Very sad news - what a fantastic life so well lived - and we still have her amazing songs. What a woman! RIP Dolly theguardian.com/music/2026/a…
Like many women in the Labour Party, I was ecstatic to hear Claire Reynolds was in the running to be our next General Secretary.
Claire hasn’t just smashed glass ceilings, she’s put down the ladder for others, broken barriers and kicked open doors.

Claire has Labour in her bones. She has given so much of herself to our movement and its success.
Reducing a woman of her immense talent, and lifelong dedication to “Jonathan Reynolds’ wife” isn’t just reductive, it’s insulting.
Claire’s achievements are entirely her own.

No child should be raised in a hostel room. And no family should wait ten years for a front door of their own.
Today we’re announcing funding for the biggest council housebuilding comeback in decades.
Nearly £10 billion will go to councils and housing associations to build genuinely affordable homes, most of them for social rent.
This funding will directly help families trapped in temporary accommodation or stuck on housing waiting lists into safe, secure homes.

Reform supporters saying: “We should look after our own”
Then immediately support cutting £50bn from the welfare state, plunging disabled people, and families including children into poverty.
Pick one. You can’t do both. They don’t tally up.
So pleased that this has been endorsed by the NEC, hybrid meetings are essential for accessibility reasons but also benefit non disabled members, especially in rural constituencies like mine.
Absolutely fantastic news that the NEC has endorsed @DisabilityLab’s rule change. Aside from accessibility, hybrid meetings are a great tool for member democracy and engagement.
A win for disabled members and democracy campaigners alike 🌹
