We participated in the official launch of Uganda's National Data Strategy, a landmark framework that will shape how data is valued, shared, and secured for national development. We are honoured that the National Personal Data Protection Director, Mr. @Birikujja served as a member of the Technical Committee that steered the development of this Strategy, reaffirming the centrality of data protection in Uganda's digital transformation journey. In his remarks at the launch, @Birikujja emphasized the vitality of governance in the legal implementation of the Strategy, noting that effective governance is what ultimately translates into trust. That is; trust by citizens, by businesses, and by partners in how Uganda harnesses data. We remain committed to providing assurance on responsible and lawful use of data; and Supporting the Strategy's pillar on Security and Protection by guiding institutions on how to guard against and effectively handle data breaches.
