Never forget.
25 years ago today, our nation faced an unimaginable tragedy. The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, represent the worst in our nation’s history, claiming 2,977 innocent lives, including more than 400 first responders.   “In the years that have followed, our nation has worked with great resolve to strengthen our national security posture and ensure an attack of this magnitude never happens again on U.S. soil––a mission that is as urgent today as it was two decades ago. Educating future generations on the significance of this day, supporting all those impacted by the attacks, and remaining steadfast in our commitment to protecting the American people is more important than ever. ” - Chairman @RepGarbarino Read his full statement: homeland.house.gov/2026/09/1…

Long Island is home to some of the bravest first responders in the country, and I am grateful for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe. Today, we also remember the countless Long Island first responders who answered the call on September 11th, many of whom continue to live with the lasting impacts of their service. On National First Responders Day, thank you to our police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and all those who serve. I will always have your backs.

DHS just blocked three Chinese companies linked to forced labor from selling their goods in the U.S. In 2022, I joined then-Senator Marco Rubio in introducing the Uyghur Human Rights Sanctions Review Act, which called for accountability for BGI, one of the companies DHS just blocked. The bill also targeted other CCP-directed tech firms that provide the tools used to surveil, track, and persecute Uyghurs and harvest genomic data. Thank you to @SecMullinDHS and @DHSgov for taking action. dhs.gov/news/2026/10/28/unde…

The contrast is clear ⬇️ Republicans: delivered the MOST SECURE BORDER in HISTORY. Extreme Radical Democrats: want to reopen border and allow criminal illegal aliens back into our country, costing American families their safety and $527 billion in taxpayer dollars over the next 10 years.

During a recent visit to the Southwest Border, Congressman Rutherford and I joined CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott on a tour of the San Ysidro Port of Entry, where we saw how technology is being used to prevent the smuggling of illicit drugs, weapons, and people from entering the United States from Mexico.

Republicans turned the worst border crisis in American history into the most secure border ever. We won’t go back. The latest from Chairwoman @RepLisaMcClain: commonsensebrief.substack.co…

The Biden-Harris administration allowed MILLIONS of illegal aliens to cross our border without proper vetting, putting countless American lives in danger. On Day 1, President Trump took action to secure the border. Now, we’ve gone 17 straight months with ZERO illegal alien releases. It couldn't be more clear which party puts America FIRST.

After years of historic chaos, Congressional Republicans helped @POTUS secure our borders by funding: ✅USBP agents ✅Cutting-edge tech ✅New border wall Congressional Democrats: 🔴Opposed the One Big Beautiful Bill 🔴Shut down @DHSgov 🔴Are fighting to dismantle the Department altogether @HouseGOP remains committed to protecting Americans and supporting the men & women of federal law enforcement who secure the homeland.
The contrast couldn’t be clearer. Democrats sow chaos, Republicans deliver safety and security.

I was proud to secure $1.2 million to modernize Lawrence County’s 911 radio system. As a former firefighter, I know firsthand how important reliable communication is during an emergency. These upgrades will help our first responders do their jobs safely and better protect our communities. moultonadvertiser.com/news/a…

Praying for @RepKeithSelf! Thank you to the @FBI and @CapitolPolice for stopping this and many similar threats to those in public office. As John Adams once said, “There must be a Decency, and Respect, and Veneration introduced for Persons Authority, of every Rank, or We are undone.”
I am grateful to the FBI and law enforcement for stopping this threat. My family and I are safe, and I remain focused on serving the people of Texas’ 3rd District. Preserving our constitutional republic from radical Islam means accepting the costs that come with it—name-calling, threats, and worse. Our Founders believed this country was worth the sacrifice. I served 25 years in the military because defending freedom was worth the sacrifice. This only strengthens my resolve. I will not back down. wfaa.com/article/news/crime/…

“Behind every statistic is a human life.” - @SecMullinDHS From @HSI_HQ investigating digital exploitation and the @SecretService disrupting cyber-enabled financial crimes to @CISAgov defending our critical infrastructure from cybercriminals, the men and women of @DHSgov are working to protect victims, hold bad actors accountable, and keep Americans and the homeland safe from cybercrime. @HouseGOP continues to support and fund this important mission.

