I think the people making money off of elections make sure the polls are close so they can squeeze every last dime out of the donors.
Then they take that $ and spend it on tv- which is basically lighting it on fire because tv ads don’t change the outcome of elections in the last 90 days.
@elonmusk, this isn't just opinion. 30 years of randomized controlled trials back it up. See Get Out the Vote by Donald Green & Alan Gerber (5th ed.), pp. 172–173.
@tylerbowyer @Maloney
If I’m wrong, I’ll eat my words, but I don’t think I am and I want to note this:
I think that the polls are wrong again. I don’t think that they’re off by a 2016 margin (or 2020), but they don’t have to be. I think election night will look a lot like 2022, just in reverse.
As I look around the country, I just don’t believe that Ashley Moody only leads Angie Nixon by 6. I don’t believe that Cindy Hyde-Smith only leads Colom by 4. I don’t believe Kansas is a dead heat, nor do I believe Indiana is, nor do I believe Iowa is (or Minnesota, for that matter).
I think that on election night we’re going to see Max Engling win by 4-6 in Indiana, I think we’ll see Ashley Hinson win in Iowa (and maybe Zach Lahn too), I think we see Paxton walk away in Texas by a few points, and that we see Moody blow it out in Florida. I’d even give Husted and Ramaswamy the edge in Ohio, and probably bet on Rogers right now in Michigan.
The polls don’t have to be that wrong for us to have a solid election night, we just need a few close ones to go our way.
Hey @Kate_P45: Just yesterday I tweeted has anybody seen Justice de Moraes and Jeb Boasberg in the same place at the same time?😆
We all mock the insanity of Brazil's Supreme Court. Justice de Moraes banned X and Rumble, and locked up a former president. 🚨
Now look at what's happening HERE. 🇺🇸
After Trump won in November 2024, the Senate confirmed 22 more Biden judges, many foreign born in the lame duck. Senate Republicans cut a deal and let 21 of them through.
The result: 72% of the major lawsuits against this administration landed with Democrat-appointed judges, because the left files in the courts that suit them. D.C. alone has had more than 100 of them.
Judge Boasberg tried to stop the deportation flights. Activist judges have ignored our election and overrode the President on immigration, on foreign aid, on his own staff.
The House has the power of the purse. Use it. Impeach. Defund. Rein them in. Congress created these courts, and Congress can limit them. 🇺🇸
And Chief Justice Roberts, who is friends with Boasberg and put him on the FISA court, still hasn't done enough to rein in the lower courts.
We ourselves in America are witnessing a judicial coup in America. 🚨

Hillary Clinton emails are now available via @ItsYourGov. 🔥
A man by the name of Jake Sullivan was Hillary’s right hand at the State Department.
Here Hillary Clinton needed some talking points. The secure (protected) fax wasn’t working.
Clinton taught Jake how to send it the nonsecure way by removing headers.
Jake Sullivan became NSA under Joe Biden and operated the shadow government as the "gatekeeper" barring access to Joe Biden.
Jake Sullivan is married to Seditious Six, Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander. The "Shadow Government" never ended. 🤯🚨

Six days before the election, Hillary Clinton went on her podcast with Kara Swisher and said a Democratic Congress will "investigate him, his administration, his family, his supporters and allies." Then: "So buckle up. The election is just the beginning."
Supporters. That's you, filed under suspects.
This is the same woman who told a 2016 debate stage it was "awfully good" someone with Trump's temperament wasn't "in charge of the law." A decade of crying "weaponization," and the closing pitch for the gavel is a subpoena list with your name on it.
She told you what the majority is for. Believe her on Tuesday.

Regardless of who wins the US Senate race from Texas this year, James Talarico or Ken Paxton, I will say this: The anti-Paxton people have done generational damage to whatever they think their brand of Republican or conservatism is.
They told us to hold our nose and vote for your candidates in the general and challenge them in the primaries. They told us our differences, even our concerns about their candidate's character, didn't matter.
We did as they asked.
Over and over and over again.
Because they needed our votes and the alternative was worse.
We're asking you to do what you told us to do: Hold your nose and vote for our candidates in the general and challenge them in the primaries.
You are refusing.
Over and over and over again.
In an election where the alternative is the worst it has ever been.
We'll remember that next time you need our votes.
And before you say it: You WILL need our votes. If you didn't, your Cornyn would have won the Primary and be cruising to an easy election and Democrats would be failing in elections all over the nation. That isn't happening, and that didn't happen. You think all the moderates you're alienating will vote for your candidates to make up for all the conservatives you're also alienating?
It's like RINO Inc is TRYING to make themselves utterly electorally non-viable by alienating literally everyone.
Actually @HughHewitt, Israel will probably have another election in about 3 months, due to Qatar’s election interference.

