I remember when Donald Tusk said there was a special place in hell over Brexit. Well, if he's broken the law, there's a special place in jail for him. The arrogant prick. I absolutely love the Polish people. Keep up the good work! 🇵🇱

Slavery was an evil in which people from every continent and region participated. We should be honest about the whole history, not select the parts that are politically convenient today, especially given Britain's leading role in ending the transatlantic slave trade. If Caribbean countries are asking Britain for a formal apology for Britain’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, will they also be asking the same of the descendants of African kingdoms, rulers and merchants who captured, sold and profited from the trade? On demands for reparations, whether through cash or debt relief, we have been down this track before. Twenty-five years ago, Jubilee 2000, Drop the Debt and Make Poverty History argued that cancelling the debts of poorer countries would give them a fresh start. More than $100 billion of debt was eventually written off, but many of those countries have since built up even bigger debts. Labour are already spending too much on Britain's welfare state, now is not the time for Andy Burnham to be providing global welfare. There is no reason British taxpayers today should be held financially responsible for things that happened generations before any of us were born. And I have even less patience for political elites in commonwealth countries who don’t know how to make their own citizens prosperous now looking for another opportunity to blame Britain. As Prime Minister, Andy Burnham should be Britain’s greatest defender. Instead, he is writing articles saying we need to confront our history (as if we haven't done enough of that) and considering another formal historical apology. Tony Blair already expressed Britain’s deep sorrow and regret for our role in the slave trade nearly twenty years ago. There is no need to do so again. This is all another navel-gazing distraction. The Commonwealth should be looking forward, not endlessly backwards. That means economic partnerships to make us all richer and deeper military and security cooperation against common threats. If every Commonwealth summit becomes an exercise in presenting Britain with demands for cash then we need to start asking if it is worth the effort.

What we witnessed yesterday in Warsaw was a blatant violation of Poland’s constitution. I never thought @donaldtusk would sink to such depths as to stage a coup d’état against his own people. I sincerely hope President @NawrockiKn succeeds in his efforts to uphold Poland’s constitutional order. Our hearts go out to the Polish people.

Elon Musk says a surprisingly small area of land covered in solar panels could generate enough electricity to power the entire United States. He believes Europe could also meet its energy needs using solar power from less populated areas of Spain and Sicily.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 Britain sent warships into a friendly country's harbours. 🔥 And burned its ships at anchor. ⚓ That country was Brazil 🇧🇷 More enslaved Africans were taken to Brazil than to any other country on earth. ⛓️ Not America 🇺🇸 Brazil 🇧🇷 Nearly half of everyone shipped across the Atlantic went there. Ten times more than the United States. 🌍 In 1826 Britain made Brazil sign a treaty. The trade would end by 1830. 📜 Brazil signed. Then ignored it. They even had a phrase for laws like that: "para inglês ver". For the English to see. 👀 Tens of thousands of people kept arriving every year. 😔 So Britain changed the law. Brazilian slave ships could now be tried in British courts as pirates. ⚖️ In 1850 the Royal Navy sailed into Brazil's ports, under the guns of the forts. They cut out the slave ships and burned them. 🚢 Emperor Pedro II's government had a choice. War with Britain. Or end the trade. ⚔️ That September, Brazil banned it. Within two years the trade was dead. 🕊️ Yet today only one country is asked to feel ashamed. 🤔 The one that stopped it. 🇬🇧 Be part of us. 🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

🚨 BREAKING: Poland’s President has made his first public appearance amid the growing political chaos engulfing the Polish citizens . “What is happening right now at Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal is nothing less than a COUP D’ÉTAT! We will never allow a tyrant to take control of our motherland. For a long time, the government has been pushing Poland towards a dangerous confrontation with Russia, and I strongly reject that direction. After failing to convince the Polish people with its agenda, it is now resorting to desperate measures, attempting to seize control of yet another public institution through illegal means. This is an outright assault on Poland’s constitutional order, sovereignty and democratic institutions. The ultimate objective is to impose EU law over Polish law, force through the EU Migration Pact and open Poland’s borders to tens of thousands, potentially hundreds of thousands, of illegal migrants. They want to destroy Poland’s position as one of Europe’s safest, most stable and prosperous nations, exposing our people to the economic hardship, social instability and chaos already experienced elsewhere in Europe. Poland must never become a country governed by foreign interests. Our sovereignty is not negotiable. We will defend our independence, our security and our future. Poland belongs to the Polish people, and we will never surrender our motherland! 🇵🇱 Tusk want to dribble Mr President like STEPH CURRY DROPS LUKA DONCIC😱☠️
😱JUST IN: Polish President Karol Nawrocki has entered the country’s Constitutional Tribunal and openly challenged the judges appointed by Donald Tusk’s camp, declaring: “You are not judges of the Constitutional Tribunal!” In a dramatic confrontation, Nawrocki stood his ground, rejecting what he considers an illegitimate attempt to take control of Poland’s highest constitutional court. His opponents have accused him of undermining the court’s independence, while his supporters see his actions as a powerful stand against political interference. 🔥 This is the elected President of Poland refusing to back down in the middle of a major constitutional standoff. Donald Tusk’s government is facing fierce resistance, and Nawrocki is making it clear that he will not quietly accept what he sees as an attempt to seize control of the country’s judiciary. STAND STRONG, MR. PRESIDENT!

The Arab-Islamic Slave Trade enslaved more people than the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Slavery was only banned in Oman in 1970, Qatar in 1952 and Turkey in 1923. If anyone owes reparations it isn’t us.
A welcome step from the PM. The Transatlantic Slave Trade was one of history’s most heinous crimes. We must be honest about how the horrors of our past have shaped the present - because only then can we begin to build a fairer future for everyone.

You can cancel an election and ban the winner from running (Romania), you can ban your opponents from ever running again (Hungary), you can threaten to ban the main opposition party and subject it to relentless investigations by the secret police (Germany), you can threaten a ban on the leading presidential candidate and make them wear an ankle monitor (France), every member of your circle can be investigated for corruption (Spain), you can try and cancel local elections because you will lose them (Britain), and you can storm the constitutional court with riot police because you want to control it (Poland). You can just do all these things. The secret is you just have to be on the right side of the European Commission.

So, basically, 500 million Europeans expect 300 million Americans to protect them from 120 million Russians who can’t even defeat 40 million Ukrainians while those 500 million Europeans don’t even realize they are being conquered by 2 billion Muslims who claim they are being persecuted by 8 million Israelis. Is that about right? 1

Andy Burnham is "open" to a slavery apology. Britain abolished the slave trade in 1807 and slavery in 1833, and spent a fortune with the Royal Navy stamping it out worldwide. Nobody alive today owned a slave or was one under British rule. So who exactly is apologising, and to whom? Or is this just another play for votes?

Just one CRUCIAL point to add: There is NO ‘Islamism’ This is a western construct / creation designed to sugarcoat the political aspirations of Islam as somehow being seperate to, or a ‘perversion’ of the religion of Islam. It isn’t, it’s merely true, devout, FUNDAMENTALIST Islam. “When anyone studies a little or pays a little attention to the rules of Islamic government, Islamic politics, Islamic society and Islamic economy, he will realise that Islam is a very political religion. Anyone who will say that religion is separate from politics is a fool. He does not know Islam or politics.” "We shall export our revolution to the whole world. Until the cry 'There is no god but Allah' resounds over the whole world, there will be struggle (jihad).” Both quotes are attributed to the former Supreme Leader of Iran, Ruhollah Khomeini. The Islamic texts themselves put to bed this false degree of separation.
