GPT-6.1 Terra: delivering fast and capable computer use at a lower price.
GPT-6.1 Terra understands what’s on screen, takes action across apps, writes naturally, and is a more capable model for your whole workday with the efficiency to take on more of it.

Evolving threat 🚨 CVE-2026-111497, previously known to affect Node.js (node2shell) and Python has evolved into “HTTP2Shell.”
A significant blast radius.
This vulnerability leaves many libraries and applications using HTTP vulnerable to pre-auth RCE via Brotli decompression.
Please be aware. Fixes not yet available for all affected services. Look for Brotli (1.2.1) dependency upgrades when they become available.

New models dropping
Gemini Carbon - 400% cheaper than Astra
Fable 5.5 - will top all leaderboards
Terra - medium-sized model at $5 per 1M tokens
I expect all of them will be usable in production immediately, especially if Carbon is priced competitively

OPENAI 🔥: GPT-6.1 Sol now has 500k default context length for Codex and ChatGPT Work.
> Earlier, default context length was set to 272k.
> OpenAI also plans to increase this default value in the future even further.
Default bump 👀
Day 7/
We have increased default context length for GPT-6.1 Sol to 500k when used through Codex & Work, up from 272k or an ~ 80% increase.
We will go higher in the future, but it helps reduce occurrence of compactions and with tasks that require keeping a lot of context and nuance over periods of time. It was carefully tested and is the new sweet spot for most of our users. You can still override it if you want to be higher our lower, with maximum context length of GPT-6.1 Sol of 1M.

HERMES WON
Friendly reminder that Hermes was never built or intended to be exclusively for the "personal assistant" agent that can just read your emails and nothing else.
I fully intend and have plainly stated many times that I always built hermes to be the most powerful AI Agent.
"Normie" consumers can leverage that and we do what we can to make it an experience they can approach (the mobile app will be almost exclusively focused on consumer) - but they are not our only demographic.
I want the scientists, the cybersecurity engineers, the developers, the knowledge workers, the creatives, and everyone else to be able to have an agent that they can leverage that is maximally useful to them too.
Not just your mom. (She called btw you need to make your bed)

POV: Your "community support" hasnt posted since 2021, but wakes up in 2026 just in time to defend Mia's asymmetric attribution. 🤖
Something didn't sit right with so many of us, so I ran my agent through the git history pulling identical Ko-fi links across repos, byte-for-byte stolen files, and credits buried. Yet creators demanding transparency are called "jealous" while a blatantly obvious Russian bot swarm materializes on cue to protect a monetized growth book illusion, for what $100 from a top account..
Demanding strict credit from others while blocking anyone who asks for yours ISNT open source, its a plagiarism speedrun.
If you think "attribution is dead" just because the recipes work youre building on stolen foundation.
Cue the music. Time for the coffin dance. ⚰️🕺
My position on "MIA's illusion"
Honestly, I really liked how MIA's AI Lab pushed Local AI like crazy and built a strong community around an avatar. But too many things now overshadow the positives:
1 - Using open-source code with unclear or insufficient attribution to its creators.
2 - Taking reach away from everyone else working on AI, especially newer accounts with fewer followers who work hard to earn their audience's trust through real work and passion (see point 1).
3 - ☠️ Selling a book on how to grow on X. This was the worst move, and I really didn't like it. Using an avatar, building a community, growing your audience: all fine. But monetizing those tactics by selling them to the very community you built goes against the basic values a community should have.
4 - Now blocking anyone who criticizes the account or the way it operates. That's the opposite of an open community, where everyone has the right to say what they think, good or bad, for or against.
I hope you'll never see me do anything like this, and if I ever do, please tell me immediately. But I really doubt it, simply because:
- I love Local AI and AI in general.
- I left my startup to go all-in on this world: to play with, study, and live every aspect of this revolution, and to be an active part of its community.
- I love tinkering with hardware and software: Apple, Nvidia, AMD, you name it.
- I'm financially independent, so I'm free to write, say, buy, and play with whatever I want, and I don't need to sell anything to anyone.

ChatGPT profiles now have new sections for Top Plugins and a Showcase with Sites. Users can configure the list of sites to showcase and make them publicly visible.
Finally, something for non-Pro users 👀
Interesting to note that Perplexity was again leading the pack over here - we will see more and more "premium" experiences being the core focus for AI labs.
You built it, now show it off and share it.
With shareable profiles, you can bring your Sites and plugins together in one place so others can find them, and reuse them. Teammates can discover your shared skills, too—those stay within your workspace.
Available to Free, Go, Plus, Pro, and Business users. Rolling out to ChatGPT Enterprise, Edu, and Healthcare plans soon.

if Anthropic can nail computer use like OpenAI did with Codex then it will be over
imagine Opus 5.5 with the same computer use capabilities as GPT-6 Astra
this would be insane.

o yes… we’re back in action and we’ll reset usage limits for all paid users across codex and ChatGPT work
sorry about the brief disruption!
