There’s a whole host of staff members in Lambeth’s Housing and Temporary Accommodation departments that need to be fired from their jobs, sheer incompetence, a lack of empathy and an incredible level of negligence.

25,000 new homes. Only 1000 will be council housing 🙄.

Lambeth Council has spent £25m+ on climate and “active travel” initiatives since 2019
It is also paying more than 40 staff at least £100k a year including a “director of climate and inclusive growth” who is on £160k.
Now it is dimming the street lights to help pay the bills 🙄
This is the worst funding crisis the council has ever faced.
On Monday, Cabinet approved £50M of budget savings, as we face “impossible choices” due to unprecedented demand for emergency housing, & years of funding cuts by previous governments.

Is this Britain’s worst council? The area where tenants live in squalor
Yes. Lambeth is the worst I’ve come across.

I’ve never in my time campaigning had to say this about a council:
Of ALL the councils I’ve come across nationally, Lambeth Council are BY FAR the worst in their treatment of homeless people and those living in poor conditions 🤦🏽♂️
I’d 110% support ANY investigation into the councils conduct and practice. Disgracefully poor treatment of residents by staff…

I'm apolitical, but i must say the Green Party has done more for us at MC over the years than either the Labour or the Tories, who are just both cheeks of the same arse.

Can we please start by investigating Labour's Homes for Lambeth and some of the contracts and decision-making there. A lot of people made a lot of money and delivered nothing.
Why for example was the Hydethorpe development redacted from the kerslake review?

I genuinely believe government intervention is needed when it comes to Lambeth Councils repair service.
Of all the councils across the country I have dealt with the most complaints have come from Lambeth Council residents.

I've never seen so much BS as what I'm witnessing now. Lambeth consistently disregard the human rights of residents. Us. Us people. Repairs are not completed, appointments are never met.
What are we paying for? Where does our rent go?
Our complaints go nowhere. We need HELP!
