Yeah we all remember that and I also remember not being stupid enough to think the government could fix it all for me. I remember having four roommates while I was a young Navy SEAL and saving money on my first deployment to Iraq to buy my first home. I remember when people didn’t believe that someone else should pay for some make-believe lifestyle we thought we deserved…because we believed we had to figure it out ourselves. I also remember when Republicans were honest enough to tell people the truth and fight for policy that would have long term benefits even if unpopular in the short term. If anyone thinks the lesson about “affordability” in this election is just becoming more populist and more liberal, then go join the Democrat party. They’ll be happy to have you, bribing voters with promises of free crap.
Or…do a better job making the economic case for what you know is right.
I’m still team Trump. Why? Because his policies are grounded in the long term, not the convenient short term. GOOD. Double down on the agenda.
Who cares if we lost the midterms? Nothing changes. We already had a deadlocked Congress anyway.
And how about you supposed “conservative commentators” tell the truth about issues like affordability? Republicans made sure the average family of 4 didn’t see a $10,000 increase in taxes last year. *Money that Democrats voted to take from you.* Republicans push for permitting reform and deregulation. Supply side policies that decrease inflation long term. Tariffs suck in the short term but in the long term will bring manufacturing here. Biden and his Democrats caused 9% inflation. The high prices you see now? Guess what, 76% of that higher price is from the Biden years. The rest is gas prices which admittedly is caused by the actions in Iran. GOOD. All I have to pay is 30% higher gas and I get to make sure Iran can’t point a nuke at me?? GOOD.
By the way, lots of other consumer goods are cheaper. Prescription drugs are 4.5% LOWER. The biggest cost increases are housing and healthcare. Why? Because Obamacare wrecked the healthcare market and blue states make it impossible to permit new home building. But who cares about the facts, right? Good job, Texas! Say goodbye to your low cost of living and pro-business reputation. And thank the braindead right wing populists that threw their votes away in protest (also thank Paxton for running the worst campaign ever….).
Republicans need to stop running away from good policy and principles just because it MIGHT win an election. Thats the Democrat way. Fuck that. Stick to principle. And LEARN HOW TO ACTUALLY EXPLAIN GOOD POLICY TO VOTERS. The moronic consultant class told the GOP to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on transgender ads instead of the economy.
Incredibly stupid.
Let’s learn some lessons, but for God’s sake learn the RIGHT lessons.
I remember making 40k with a wife and two babies and having nothing left at the end of the month after rent and groceries, and I think about it still every day. If you’re struggling to make ends meet and keep your family fed with a roof over their heads, that struggle is simply the most pressing and urgent matter in your life and nothing else really comes close. This is something that many Republican politicians and conservative “thought leaders” still do not understand and maybe never will.
This is fucked
WOW 🚨 It turns out the reason people in Los Angeles are seeing extremely high power bills is because there was a secret proposal that shifted higher energy costs to residents to save corporate customers money
It was quietly unanimously approved by Democrats
“In 2015, LADWP published an internal report outlining how they planned to restructure electricity rates in Los Angeles. On page 12, they admitted residential families were paying 32.9% of the power system's revenue, and they wrote on paper that residential rates needed to be forced up to 40%, while large commercial and industrial users were discounted from 37% down to 29%.
Now you're probably wondering, did they actually go through with that? — The answer is yes
Today, residential households consume only 34% of the actual electricity in this city. Commercial and industrial accounts burn over 60%. Yet the residential families are now forced to provide nearly 38% of LADWP's retail power revenue. In a utility that pulls in over $5 billion a year, that 5% shift means we're Working families are paying roughly $250 million more every single year, so large commercial accounts pay less.
That is why your summer bill feels completely unmanageable. They didn't just raise our rates; they engineered a permanent cost shift that uses Tier 3 surge pricing to squeeze families trying to keep their kids cool in 105-degree valley heat. This wasn't an accident; it was an intentional restructuring that has been running on autopilot for years”
I have confirmed this needed approval from Democrats and they unanimously voted for it
The final approval came from the Los Angeles City Council and was signed by Democratic Mayor Eric Garcetti
Everyone who voted YES were all Democrats:
- Bob Blumenfield (CD 3) Democrat
- Mike Bonin (CD 11) Democrat
- Joe Buscaino (CD 15) Democrat
- Marqueece Harris-Dawson (CD 8) Democrat
- Jose Huizar (CD 14) Democrat
- Paul Koretz (CD 5) Democrat
- Paul Krekorian (CD 2) Democrat
- Nury Martinez (CD 6) Democrat
- Mitch O’Farrell (CD 13) Democrat
- Curren D. Price (CD 9) Democrat
- David Ryu (CD 4) Democrat
- Herb Wesson (CD 10) Democrat
Mayor Eric Garcetti (Democrat) signed the ordinance after Council approval
Democrats sell out Americans every chance they get. These people are criminals
Every video style/format you edit with Claude needs its own skill: rules for branding, animation style, length, aspect... So every time a new skill drops on X, you end up having to manage which one gets it and how it's used.
