The NFL draws a line with Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair: Remove the pro-Palestinian message from his eyeblack or get pulled from the game.
Al-Shaair came onto the field against Cincinnati with the name of Palestinian girl Wafaa Akila written beneath his eyes. An NFL official spotted it after the game began and told him it had to come off if he wanted to keep playing, a league source tells OutKick.
He removed the eyeblack and finished the game.
This comes after the NFL fined Al-Shaair $11,492 for another unauthorized message in Week 1. League rules prohibit players from displaying personal messages on game day without prior approval.
