We’re making critical progress on issues that matter to rural Arizonans.
A lot of folks have reached out regarding the Pentagon’s FORTRESS America initiative.
Here is my assessment of the situation based on conversations I’ve had with leadership in DC:
The H-1B program has morphed into a betrayal of hardworking citizens.
In response, I introduced the End H-1B Visa Abuse Act of 2026 to halt and overhaul this broken system.

Big milestone for the Tri-City region! 🎉🚧
Tri-City Regional Sanitary District (TRSD) celebrated Phase 1 of its new wastewater system — powered by a $23 million loan and $24 million grant from USDA Rural Development. This project will replace failing systems, protect local water, and bring modern infrastructure to more than 5,500 residents of Globe, Miami and Claypool.
Thanks to an additional USDA Rural Development grant, homeowners will connect at no cost, giving residents an important upgrade, allowing them to improve and ensure sanitary conditions for their homes.

🌊🤝 Big milestone for Tribal water protection! EPA has approved the Navajo Nation’s application for treatment in a similar manner as a state (TAS) under the Clean Water Act, marking an important step forward for tribal sovereignty and water protection.
This makes the Navajo Nation the first Tribe in the U.S. eligible to issue and oversee permits for pollutant discharges into tribal waters and manage sewage sludge programs on its lands.💧🌎
EPA is proud to support tribal self-governance and work alongside the Navajo Nation on next steps. 🙌

Protecting America’s borders means protecting America’s ranches.
Got a firsthand look at border security from the saddle alongside the dedicated men and women of @CBP Horse Patrol in Nogales, Arizona.
What happens at our border doesn’t stay at our border. Strong borders help protect our ranchers, livestock, food supply, and agricultural economy.
From patrolling rugged terrain and national forest lands to safeguarding American agriculture, the work of CBP, @forestservice, and @USDA_APHIS is critical to protecting our land, natural resources, and communities.
Grateful to those who ride the line, serve our country, and work every day to keep America safe.
This afternoon, I visited the Pleasant Valley Veterans Retreat in Young.
Thanks to the dedication of Supervisor Woody Cline and many others, my legislation to give Gila County ownership of the property is now law.

Today, I was able to tour the Community Health Center of Yavapai in Ash Fork with Leslie Horton and Supervisor Chris Kuknyo.
We were able to help get a critical approval from CMS last week that will allow them to expand their services in #AZ02.

Breaking: First Assistant US DOJ Attorneys for Washington state, Neil Floyd and Pete Serrano, announce that investigators have found over 400 cases of noncitizens voting in state and federal elections.
The DOJ prosecutors claim that WA state is refusing to cooperate and hand over voter rolls. They believe the number of noncitizens voting is much higher — in the thousands.