The Video Editor Hivemind structure keeps every skill in one place. Each upgrade delegates the appropriate skills to each format. You can tinker with the formats without having to reload the same skills.

Icon. Next Generation was core to my love of SciFi. My dad and I used to watch it together. My model Y and my Grok Bot are both named #1. This cuts deep. RIP.
Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.
Lots of people are posting “Claude edited my video,” nobody is posting a skill family that compounds.
I created a system that incorporates every new skill you download from X and cascades the capabilities into each video format skill as needed. This is how you grow an arsenal of video editing formats one copy paste at a time.
I call it the Video Editor Hivemind. The first version was built by scouring X for the best and most shared Claude video editing capabilities and folding them into one skill. That skill holds everything that’s the same across all my videos: how the tools behave, how I deliver, how I check quality, what I like. One small skill per format (long form, shorts, ads) holds only what’s different about that format and loads the Hivemind first. So the next capability someone posts goes into the Hivemind once and every format is running it the next time it opens. A plain log on my drive catches every lesson the moment it happens and gets folded back in.
Proof, this LSN episode: Claude read the transcript against my script and kept the last clean take of every line, cut 29 minutes of raw to 17, placed every screenshot and clip on the exact word I say it, built the intro and outro, laid in music, dropped chapter markers, ran the audio pass, pushed it to Frame.io for my notes, then cut 10 vertical shorts from the finished episode as their own sequences.
My editor took it the last 10 percent. Because the edit is mostly done the day I shoot, I publish more, more videos bring in more revenue, and he’s getting more hours on the clock, not fewer. If it keeps going this way he gets promoted to producer and I hire a junior editor under him.
The Hivemind, a blank format template, and my real long form and shorts skills as worked examples are on GitHub:

This is dumb.
We don’t know everything about literally anything and plenty of things still work.
Dreams of AI ending aging and of AI killing everyone through a purely in-silico-designed pandemic both rely on this fallacy.
It's understated here how much we lack ground truth data about what's happening inside of cells, or sensors to get that data. A single cell contains billions of protein molecules, across at least thousands of types, and at least trillions of interactions per second.
Think we solved protein folding? We've made enormous progress predicting static protein structures. But these proteins constantly change their conformation and interact with one another, often in ways we can't observe or model accurately.
Our best sensors capture a miniscule fraction of the activity in a living cell, orders of magnitude short of what's happening.
We actually lack the ability to perceive what's going on that would be required to build such a bottoms up simulation.
Let alone to scale this up to an organism or a global population.
We know we have an expanding universe not because of breakthroughs in theory or computation - but because Edwin Hubble got new data by looking through the Hooker telescope. Possibly the greatest mind, Einstein, was wrong in his model of the universe because he lacked the right instrument to bring him the right data.
That's where we are in biology. Our sensors are still so crude. No amount of pure computation or AI can build a perfect model.
We need an instrument revolution in biology, not just a computational or intelligence revolution. AI can generate hypotheses, but without sufficient ground truth data, we can't know whether our simulations are modeling reality.
I don’t understand why people think it’s cool to brag about plagiarism.
Even if you’re creating original scripts you’re still ripping off the brand. Congrats on being a talentless hack??

Ask me for: one topic as a "what if" question (default: "What if the Sun vanished?"), the length (default 30 seconds), and whether I have an ElevenLabs key (if not, use a free local voice).
</inputs>
<direction>
A Kurzgesagt-style animated explainer at 1920x1080, 30fps, drawn entirely in code: one 2D canvas plus one WebGL canvas for planets.
Space: a vertical gradient #081d2c to #102348, five huge parallax nebula blobs (teal rgb 24,150,160 at 20%, blue 40,95,195 at 16%, coral 220,95,110 at 10%, indigo 60,70,175 at 15%), three star layers at parallax depths .12/.35/.6 that twinkle, 40% of the near stars drawn as 4-point sparkles.
