Ari Fleischer just nuked JD Vance’s presidential campaign before it started.
I think that’s likely a win for America.
Mr. Vice-President,
Please allow me to present a different perspective.
The problem was not the Iran War. It was the cease fire.
If you start a war, you need to win it and finish it – otherwise don’t start it.
This war should have been over six months ago, with the Strait of Hormuz wide open and oil flowing. The second and third tiers of Iranian leadership should have been destroyed, and we should have supported the pro-western forces who could have taken leadership. We stood on the brink of a new, more peaceful Middle East - and then we blinked. We had a chance not only to deny Iran nuclear weapons, but to get rid of the world’s biggest supporter of terrorism.
Instead, we had a cease fire, which was followed by months of will we or won’t we finish the job. Every day was a different message. There still is. Is the war over? Is it about to begin? No one knows. There is confusion and inconsistency.
In June 2025, America was not involved. This was an Israel vs Iran issue.
No one forced the United States to attack Iran then, or in February of 2026. It was a decision made by President Trump. In my opinion, it was the right decision.
Once the decision was made, we should not have stopped until the regime fell. But instead, you negotiated a cease fire that didn’t last, didn’t work and left us in no man’s land, with higher prices and our troops still deployed.
Our troops could have been home, the Navy returned to its bases, a peaceful regime in place , new alliances forged, and gas prices below $3.00 a gallon.
No, Mr. Vice President. It’s not the war. It’s the so-called cease fire.

There are plenty of people smarter than me who have diagnosed the catastrophic election—from a strategic political perspective.
But there’s a deeper issue we must recognize, or all the strategy and intelligence in the world is going to keep failing us.

This is so brutal. It’s also very real.
You—the individual reading this—have a choice to make. Nobody else can make it for you.
You can choose ‘Uncomfortable Courage’ to do the ‘only one right thing’ at each crucible moment you face in life—or you can find any one of a thousand reasons not to.
Start with the most important and foundational choice: surrender your life to Jesus Christ, and be born anew.
Those choices all add up. So do the choices of others whom you can effectively influence toward the good, if you choose good in how you do so.
Math is the language of the universe.
@PatriotPlea
I'm going to be totally frank in the moment about where I think we are right now. This isn't a black pill, it's just an honest assessment of how hard everything is about to become. It's me telling you the house is on fire, so you have a chance to save what's most important to you.
You see, the thing about "decline is a choice" is there comes a point, after you've imported or tolerated or indulged so many people who hate you, and so many people who just want to rob or take advantage of you, that the choice is no longer yours. It's theirs. That's what a democracy with indiscriminate suffrage is and ours is entrenched.
Everything is going to start to change, starting right now, as you read these words. This was not an election that Republicans merely lost. This was the implosion of the Republican party and the total discrediting of the MAGA movement as an electoral force. I'm not going to cast blame or point fingers, because it doesn't matter. There's no point in an election post-mortem because you are never again going to get the chance to vote your way out of this anyway. That window closed tonight.
The GOP's current brand is dead. When they rebrand, which they will, because it's a party run by cockroaches, it's going to be surrender packaged in platitudes. From today forward, if you're a normative white person under 60, a right winger, an America First type, you will no longer have viable or serious electoral political representation. They won't let you have it. Neither party. There will be the left moving the center to them and there will be some cuckhold pumping a fake set of brakes from his chair in the corner as he greedily feasts on his last meal.
The takeover of the GOP has failed. We didn't have the critical mass and all rushing the cockpit got us was a smoldering crater in a field and promises of more pain to come. The people who cheered Charlie Kirk getting shot in the neck are in the driver's seat now. They're never going to forgive you for disrupting their great arc of history. They are going to kill, imprison, ruin, and crush you. Then, they're coming for your kids. This is non-negotiable for them. They are going to salt the earth and make sure nothing like MAGA can ever grow here again. I promise you this.
Nothing resembling the America that was is coming back. Everything after after the 120th Congress is seated will be something new and unprecedented. The American nation's continuity with our ancestors will be severed, just like they wanted.
Be ready. Collect friends. Make plans. Execute on them. Nobody is coming to save you.