Not an Israeli. Not Jewish. Just a believer in the necessity of a strong U.S.-Israel strategic partnershio. The Jewish State is the most important ally of America in the world with the power and will to use it if conflict erupts. So I hope PM @Netanyahu sits down with Mr. Bennett and Mr. Lapid and brings them in as Defense and Foreign Minsiers and then offers Mr. Eisenkot what he would like and together they work with President Trump to end the Iranian-IRGC threat once and for all, freeing the Iranian people again. The world would be so much better off. Seriously, Israeli friends, could you make the most important thing the most importsnt thing for two years? timesofisrael.com/topic/2026… via @timesofisrael

🚨 A stunning display of political hypocrisy!
Did Anita Orbán lie to the US Secretary of State?
The Hungarian Foreign Minister smiled as she signed an agreement in Washington, negotiated by Viktor Orbán and the Trump administration, aimed at strengthening joint efforts against far-left extremist violence.
The problem is that the European Parliament decided by a margin of just one vote not to lift Ilaria Salis’s parliamentary immunity. Péter Magyar, by his own admission, did not participate in the vote. In fact, he even asked the other MEPs from his Tisza Party to abstain or not vote at all. In other words, when a single vote could have made all the difference, Péter Magyar deliberately chose to stay away.
Salis is one of the defendants in the case concerning the 2023 Antifa attacks in Budapest. The attacks have been linked to Antifa Ost, a far-left extremist network designated as a terrorist organisation by the United States. The activists who travelled to Hungary in an organised manner were accused of carrying out coordinated, politically motivated assaults against people on the streets of Budapest. Criminal proceedings against Salis in Hungary cannot continue because the European Parliament upheld her immunity. As a result, she remains a Member of the European Parliament and continues her political activities.
The case of Maja T. raises similarly serious questions. Convicted in Hungary in connection with the same attacks, Maja T. had the prison sentence reduced on appeal after the change of government, and preparations have begun for a transfer to Germany. The obvious question is what guarantees exist to ensure that the sentence will actually be served, and whether the transfer could lead to an early release.
How shameless do you have to be to look the US Secretary of State in the eye, smile, and sign an agreement on combating far-left terrorism, while your own Prime Minister deliberately stayed away from a vote in which a single ballot made the difference between lifting and preserving Ilaria Salis’s immunity?
What did they tell the Americans? Did they also disclose that Péter Magyar refused to vote to lift Salis’s immunity? Or did they conveniently leave out that embarrassing detail?
Smiles in Washington and ceremonial signatures are no substitute for straight answers. The US Secretary of State has every right to know what Hungary’s government leaders actually do when it comes to taking action against far-left extremist violence.

Kahane was right here. With every single word he spoke. It doesn’t matter if you personally liked him or not, he was absolutely right.
The Gazans invaded southern Israel. They massacred innocent unarmed men, women, children and the elderly, with no shame. In fact they cheered it and were elated with every person they raped and burned and beheaded. They called their parents to tell them how proud they were for killing Jews.
They started this war and they intended to do it and worse. So nobody should ever expect me to feel an ounce of sympathy or empathy or anything for them. They want us all dead. They made their own fate. Our only job is to protect our people and ensure that these Islamists can never do it again. And they promised to do it again. And again. And again.
I don’t feel anything for them.

"If we were to enforce laws on polygamy, we would catch a lot of jihadis, because the jihadis are Sharia adherent" @jihadwatchRS
In its 1890 decision, the Supreme Court made clear that Utah could not become a state while the Mormon Church practiced polygamy.
Religious freedom did not override the principle that American women are not commodities.
The same standard applies today: Muslims may practice their faith freely except where it contradicts American law.
Enforcing the existing polygamy ban would identify many serious Sharia adherents.
Securing America with Frank Gaffney 10.28.26: Watch the full discussion here on 𝕏
SECURING AMERICA: 10/28/26
Frank is joined by Robert Spencer to discuss Islamic law and tradition, the Muslim Brotherhood, mosques, and the compatibility of Sharia with the U.S. Constitution.
Robert argues that Islamic law and tradition are inherently political and expansionist, and he rejects a distinction between Islam and political forms of it. He says Muslims who reject these political elements are a minority and may face condemnation within their communities. The conversation turns to mosques, which he characterizes as centers for religious instruction and political activity. He cites the Muslim Brotherhood’s 1991 explanatory memorandum as describing mosques as part of a strategy to Islamize surrounding areas, and notes that arrangements placing them near infrastructure or security facilities do not surprise him.
He describes the Muslim Brotherhood as founded in Egypt in 1928 to restore the caliphate, which he defines as a unified Islamic government. Its objectives may be pursued through political activity, infiltration, propaganda, and other means as well as armed conflict. The discussion examines whether adherence to Sharia is compatible with the U.S. Constitution. Robert argues that it is not, and calls for religious practices that violate American law to be restricted. He cites polygamy and female genital mutilation as examples and criticizes what he describes as political reluctance to confront such practices. He also addresses a Michigan political candidate, saying the public record warrants skepticism while acknowledging that actual loyalties are not known.
In the final section, he discusses cooperation between left-wing movements and Islamic groups, describing both as authoritarian and sharing opposition to the United States and Western civilization, while warning that their goals may ultimately conflict. He criticizes the prospect of Sharia-adherent political candidates holding office and refers to Muslim political representation as part of a broader strategy of electoral jihad. @jihadwatchRS

