Our President Prof Subodh Dave has responded to Channel 4's documentary ‘The Great ADHD Myth?'.
He said: "The way we speak about neurodevelopmental conditions really matters. It can fuel harmful stigma experienced by people living with the condition and risk discouraging people from seeking the support and treatment they need."
There needs to be better understanding of the rise in ADHD diagnoses and more focus on ensuring people can access high-quality care & support.

Water off a duck’s back.
My message to every single young person who worries about encountering this sort of thing in their lives and careers is simple: we are stronger, they are weaker, and the future is brighter.

This is absolutely repulsive.
We are here at the house where Henry Nowak was stabbed. Every single protester has observed silence, not protesting, but simply reflecting on how this country no longer feels safe.
People are contemplating the state of the country, the impact of mass migration, and how an 18 year old boy had his life abruptly cut short.
Deeply worrying situation
EXCLUSIVE
A former member of the Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) has accused the organisation of failing to take allegations of sexual harassment seriously and claimed they were never interviewed as part of an independent review.
The whistleblower, a former Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYP) who previously spoke to The Herald following their resignation last year, said the handling of their complaint reflected a wider 'pattern of behaviour', referencing Jordan Linden.
Linden, a former chair of the Scottish Youth Parliament, was found guilty last month of sexually assaulting young men and sending unwanted sexual communications to teenagers over a number of years.
The whistleblower has now called for all Scottish Government funding to the SYP to be paused until a public inquiry into the organisation has taken place 👇

Qualifications Scotland has become the new national body for qualifications and assessment.
The new body will ensure that children, young people and adult learners are at the heart of decisions made, including on qualifications and assessment reform.

ALT A picture of Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth speaking to school pupils with her quote: "For Scotland's education system, this is about building something we can all trust. Qualifications will be developed collaboratively with those who study and deliver them, ensuring they are relevant, rigorous and fairly recognise the achievements of all our children, young people and adult learners."
Delighted to share that I’ve been appointed to the inaugural Board of Qualifications Scotland, the body replacing the SQA.
Really looking forward to engaging with the wider sector as the organisation begins operations in February 💛

Great to welcome First Minister @JohnSwinney to @quarriers today to discuss the importance of supporting displaced care workers 🩵
Every time I speak to Scotland’s care sector, they tell me they need more people.
Westminster’s migration policies are very damaging to social care, but I’m proud that our displaced workers scheme helps care providers, like @quarriers who I visited today, retain skilled staff.

Ending child poverty is inseparable from education, and it’s great to see @JohnSwinney and @JennyGilruth consulting young people on both good practice and what more is to be done.
(Especially proud to see pupils from my former school, Kilmarnock Academy, flying the flag!)
As part of our national mission to eradicate child poverty, we’re supporting @CPAGScotland to help schools reduce day-to-day costs for pupils.
First Minister @JohnSwinney met children and young people at Bute House to discuss what’s working well, and what could be improved.
