Remember… the only reason this is a story is because Farage himself chose to raise it.
Bonkers.
‘It's absolutely laughable... he was the one that grabbed me and pushed me out the way.’
Lib Dem MP Caroline Voaden addresses her ‘altercation’ with Nigel Farage, which he says led him to miss yesterday’s Budget.

I also asked Reform today if they can confirm Farage received correspondence, and I've had no direct response.
The House of Commons press office says it doesn't comment on individual conduct or security matters, or correspondence with Members

Yes I think this is exactly what he will do

I've been asking the question for a while - they say they don't comment on correspondence or conduct!

No I didn’t say that. He grabbed me and shoved me out of the way - I think a colleague said I was sent flying but I wasn’t.

John Healey has come full circle on welfare in a day. This morning he told the BBC's Today programme he'd cut welfare spending before the election. Now he tells @Channel4News: 'It's not correct to say that we're going to bring this welfare bill down in this Parliament...'

Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch has told Good Morning Britain that ‘racist attacks’ on her are ‘not going to work’, after a former aide to Nigel Farage called her a ‘Nigerian scammer’.
Former UKIP adviser Raheem Kassam posted a series of tweets attacking Mrs Badenoch at the weekend.
When Reform UK’s Robert Jenrick was asked about the attacks by Ranvir and Paul, he said it wasn't his place to police what people write online.

This is utter rubbish. Labour never use prayer cards, so I've never used one in 9.5 yrs. When the Chamber's rammed (as it was when Zelenskyy spoke remotely to MPs in the HOC Chamber in 2022), we sit on the floor, the steps, stand, perch in the doorways, etc. But today's Budget wasn't rammed at all.

I was sat in front of Reform today.
One of their team was asked by the Chief Whip if they’d give up their seat for Nigel, which they agreed to.
But Nigel didn’t bother turning up….
Excl: Nigel Farage did not attend the Budget speech in the Commons because his seat reservation was removed from the green benches, Reform sources have claimed
The Reform UK leader's team say his prayer card was moved after being placed this morning so he watched the speech with his policy & comms aides instead

The Times published its opinion in the same way it has for more than 200 years. As it happens I agree with it, though I don’t always. I’m happy to publicly associate myself with what it said on this matter.

Sorry, this isn’t credible. If you want to be in the chamber for the budget, there’s always a way.

It is, in the words of Nigel’s hero “fake news”
Your prayer card is there to guarantee you a place at prayers, if you turn up - or are on a parliamentary committee so have an official reason to be elsewhere - you’ve got a seat for the day
If you don’t turn up, it’s removed. Been the case for over a century I believe. MPs who aren’t religious or of other faiths just turn up and just sit silently for the couple of minutes prayers
Farage, as ever, thinks he should have special rules for him. He doesn’t get special rules and he shouldn’t get special rules.
With @Nigel_Farage there’s always someone else to blame. But it’s always him.
Nigel Farage was unable to attend the Budget in the Commons because his seat reservation was removed, The Telegraph understands.
The Reform UK leader’s prayer card — a green slip of paper that backbench MPs put on a spot on the green benches to reserve their seat — was moved after it was placed this morning.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Farage's prayer card lacked a valid date stamp and was removed per House of Commons protocol. MPs confirm seats were available unreserved and he did not attend prayers to secure one.