There are a lot of troubling, valid facts and assessments here.
They are worth discussing.
The income tax and welfare state is socialism, and it’s destroying our national soul as intended. The immigration fiasco has compounded this exponentially.
I ran for Congress on a platform to Reclaim the Republic by:
1. SAVE Act for the obvious reasons
2. 20/20 Sovereignty Act - immigration moratorium and vastly accelerated deportations
3. Paycheck Freedom Act - abolish IRS/Income Tax (and move toward dismantling entitlements)
4. Defund D.C. District Court (do this first)
The Uniparty swamp will never do this, because it would destroy their fiefdom. Only if we elect true patriots to Congress is this possible—and it is possible. It’s just very, very hard. And very, very expensive.
But none of this is possible or sustainable without fixing the root problem: spiritual blindness and enslavement. We have divorced ourselves from God, decimated the nuclear family which is the building block of civilization, and destroyed the fabric of our cultural cohesion.
America only came into being after The Great Awakening. We need another, or America will crumble and cease to be a free republic. That is the truth and it’s inescapable, no matter how much you dislike it. @PatriotPlea @ericmetaxas
I realized the 2026 midterms would be awful for Republicans in the first half of 2025. The H1B fiasco, Elon Musk's public meltdown against Trump, Tucker Carlson's open treachery against Trump 2.0 and JD Vance's full-throated endorsement of this, etc.
However, I later tempered my disastrous expectations by how dumb and self-destructive Democrats were, especially compared to even 10-20 years ago. At the last second though, JD Vance and Friends (Carlson, Joe Rogan, Theo Von, Nick Fuentes, etc.) made a HUGE, desperate push for their Democrat masters and it paid off. Vance was only too giddy to post about the loss while backstabbing his boss and blaming the Jеws. Of course, since he's JD Vance, a comically inept DEI fool, he did this very poorly, attaining an awful ratio.
Still, outside of the specifics of this particular midterm, there are four large, general issues.
1. Demographics. They're not on the side of actual Americans, despite the deportations. And they make the actual candidates and issues irrelevant. These people will vote overwhelmingly Democrat. That they did so by a smaller margin than usual in 2024 due to how awful Kamala Harris was doesn't change this reality.
2. The treachery of the Podcastians. Joe Rogan (flip-flopping from Kamala a few months before the election), Theo Von, Tucker Carlson, and Matt Walsh (Fuentest, at least, openly supported Kamala) were a big part of Trump winning in 2024, but they happily betrayed him for views and engagement. This was the ONLY major media channel that Republicans dominated in, and now it's gone. Will they find one to replace it? I'm skeptical.
3. Zoomers are, as noted, the dumbest, most seething, subhuman generation ever. Mere husks. They voted overwhelmingly for the most dysgenic freakshow Democrats, and that's not going to change as much as one thinks when they get older.
So what are Republicans relying on? A shrinking whitе population of Gen X and Boomers?
4. What, exactly, do Republicans even stand for? What is their vision of the future? We know what Democrats stand for. It's evil and rеtаrded, but it's concrete, tangible. I can't begin to answer what Republicans believe.
In the case of JD Vance, he is Obama 2.0 with more DEI carve-outs for his own group, and even worse economic policy. A version of the Democrat vision. What else do Republicans stand for? A Democrat vision from 10 years ago, the classic Yarvin "Republicans are Democrats driving the speed limit"?
Solving these 4 fundamental, structural problems ranges from extraordinarily difficult to outright impossible.

You had the chance to begin the process of saving our election system from the radical left. By passing the SAVE America Act. But K Street either didn’t care or opposed it. So why bother, right?
Because the GOP Senate only does what can be monetized via those endless lobbyist dinners / fundraisers. If it can’t raise you money? Probably not worth doing.
And you BERATED @BasedMikeLee for trying to get you to work full weeks, to try to pass the SAVE America Act. Or to work a weekend sometime. Or not to recess for weeks in March and then again recess for a month in August. You and your fellow GOP Senators told him that nobody cared about the SAVE America Act. That he needed to sit down and shut up.
And the American people watched you, day after lazy, do-nothing day. And how you literally could not come up with a single idea to manage the Senate rules to get the bill passed. You just could not figure it out. Because you really didn’t and don’t care. And because you just are clueless.
What’s all the fuss, you say. It’s not a big deal to you that our election system has been taken over and manipulated by the left. But not to you @LeaderJohnThune
So now, you don’t have to worry about it. You don’t have to be in charge of producing meaningful results for the American people. They just sent you to your room without any supper. It doesn’t taste good—but it saves lives.
Make a choice. Ignoring it is a bad one.
I’m going to be honest with you because no one else around you will be. You single-handedly cost the entire state a voting bloc with your racist rhetoric.
You felt it necessary to attack American Indians at a time when Jihadists are talking over your entire state. Instead of working with them to help you, you chose to attack them.
There are ways to talk about immigration and H-1 B visas honestly and openly without being a racist. You didn’t do that.
So, because you attacked an entire community, a large voting bloc, went from Republican to Democrat.
You never apologized. You didn’t do any self-reflection. You doubled down.
People saw that.
I won’t blame you for every single candidate who lost last night; some of them had no business running again. But you need to realize your words affect far more than you think.
You know who didn’t lose yesterday? Brandon Gill. Maybe because he isn’t racist against Indians.

