock — former Texas state rep
- Steve Bartlett — former Dallas Mayor and former U.S. Rep (“Supporting James Talarico doesn’t change that [I’m a proud Republican].”)
- Dorothy Burton — former Duncanville Mayor Pro Tem and City Council member
- Ryan Davenport — former GOP convention delegate
- Donna Halstead — former Dallas City Council member
- Deborah Hankinson — retired Texas Supreme Court Justice
- Kimberly Priest Johnson — retired U.S. Magistrate Judge
- Susan Lewis King — former Texas state rep (Lack of bipartisan effort.)
- Adam Kinzinger — former U.S. Rep
- Shane Phelps — former Deputy Attorney General under John Cornyn
- Tom Phillips — retired Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice
- Bennett Ratliff — former Texas state rep
- Jim Richards — former Dallas City Council member
- Dale Ross — former Georgetown Mayor
- Andrew Sansom — former Executive Director of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
- Todd Smith — former Texas state rep
- Lionel Sosa — former campaign adviser to Presidents Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush
- Alan Steelman — former U.S. Rep
- Glen Whitley — former Tarrant County Judge
Now imagine all those TX R politicians who won’t say it, but won’t support Paxton. And their friends. And their friend’s friends.
The unknown R voters who can’t/won’t support Paxton - the folks that don’t say it out loud but will vote accordingly.

Ken Paxton’s former top cop on why he’s voting for James Talarico:
I spent 2 hours with James Talarico. Number one, I saw no deception. He answered all my difficult questions. He didn’t dodge anything. He hit it head on.
I have been around politicians my entire life. I served 5 governors, I’ve met 4 presidents… And James Talarico is so different than other people I’ve encountered.
I think he’s the man who needs to go to Washington DC, and Ken Paxton needs to go home.
MANAGER TEXTED ME ABOUT SITTING DOWN ON SHIFT. I TEXTED BACK MY RESIGNATION.
Manager:
Good evening. Reviewed the cameras from today's shift and noticed you were seated for most of it. This isn't acceptable and we'll need to discuss it before your shift tomorrow.
Me:
I had that cleared with my lead already. I've got two documented fractures in my left foot, doctor's note on file.
Also, for context, I hit 230+ units per hour for the full 12-hour shift. There's a ranked performance board above our stations. I finished first today.
So just to clarify, my output being the best on the floor got overshadowed because I wasn't standing while doing it?
Manager:
I'm not a fan of this attitude. You could've just led with the part about it being cleared instead of being combative. This kind of response isn't going to serve you well here.
Me:
Appreciate you using my time off to bring up something you didn't bother checking on first.
230+ units an hour, by your own metric that's supposedly the gold standard, and I'm getting a talking-to because I was sitting while doing it. Might want to rethink what actually matters here. Also explains a lot about your turnover problem.
I'm not worried about "going anywhere" with this company. It's a toxic environment run by people with backwards priorities. I won't be in tomorrow. Or after that.
Manager:
Let's not jump straight to you quitting. We can sort this out in the morning.
Me:
Pass. Take care.
Quit on the spot last night. Got to make my kids breakfast and actually drive them to school this morning for the first time in months. Onto the next thing, wish me luck.

Watching so many people finally saying out loud what we're all thinking is very satisfying
Jill and I are mourning the loss of our friend Dolores Huerta, a giant of the American labor and civil rights movements.
For more than seventy years, Dolores fought for working people. She organized in the fields, she walked the picket lines, and she sat across the table from people who never expected to have to negotiate with her.
I say often the middle class built this country, and unions built the middle class. Dolores understood that in her bones. Well into her nineties she was still traveling, marching and organizing for working families, for women, for immigrants, for LGBTQ Americans.
Even this year, she showed a different kind of courage, telling a painful truth she had carried for sixty years so others would not have to carry theirs alone.
America is fairer and more decent because of Dolores Huerta. Jill and I send our love to her entire family, and to everyone who found their voice because of her.
May God bless Dolores Huerta. Sí, se puede.