The Sun: radius 300px, half off the left edge. A radial gradient #fff7dc to #ffc857 to #ff8f4a with an offset highlight, additive halo rings at 1.23/1.48/1.76/2.1x the radius, 18 faint rotating ray wedges, 28 drifting glowing granules on its surface.
Earth: an orthographic sphere in a fragment shader, 4x supersampled, from a 2048x1024 map painted from longitude/latitude polygons: land #5fc47a, forest #48ad6b, desert #f5c75f, rainforest #3a9d62, ice #f1f8ff, ocean gradient #4dc7eb to #1a66b8, white capsule clouds. Tilt .26 rad, spin .55 degrees per second. Day/night uses smoothstep(-.12, .24, N·L) with the light direction recomputed from Sun to Earth every frame. Navy night side with ~380 warm city lights, a coral band on the terminator, a cyan rim, ocean specular, an atmosphere halo that is stronger on the lit side.
A small astronaut mascot (~180px) built from rounded rectangles: suit #f3f7fb, orange #ff8f4a boots, a visor gradient #1f5a73 to #0a1c2c with glowing cyan eyes that look at whatever matters, a blinking antenna light, an idle bob, squash and stretch on every pose.
Type: Fredoka 600/700 only. Captions in caps with 3-6px letter spacing in teal #8fd8e6, gold #ffd98a or white, sitting in rounded pills of rgb(6,20,40) at 62%. Every line of text rises 1.3x its own height through a clip on an ease-out-quint.
Finish: a vignette to rgba(4,4,20,.45) and a 6% film grain re-randomized 24 times per second.
Banned: outlines, flares or loops on the Sun's edge, static infographic strips, full stops in on-screen text, text that fades in whole, AI images or AI video, Kurzgesagt's own characters, bird or music.
</direction>
<structure>
30 seconds, every line of narration gets a camera move or a transformation, nothing ever holds still.
Tight on the Sun at 2.25x (0s) → on the word "vanished" it swells 6% for 0.22s, collapses in 0.33s, then a white flash and a shockwave ring (1s) → pull back to 1x revealing Earth still lit and the astronaut staring at the empty spot (1.6-3s) → on "eight" an 8:20 countdown slams in from 1.7x to 1x and starts ticking, a "LAST LIGHT" label rides the edge of the growing dark disc (3.2s) → dive to 2.3x on Earth with light streaks flowing in (5.6s) → on "you" a YOU pin drops (7s) → on "left" a photon lands on the pin with "THIS LIGHT LEFT THE SUN / 8 MIN 20 SEC AGO" (7.5s) → on "play" the pin morphs into a play button, "YOU PRESSED PLAY / 15 SEC AGO" (8.8s) → one pull-back from 2.4x to a 0.3x orbit view, "LAST LIGHT" and "GRAVITY" riding the ring (9.6-12.5s) → on "nothing" a dotted circle at the empty centre (13.4s) → on "hits" the darkness sweeps Earth in 0.7s, city lights pop on, the countdown turns gold at 0:00 (15.8s) → on "black" the background fades almost to black (17.4s) → Jupiter appears, "STILL SHINING FOR 1 HOUR+" (17.9s) → zoom out, a dashed tangent line, "30 KM/S" as Earth flies straight off (20.8s) → a thermometer counts 15 to -70°C while frost grows from the poles (22.8s) → a 0.8s rewind on a separate story clock (24.3s) → sunglasses drop onto the astronaut (25.2s) → a photon tagged "8:20 OLD", then the title (27.7s).
For any other topic, keep the same shape: the event happens on its word, pull back to show scale, dive in to make it personal ("you"), pull back out, the consequence with a live counter, an escalation, a funny beat with the mascot, a callback and the title.
</structure>
<build>
1. One HTML file. Every frame is a pure function of time: window.seek(t) draws frame t. No timers, no CSS animation.
2. Camera moves on easeInOutCubic, zoom is interpolated in log space, every pop is a damped spring (damping .42-.5, frequency 12-16).
3. Voice: ElevenLabs eleven_v4 with a designed voice (calm, warm, curious male, late 30s, crisp, light neutral European English), stability .5, similarity .75, generated with timestamps. Without a key, use kokoro-onnx locally and get word times with faster-whisper. Every animation event fires on its word. About 165 words per minute, 0.24s between sentences, a 0.36s beat before the big reveal.
4. The darkness front: any pixel within the front's radius from the Sun turns to night with a 30px soft edge. The front moves at ~47px/s and ramps to 700px/s near Earth.
