I only played Oblivion and Skyrim. Both amazing games. But the reality is i was 16 and 21 when those games came out, respectively. I am now 36. I will be probably 40 when this drops. I cannot reasonably expect a video game to deliver the same whimsy at 40 that I experienced at 16
If TES6 isn't truly ethereal, then I don't want it.
I want TES to feel set apart from other fantasy games. How it was intended from the beginning. The games got dumber and dumber, and so did the setting as a whole.
Don't get me wrong, Oblivion and Skyrim are fantastic games that gave us a lot of material but;
TES was once about esoteric concepts and larger-than-life forces. I want wheels within wheels. Grand stories of the towers, of the cycle of wakefulness. Creation and uncreation, infinites within finites.
Bleeding hearts of dead and outcast gods. The struggles of mortality and divinity.
Perhaps not in pure gameplay- or most ceraintly definitely not, but rather the existence of. The feeling of deeper, darker, larger things.
Maybe in 6 we'll see the Thalmor be more than background boogeymen. Please, Bethesda, explore the metaphysicality that makes The Elder Scrolls actually different.
Oh and make the Dark Brotherhood not shit again, please. Hail sithis, or something.
Ahead?

Far more relevant and significant to my interests than GTA 6.
The next Elder Scrolls game is reportedly titled ‘THE ELDER SCROLLS VI: SENTINEL’.
An official announcement will happen soon.

“And we have...Turnstile, they’re called. Never heard of them. Terrible name really. Reminds me in New York you used to have to use the tokens. Anyway...they were screaming in front of our great Washington...o-bel-lesk. It’s a big... obelisk, really. Not many know that...”
have you ever seen anything more manufactured in your entire fucking life?
Sacha Baron Cohen on suspicion that the calls for a boycott of his new film, 'Ali G: Who Iz I?,' are tied to his past support of Israel:
"Well, I haven’t said anything about Israel. I think people are being portrayed as things that they are not on social media and it’s problematic. We are in a world where people can’t distinguish between facts and lies, and that’s something that I’ve spent a lot of the last few years trying to fix. For example, I co-founded a group called Stop Hate for Profit with the NAACP and Color of Change and the ADL and certain other civil rights groups to stop the misinformation and incitement of racism on social media. So, I’m not surprised that prominent Jews are being targeted. I knew that this was going to happen. The level of organization is surprising, but this is a trend of Jews being portrayed in certain ways and trying to be silenced." bit.ly/4BpPgkz

I see someone post something like their best/worst movie list and think, "why would anyone, anywhere, ever, care about your opinion on movies?" and then I apply it to my own life and post less.
Corn oooonnnnn the cooooob

‘REVENGE OF THE SITH’ (2005) is full of paintings.
Anakin on Mustafar, stuck on the low ground and staring up at Obi-Wan, has the same look as Alexandre Cabanel’s The Fallen Angel - Lucifer right after he’s thrown out of heaven, crying and furious at the same time.
The Plagueis scene at the opera is basically a Caravaggio: two faces lit out of the dark while Palpatine sells the dark side. (The blue-faced guy outside the box is George Lucas - his only Star Wars cameo.)
And the lava isn’t all CGI. Mount Etna erupted in 2002 while the film was being made, so Lucas sent a crew to shoot it. That real eruption is in the background of the duel.
Your anti death machine sentiments are making it hard to bring jobs to the town to build the giant death machine.
New invention, smokable GLP-1 that looks like a cig but is actually really good for you and helps you lose weight and doesn’t get you high or alter your state of mind or any of that asinine nonsense.
Hypothetically, if i brought a bowl of dry cereal to a coffee shop, in theory I could use their milk to fill the bowl. But they would either not let me or be annoyed and begrudging about it. It really is just a fucked up cruel world.