Two things.
#1, you claim turnout wasn’t the problem—not only are you wrong in the moment, but you’re exposing the main problem in the macro: the entire premise of America is self-government, and that can’t function if people don’t govern themselves.
This applies specifically to politics and civil government: half of Christians don’t vote (which is sin—Gen 1:28, James 4:17). Half of all eligible American voters don’t vote. That’s just absurd.
If only half the team shows up, are you going to win any games, much less the Super Bowl?
But this also applies to personal government: self-discipline. Logic, critical thinking, morality, sacrifice, service…love, as Christ demonstrates and demands. This has also been decimated.
If half your team DOES show up—overweight, unprepared, disorganized—are you going to win any games, much less…you get the point.
#2, and equally important: you say we lost because the electorate demands this:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
And your implicit argument is we either satisfy that demand, or we lose.
That’s a loss, either way—because those “demands of the electorate” aren’t based in reality, they’re based in emotional hysteria driven by liars and charlatans (get familiar with that word—you see them 24/7 on TikTok and Instagram).
War is the perpetual state of humanity, as @JeremyDBoreing so eloquently explained recently. The conflict with Iran has been simmering for half a century—Trump is the first leader brave enough to take tough medicine. Tough medicine saves lives—refusing it because it’s tough kills lives. That’s just reality.
Yes, life is too expensive—because the government steals nearly half of your money, and government wastes nearly all of it. No political party or significant politician is even trying to propose a real reversal of this (I tried: JohnStrand.com)
The anti-Israel propaganda project is at the root of all of this—and its root is a rebellion against God and His divine order, upon which our Constitution and Western Civilization are built. If we don’t expose those lies and take tough medicine for that cancer, it’s going to kill us. Guaranteed. That’s what cancer does.
That’s reality. Reality is a tough game, so many don’t want to play it—and it plays them instead. Reality always wins. @PatriotPlea
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

This is true.
(The Founders advocated for tariffs to largely fund the treasury—I agree, but nuance and context are required for the present circumstance. Nevertheless…)
To summarize: too many Americans don’t vote, and too many voters don’t understand—or accept—human nature.
A dynamic, if you will:
Trump's tariffs get directly in the way of creating the price relief desperately needed after Biden's inflationary regime and Covid.
They are unpopular, but no one will really contradict him, and we hear things about long-term utility that no one understands or cares about.
Much of this deflection comes from the New Right economic gurus from American Compass, who are part of the odd Vanceguard.
Iran gets dangerously close (again) to nuclear weapons (upwards of 11 of them, maybe) and has demonstrated long-range ballistic missile technology. It has to be dealt with.
Israel steps in to stop Iran, and Trump, fulfilling a contradictory campaign promise that Iran would never have a nuclear weapon, joins the effort (twice, actually).
Iran gets wounded but responds by holding the Strait of Hormuz and therefore global oil flows hostage.
The entire right-wing commentary class ("Trashcaster Inc."), which aligns with the Vanceguard, proceeds relentlessly and ruthlessly (and truthlessly) to blame Trump and "Israel's war" for raising prices, which have more to do with the tariffs and Bidenflation, and never once try to get people to understand the real situation or its contingencies.
A difficult policy choice gets turned into a noose by conflating it with a bad economic policy, both of which are advanced by the same radical new wing of the Republican Party, which simultaneously makes absolutely no secret of their ambition to destroy the GOP we have and replace it with themselves.
Election Night 2026 goes badly.

