This has been the UAE tactic throughout the Middle East, of course, but also in Europe, targeting Arabs they considered too "Islamist" with lies and smears. Here's just one example:

Abu Dhabi Secrets
How a Swiss company spied across Europe on behalf of the UAE state.
Abu Dhabi Secrets reveals how the Swiss private intelligence company Alp Services has been contracted by the UAE government to spy on Muslim citizens of 18 countries in Europe and beyond. Alp Services has sent to the UAE intelligence services the names of more than 1000 individuals and 400 organizations in 18 European countries, labelling them as part of the Muslim Brotherhood network in Europe.
If these leaked documents are authentic,
this is far bigger than a PR campaign.
The reporting describes a private
intelligence operation that allegedly
mapped American Muslim organizations
and individuals, then considered ways
to damage their reputations through
media pressure, anonymous briefings,
Wikipedia edits and regulatory channels.
That raises a serious democratic question:
Should a foreign government be able to
finance covert influence operations
aimed at shaping how American citizens
and civil society groups are perceived?
The claims deserve independent scrutiny,
full disclosure of the funding trail,
and responses from everyone involved.
Religious identity or political activism
should never become a shortcut for
branding people as extremists without
clear, verifiable evidence.
Sadly, among the weak in faith—and due to Persian-Majusi expansionism—it has reached the point where chanting the names of Gaza and Palestine supposedly absolves you of sin, even if you target the Muslims' Qibla and their holy sites.
Does chanting for Palestine absolve you even if you caused Gaza's destruction yet failed to send a single morsel of food or drop of water?
Does chanting for Gaza absolve you of shedding Muslim blood in the name of "supporting" Gaza?
Does demolishing mosques and killing children and innocents in the name of Gaza also absolve you?
Is Gaza mentioned in Islam as an expiation for sins?
No one has harmed the cause of Palestine quite like Iran’s militias and their supporters; they alienate people and sow hatred toward the very name of the cause they exploit as a cover for their crimes.
That is why it is no surprise when we say these militias are a Jewish creation designed to lure the foolish and repel the intelligent.
Does Islam encourage the fools who believe all of this?
For anyone wondering why the UAE would do such a thing, it’s primarily due to their leadership’s long-standing view of the Muslim Brotherhood + political Islam as an existential threat to monarchical rule. They don’t want to be overthrown lmao.
Post Arab Spring, they have taken efforts to try and suppress any groups that would destabilise their region and lead to political unrest. This includes painting certain types of Muslims in a negative light, because it stands to benefit them. Truly astonishing stuff.
#uae should be annexed between Iran and Saudi Arabia. they have brainless leadership that look like ostrich physically.
Let’s break it down: the UAE is all about exporting Islamophobia, Zionism, and a side of war. They also bankroll militants and incite wars in other nations. Their official state vibe is nothing short of Zionist Islamophobia.UAE=East Israel
