Promises made. Promises kept.
The Working Families Tax Cuts are delivering on commitments to the American people and putting hardworking families at the center of our economic future. This is what it looks like when promises turn into action.

I recently met with Continental Hydro to discuss their proposed National Water-Rail Grid and its potential to address water scarcity through innovative infrastructure solutions.
As water remains one of Colorado’s most critical priorities, I appreciated the opportunity to hear their proposal, discuss the challenges facing our state and the West, and learn more about potential approaches to long-term water sustainability.

Private companies are profiting from surveilling Americans. This is why I co-sponsored the “No FLOCK Act” to protect Americans’ Fourth Amendment rights.
Don’t spy on me!
This is what the beginning of the surveillance state looks like in America
Americans in Connecticut received a bill for additional taxes on their car because cameras spotted it in a different city
A private company called Municipal Tax Service (MTS) is hired by cities to drive around and use automatic license plate readers on cars parked in different cities
It then makes connections if that car lives in that area and sends the owner a bill for new taxes on that vehicle for being in the city
The owner of this vehicle says she doesn’t live in that city, provided proof and says her car was only in a different city because her kid drives there for school
MTS didn’t care and said that the proof didn’t matter and they had to pay it. They appealed to the city, the city said they had to deal with MTS
But here’s the problem, MTS gets paid 38% commission on tax revenue they recover + $50 per vehicle billed to the owner. They made $9 million in commission in just one year from sending people additional tax bills
So this company has no incentive to ever help you and just deny you, which they did
Only after the mainstream media got involved would the city drop this one new tax bill which was false to begin with
In America we now literally have private companies driving around scamming our license plates to tax us more money
This is insanity and it needs to end

It has been the honor of my life to serve North Carolina’s 8th District, and I am proud of what we have accomplished.
From never missing a single vote to passing six bills through the House and cosponsoring more than 200 conservative bills, I have fought hard to ensure my constituents’ voices are heard in Washington.

My PRIVACY Act confronts the surveillance state at the federal level by:
🔒Requiring a warrant before extracting data from automated license plate reader systems.
⏱️Limiting how long collected data may be retained.
❌Prohibiting federal funds from being used to purchase these systems.
This is a commonsense bill that needs to be brought to the House floor and passed!

Last week in Millington, I joined local officials to mark $12.4 million I secured in federal funding for the town's wastewater treatment project, including $6.2 million in the FY26 Agriculture appropriations bill and another $6.2 million in the FY27 bill.
Proud to have delivered these resources to improve critical infrastructure, support public health, and help the community grow for years to come.

This is good news for now, but Congress still needs to permanently end the Diversity Visa Lottery.