The bigger revelation from the Alaska episode isn’t just that a decoy candidate was recruited. It’s that lawyers from Marc Elias’s law firm who were apparently involved in the scheme were also involved in the subsequent lawsuits aimed at challenging or suppressing the fallout.
I think the overlap between those orchestrating the operation and those litigating its aftermath deserves far more scrutiny than it’s receiving.

Palantir’s head of defense says AI just made invading Taiwan more tempting for Xi: “If we run away with AI, now is his moment to stop us.”
Mike Gallagher, the former chair of the House China Committee, said it at an October 28 event in Indiana: “The logic of Xi Jinping sacrificing enormously to take Taiwan is getting more compelling.”
His reasoning is about TSMC. “If China takes Taiwan, they will control TSMC or disable TSMC. They will have the ability to hold the rest of the world economically hostage.”
In a September Wall Street Journal op-ed, he called Taiwan the “single point of failure” in the AI race and argued the cost to Beijing of not taking Taiwan may soon exceed the cost of taking it. His fix: arm Taiwan heavily and speed up US chip manufacturing and advanced packaging.
One counterpoint: US intelligence has assessed an invasion as extremely difficult, with a high risk of failure.
The chips that power AI may also be what puts the island at risk.

Hey @MartinVars: Actually, utilities have become more speculative as well, as was pointed out a decade ago by @DavidPGoldman.
A year ago, Microsoft, Alphabet and Meta generated $60.7 billion of free cash flow in a single quarter. This summer, $7.4 billion.
They didn't sell less. Revenue grew 19% at Microsoft, 25% at Alphabet and 26% at Meta. What changed is the bill: $125.6 billion in three months for data centers, chips and servers, double what they spent a year earlier. Meta put 54 cents of every dollar of revenue into capex. Alphabet spent $9 billion more than it took in, its second negative quarter in a row, and this morning its stock fell 12%. If it closes down more than 9.77%, it will be its worst day after earnings since going public in 2004.
The detail that worries me most is in Google's search numbers. Search ads grew 12% and still missed expectations. Philipp Schindler, Alphabet's chief business officer, said part of the reason is that AI Mode makes less money per search. So Google is spending record sums to build a product that earns less than the one it replaces.
For twenty years these were the best businesses ever invented. You wrote the code once, sold it to billions of people, and almost every new dollar of revenue fell to the bottom line. AI doesn't work like that. Every answer runs on a chip someone had to buy and on electricity someone has to pay for. Big Tech is turning into something closer to a utility: huge upfront costs, long paybacks, and profits that depend on keeping the machines full.
That can still be a great business. But it is a different business, and investors are only starting to price it that way.
The old moat was code. The new one is cash.

A BRAND NEW PERSONAL TRUMP STORY THAT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND: Democrats think Trump is a "bad guy." He's been nicest politician of any kind to me in my decades in politics. One of my great friends has a mother turning 99 years old. Big party on Saturday. All she wants for her 99th Bday is 1) Signed personal letter from President and 2) Me as host of her party to read the letter out loud to crowd. I asked. President delivered. FedEx arrived at my home yesterday with personal letter from President Trump, signed by President (not robo pen). He just made 99 yr old's life! She will cry tears of joy. At age 99, President of US sent her a personal letter celebrating her BDay and her life as mom of 4 children & widow of a hero Navy pilot. And I'm giving up my day off on Saturday to join her at nursing home, to host her party, and read the letter to crowd! Yeah, President Trump is some "bad guy." In middle of midterm election he took time to write this letter. That's class. That's love of country. That's man of the people. Thank you President Trump. And thanks to Natalie Harp for coordinating it all and making it happen on short notice. Amazing people! God bless America.