These are critical efforts. As Arizona's only Member of @HomelandGOP, I will always advocate for policies that keep you safe and the border secure.
NEW RESTRICTIONS: Cartels using drones along the southern border now face another hurdle: New federal airspace restrictions aimed at protecting U.S. personnel and cracking down on illicit activity. The @USDOT @DoWCTO and @DHSgov jointly announced the restrictions, which prohibit unauthorized drone flights from the ground up to 400 feet within one nautical mile north of the U.S.-Mexico border. The scale of the problem: @CBP says it detected at least 42,000 drones along the southern border in fiscal year 2025—and fiscal year 2026 (which just ended) surpassed that total. Federal officials say the restrictions will help counter cartel drone threats, protect personnel and facilities, and reduce interference with border security operations. @SecWar says troops equipped with directed-energy weapons will shoot down cartel drones that threaten the United States. The FAA lists the restriction period as Oct. 19, 2026, through Oct. 19, 2027. Border Security Adviser and former @BPUnion VP @ArtDelCuetoAZ says the cartels aren’t going to stop, but this directive takes out the guesswork for the men and women securing the border. The DoW currently operates the high energy laser that was deployed in August to take out cartel-linked drones—But Del Cueto says he hopes that this opens the door for Border Patrol agents to use the laser as well vs jammers. Drone operators seeking authorization must submit their flight, operator and aircraft information to CBP at [email protected] at least 48 hours ahead. First responders handling time-sensitive emergencies can call 951-570-4185 for expedited coordination. Our @NewsNation story alongside colleague @JeffArnold_NN: newsnationnow.com/us-news/im…

This week, I toured the Cyber Crime Division of the Attorney General’s Office and saw firsthand the incredible job they are doing. This unit combines the skills, resources, and knowledge of our state, federal, and local law enforcement agencies to prevent fraud and to hold bad actors accountable. Thank you, Attorney General Fitch, for the work you and your agency do to protect Mississippians and to prosecute those who break our laws.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. As Chairman of @HomelandGOP and former Chairman of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittee, I’ve worked to strengthen our nation’s cyber defenses and ensure we are prepared to combat emerging threats. Cyber threats are constantly evolving, and we must stay one step ahead.

For the 16th month in a row, @POTUS has delivered, allowing ZERO illegal aliens to be paroled into our communities. Thank you to every @dhsgov employee and @cbpgov officer working hard to keep our communities safe!
The Trump administration and @HouseGOP have remained committed to combating drug smuggling and human trafficking, enhancing law enforcement’s ability to protect public safety, and continuing @DHSgov’s historic success at our borders. Deterrence works, and the results speak for themselves:

This is the right decision by @DHSgov to protect our federal civilian networks from the national security risks posed by these PRC-built AI models, especially as China works by any means necessary to take a decisive lead in the global AI race. Make no mistake––DeepSeek advanced its models' capabilities through unauthorized, industrial-scale distillation from leading U.S. systems. The models pose clear data security risks and even censor information unfavorable to the Chinese Communist Party. It is common sense for our government agencies to use safer alternatives.

The Coast Guard has ordered an immediate review of Chinese state-owned COSCO vessels’ eligibility for a program that reduces port inspections, @Politico reports. This action comes after Chairman @RepMoolenaar, @RepRickCrawford, and @RepCarlos sent a letter to @DHSGov raising these concerns. Granting a Chinese military company fewer inspections at American ports should not be allowed. Thank you @DHSGov for taking action.

Malicious cyber actors are getting more sophisticated, using Artificial Intelligence to make their emails, texts, and videos appear more convincing than ever. This morning, @CISAgov and @FBI released a joint PSA warning of a surge in phishing and smishing schemes during the upcoming U.S. midterm elections and provided tips and resources to stay secure. COSCO, a Chinese-military company and one of the world’s largest shippers, is using its vessels to conduct espionage operations near U.S. coastlines. Select Committee Chairman @RepMoolenaar, @RepRickCrawford, and @RepCarlos sent a letter to @DHSGov Secretary Markwayne Mullin urging him to review and revoke COSCO Shipping’s privileges of receiving fewer inspections at American ports.
