You are absolutely right. One day there must be an independent investigation into the role of Western media in what has happened in Gaza. Too many major news organizations repeated official Israeli narratives without sufficient scrutiny while Palestinian suffering was questioned or minimized. Journalism is supposed to challenge power rather than protect it. When the deaths of innocent civilians become statistics and their suffering is treated differently depending on their nationality or identity the media loses its moral credibility. Those responsible for misleading coverage and deliberate misinformation must be held accountable. The world deserves the truth and the people of Gaza deserve justice.

Some media intentionally or not, directly and indirectly, participated in the coverage of the fact that a genocidal war is taking place in the Gaza Strip in which Israel did not respect the rules of international law and the International humanitarian ire. These media provided an opportunity for the occupation to justify its crimes or hide the truth of what it is doing in Gaza, and some of them contributed to the continuation of the occupation army in its violation of international law. This constitutes a violation of the role of the media in being professional in their performance and also constitutes a violation of the fact that media workers have a sense of humanity that imposes on everyone to defend themselves against injustice, unjustified murder of civilians, bloodshed, murder of children and women, destruction of hospitals, schools, universities, mosques and churches and burning the tents of the displaced while the displaced are present.
