I don't think there has ever been a greater collective outrage at something than the current situation with cyclists on Oxford street. Meanwhile, every single day in the world of motoring, and the public doesn't bat an eyelid:
A 36-year-old woman is dead in Leeds after a black Vauxhall Corsa that refused to stop for police hit her on Beckett Street in Harehills and drove off. Two minutes from the chase starting. Abandoned car. Occupants fled. Manhunt ongoing. This is what British roads look like now. People who treat a police stop as the starting gun for a high-speed escape, then leave a pedestrian dying in the road. How many more innocent people have to be killed before we stop pretending this is just “bad luck” or “complex”? The woman never had a chance. The driver chose to make the road a weapon. Bastard!

Some more good news. Camden High Street is permanently pedestrianised. Remove cars, and everything is much nicer, and trade flourishes.

I have submitted a question to ask the Scottish Government to provide evidence that a school bag will close the attainment gap. Character bags can cost between £11-£15 Branded rucksacks between £15-£20 Why are they squandering taxpayers money?!

Since 2016, London’s cycling network has grown fivefold, from 90 to 450 km. The result? 1.5 million daily cycle journeys—a 43% spike since 2019—twice as many bikes as cars on City of London streets during the day, and motor traffic in steady decline—having fallen 25% since 2019.

Never mind the future. We’re currently queuing outside to even access arrivals. You’ve become a national embarrassment @EDI_Airport & getting worse. Fancy shops & lounges are great, but you MUST sort arrivals. Shocking.

The Kelvingrove thing isn’t about respect for the dead. There isn’t a person alive who could claim to have a meaningful connection with that mummy. It’s all about the smug, self-indulgent conceit of the people who made the decision. It’s quite funny as well tho. 😂

‘Scottish Green activists push for legal recognition of polyamory’ They want legal recognition of polyamorous and “multiple partner” relationships. I don’t think any of them are remotely interested in the climate. Those who were are long gone. scotsman.com/news/politics/s…

This full length video is brutal. A Scottish currency means a painful and substantial devaluation against Sterling. There is no avoiding the economic gravity that creates this. Watching @RideoutTim just dismiss this because he can’t admit reality is quite special.
Tim Rideout is again pushing his plan as a pain-free solution to the SNP’s currency problem. So… watch how he deals with someone pointing out the obvious flaws. He has no answers. An independent Scotland would require its own currency, but that new currency would immediately…

Six months after announcing his food price cap, John Swinney didn’t even mention it at the SNP conference. No wonder retailers are asking: What the hell is going on?

‘A random numptie’ @scottishgreens Oh how your party has fallen. You’re in an intellectual wasteland. It’s pathetic how far you have dragged yourselves down.
This is not actually a random numptie. This is the co-leader of the Scottish Green Party. A specific numptie, that is to say.