We're in a new era of communication, and only one side seems to be living in it. The old guard consultant class is about to be relegated to the dustbin of history.
If you think that high prices lost the election for the right, you don't understand marketing. Humans have no problem paying a premium for a good quality brand. Notice the word "brand", not "product". Are Nikes better than New Balance? Nope. But the brand is better. And notice what happened when they tinkered with the brand and screwed their core narrative? Nike stock fell through the basement. Did the product change? Nope. The brand did.
It's not the product, it's the brand. Results don't sell the product, the storytelling does. Will these newly-elected commies lower prices? Of course not. Are they gonna get you free healthcare? No, your insurance is gonna get even worse, just like it did the last time they tried socialized medicine. They're not going to do anything they've sold you, but...like Saul Goodman said: if you're committed enough, you can make any story work.
The committed storytelling of a couple insane podcasters was enough to fracture an entire political coalition from their own side in less than 2 years...they have zero power, zero credibility, they've never actually governed anything nor produced any results, but...they're good storytellers, and that's all that matters. Are they telling a good story? No, it's atrocious, but they're telling their atrocious story effectively and compellingly.
It is 100% true that everything's too damn expensive, and we all know that inflated prices are always sticky. Does anyone know that it's entirely the result of shutting down the global economy over the flu and (both naive republicans and democrats) printing infinity dollars for several years? Nope...because nobody has effectively told that story, and it's an unsexy story to tell. "Free stuff!" is a VERY easy story to tell, and when everyone's gotta take out a second mortgage just to pay their insurance premiums, "free healthcare" is an unbeatable story. It doesn't matter that "free healthcare" doesn't exist and socialized medicine is a terrible product...it's not the product, it's the brand. And "FREE!" is a great brand.
You can't get mad at people for having the financial literacy of a 9 year old. I mean, you can, but they outnumber you a million to one, so it's not going to be productive. You need to figure out how to make an unsexy story sexy, or else the "free stuff!" crowd is going to eat your lunch every time. If you give people a choice between earning a six pack on a treadmill or taking Ozempic, they're gonna choose Ozempic...they don't care about the side effects. If you give people a choice between fiscal discipline or free stuff...guess what they'll pick? They don't care about the side effects.
With projected growth of 5%, the economy right now is stronger than it's been in generations. Is that the story you hear? Nope. Is that the vibe you feel? Absolutely not, especially when every time you fill up your gas tank, it feels like a diesel enema.
It's not the product, it's the brand. A great product can fall into oblivion with bad messaging...a single bad review from one effective storyteller can tank a restaurant. The "influencer economy" is lucrative for a reason; everybody inherently understands the importance of effective storytelling...except the right. Zohran Mamdani gets it...he has an army of influencers on staff. In a perfect metaphor of this transitional phase of old guard vs new wave political messaging, Zohran nuked the Vice President into oblivion with maybe the biggest ratio in the history of the internet. By simply posting the subway assistant meme, Mamdani got 2 MILLION likes, quoting a post from the VP that had only 10K likes. If you're reading that sentence thinking "this is fucking ridiculous, you're talking about social media likes as political analysis now?"...you are the problem.
Yes, this stuff matters. Rizz matters. The President did a masterful job of this kind of retail politics in his historic 2024 campaign...you can be angry that this is what politics has been reduced to, but you can either adapt or die.
"No the problem is, you didn't deliver enough for the American people!" Are you a moron? Since when does anybody care about that? What have democrats delivered for Californians in the last 20 years? Unmitigated wildfires, homeless drug zombies everywhere, roads that look like Fallujah in 2004...people don't care about results. They think they care about results. That want you to believe they care about results, just as Nike wants you to believe their shoes are better than New Balance...but at the end of the day, all people really care about is the swoosh.
Adapt or die.

Oh look—there are still some critically thinking humans remaining.
Thank God, I was feeling rather grim.
I've always liked you, Matt, but as a Korean, in a country where China's influence runs deep, I find this point very disturbing.
“Pointless war"? Follow the oil.
China buys more than 80% of Iran's shipped oil.
That's 1.38 million barrels a day in 2025, per Kpler.
Nearly every barrel Tehran sells under sanctions goes to Beijing.
Add Venezuela.
More than half of its oil exports went to China too.
Together, Iran and Venezuela supplied about 15-17% of China's crude imports.
Much of it was cheap, sanctioned oil, relabeled "Malaysian" to hide where it came from.
Now Greenland.
China controls about 60% of the world's rare earth mining and over 90% of the processing.
Those minerals go into missiles, fighter jets, EVs and chips. Greenland sits on the Arctic shipping routes Beijing calls the "Polar Silk Road."
So what connects Iran, Venezuela and Greenland?
They're three pillars of China's cheap energy and supply chain. Cut them and you raise the cost of Beijing's military buildup without firing a shot at China.
That is America First.
China is the only rival big enough to replace the U.S.
Letting it fuel up on discount oil from America's enemies is not "restraint."
It's surrender on the installment plan.
Gas prices hurt.
I get it.
But if Beijing runs the world's energy and minerals, groceries won't be the worst thing you can't afford.
Think one move ahead.
