Norman Finkelstein says "there was no democratic election in Israel" because Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza make up 30% of the potential electorate under Israeli rule and are barred from voting, comparing it to excluding NY, CA, TX, and FL from a US election.

🚨Russell Brand arrives at Southwark Crown Court. Yesterday he gave evidence; today the walk is different.
He thought his evidence would end the trial by lunch.
Laura beside him does the supportive-wife
routine with the energy of someone who just checked the prenup in the car.
He reaches for her waist. She pats him for half a second, then drops her arm.
That’s not “we’re fine.” That’s “I’ve realised the miracle Russell promised is not going to happen.”

The judge in Russell Brand’s rape and sexual assault trial has told the jury that Brand failed to mention the accounts he now relies on when interviewed by police.
The judge warned that these omissions may harm his defence, saying:
"These failures to set out his case may harm his defence if you conclude that he failed to mention these facts in interview because he did not have an answer at the time of interview, he had no answer that he then believed would stand up to questioning, or he has invented this account after the interview."

LMAO. I have always wished journalists could just start asking him questions about fake things just to see what nonsense comes out. Like:
“Sir, do you you have a reaction to President Almondo of Marzipan's speech this morning attacking the Norwegian Nobel Committee for failing to award you this year’s Peace Prize?”

❗️Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) visited the site of a nighttime Russian attack in Kyiv where a civilian was killed. He noted that the world has grown accustomed to the war, yet attacks continue and civilians, as always, are the victims. The actor arrived for a week as part of his work with the UNDP to collect people’s stories and remind donors of the need to support Ukraine, especially ahead of winter. The day before, he spent the night in a Kyiv metro shelter.

Russell Brand on the anal rape.
He says the fan who accuses him of anally raping her at his home in 2009 did not say "no" or tell him to stop as they were having sex.
"Did she tell you to stop, or that she didn't want to proceed in that way?" his lawyer asks.
He continues: "Did you ram or force your penis into an unlubricated anus so as to rape her?"
Brand says: "No."
Brand describes her attitude as "coquettishness, coyness" and says she had never complained of pain.
He says he would not have had unprotected or unlubricated anal sex as it would have been "uncomfortable" and "painful".
When asked if there was any mess on the bed afterwards, Brand says he has a "vague recollection" of mess but "nothing remarkable" and that he did not tell her to clean it up.
Brand says there was no doubt in his mind that continuing sexual activity without a condom was a consensual act.

Remember that “well-known” individual who was seeking a High Court injunction to stop ITN and The Guardian from naming him and publishing serious claims about his conduct over several years, including sexual misconduct?
His lawyers argue publication could devastate him, citing two alleged suicide attempts, one in May and then again in July, on that occasion escaping from secure hospital to do so.
But the media’s barrister says the allegations are credible, supported by more than 30 first-hand sources, and strongly in the public interest.
The judge warned that allowing threats of suicide to prevent publication could set a precedent with almost limitless consequences.
The individual denies the allegations.
The case continues.

Anyone defending Tommy Robinson needs to explain exactly what they think he should be allowed to get away with.
A man who claims to be a great British patriot, lives in Spain and spends the majority of the year on holiday at the expense of his “donors” was sitting in a holiday resort in Cyprus while stirring up civil unrest in Britain. Journalists reported on it. That is their job. It was a legitimate national story.
And because Robinson didn’t like the scrutiny, he sent private investigators after the journalists, had them tracked and photographed, exposed their home addresses and their families, and threatened to turn up at their homes, saying “I’m coming to get you”. One journalist needed personal security. Another had to remove his family from their home.
If you believe that is acceptable behaviour, that a man can threaten journalists and expose their families to intimidation simply because he dislikes their reporting, then you aren’t defending free speech. You’re defending intimidation. A jury heard the evidence and convicted him. Stop pretending this was a conspiracy because you don’t like the verdict.