5. Keep two clocks: ambient time for twinkle, spin and bob, and a separate story clock for events, so a rewind stays consistent.
6. Render with Playwright in headless Edge with the GPU: seek every frame at 30fps and blend 2 subframes (shutter 0.6) for motion blur, then encode with libx264 at CRF 16 for the master and CRF 20 for delivery.
7. Sound: a calm royalty-free space music bed 7dB under the voice, timed so its natural ending lands on the title, swelling 5dB under the title. One downloaded royalty-free sound effect per event kind (collapse, impact, pull-back whoosh, countdown tick, dive, pin tap, photon land, play click, light hit, reveal, frost, rewind), each peak-aligned to its frame and 4-10dB under the voice. Master with gain plus a limiter to -14 LUFS, -2.2dB true peak.
</build>
<gotchas>
Make the WebGL globe canvas at least 2 x radius x zoom x 1.18 pixels or the sphere clips flat in close-ups. Never draw prominences on the Sun's edge, they read as white hooks. Never pad the voice to fit the visuals, tighten the read instead. Speed the darkness front up near Earth or it takes 13 seconds to cross the planet. Show me a contact sheet of every beat before rendering.
</gotchas>
<start>
Ask me the inputs, write the narration with the beat each word triggers, show it to me, then build and render the video.
</start>
I got a rough cut for a recent LSN video done in 2 hours that would have taken an editor 4 or 5.
I got about 80% to a finished video with a few more prompts.
Now my human editor can finish these episodes in about 2-3 hours instead of 13-15.
This is going to create so much more work for my editor because now I'll be able to post way more. Which will grow my business faster. More income means i can start more projects that need editors.
But more importantly now i can promote my editor to producer.
This is a paradigm shift for my business
Is this pronounced Space-exy?
SpaceXSI is putting serious effort into Grok Bot for businesses, and the potential economic impact is really enormous
SpaceXSI's internal Haggle Bot identified over $100,000 in savings in its first week by analyzing vendor contracts, unused software subscriptions and recurring purchases
Now SpaceXSI is developing a specialized Haggle Bot for businesses, with the goal of improving enterprise cost efficiency by 5% or more
At a global scale, Elon estimated this could translate into up to $6 trillion in annual savings when applied to global GDP
And SpaceXSI is making the Grok Bots its own teams use available through its marketplace, allowing other businesses to benefit from the same technology
This is where SI agents become incredibly valuable, going beyond answering questions to directly improving how businesses operate

We are about to get hit with another Eaton Fire wind event and look at the Palisades right now. They let all the brush grow back and it’s all dead and dried out ready to burn again. Oh and both our reservoirs are still offline and we have a broken water main.
WTF are we doing.
With the incoming Santa Ana wind event Thursday - Saturday, SCE is considering a PSPS for large sections of Santa Clarita Valley, Simi, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks and Malibu. The LFM levels in Ventura County are well below "critical" and historic levels. Be prepared and closely monitor @watchdutyapp and your local conditions. @Hotshot_Movie @spencerpratt
Yep
I truly believe this astroturfed attack on Shane Gillis is just another chapter in the ongoing war against provocative comedy. Every other form of art is as edgy and extreme as it's ever been, yet comedy is drowning in safe, watered-down, "children's entertainment for adults" pop comedy. People are attacking Shane Gillis, SiriusXM getting rid of Raw Dog Radio, the outrage over comedy roasts, the attacks from Elephant Graveyard, and the list goes on and on.
Stand-up comedy is one of the last art forms you don't need banker money to produce. And who are the most censored people on the internet? Comedians and conspiracy theorists! The two groups that have led the charge in challenging Hollywood and the mainstream media.
The energy inside a comedy club and the outrage on the internet couldn't be more different. People are laughing their asses off in the clubs while the dead internet attacks anyone who refuses to play ball.
This isn't just about comedy. It's about controlling the narrative, policing free expression, and dictating what we're allowed to think, say, and laugh at in today's chaotic world.
There is a war on your soul, and comedy is one of the last weapons we have to fight back!
Thank God! How has our state gov let this continue for so many decades???
🚨 BREAKING: Hundreds of federal agents -- FBI, DEA, ATF, U.S. Attorney's Office, and LAPD -- are SWARMING Skid Row right now in a massive drug bust
28 arrests expected. 44 search warrants. Large wads of cash, firearms, and fentanyI being seized on scene.
Drug dealers are also being accused of specifically targeting people on the days their government checks arrive (of course)
LONG overdue! Skid Row has been like a third world country for YEARS.
