A hardened Communist leader, whose fanatic policies impoverished Indian people and ruined Indian economy for decades - is ranting against the Government!
He and his ilk are the greatest threat to India’s progress.
My warning about the sale of IDBI Bank to Canada’s Fairfax now takes on an even more disturbing dimension.
Businessworld’s explosive report reveals a bizarre turn: after Fairfax’s initial bid of Rs. 75 per share fell short of the original reserve price of Rs. 94.42 fixed by Govt, the methodology was revisited and Fairfax’s revised bid of Rs. 81 was accepted - after reducing the reserve price to Rs. 75.99!. This time, Govt also agreed to indemnify IDBI's disputed income tax liability, with potential additional exposure alone amounting to hundreds of crores.
To justify accepting less than the original minimum price, the Government reportedly invoked an unusual precedent: the Railway Stores Code for auctioning scrap which states "Bids lower than the reserve prices may, however, be accepted by the Depot Officer where found expedient provided the Depot Officer doing so records his reasons in writing" - to help justify the sale of a strategic public bank!!
Since when is a national banking asset to be treated like railway scrap? Who changed the rules, why, and in whose interest - and at what cost to the public?
Worse, the internal note reportedly cited weak FDI inflows, currency pressures and treasury strain to justify the sale on reduced rates - even as the Finance Minister publicly defends India’s economic fundamentals and official figures report record gross FDI inflows.

At least earlier, you people used to pretend to be politically neutral. Now you have become so shameless that you have abandoned even that pretence and openly declared your agenda.

The first Maruti 800 made in India had just 2.7% local content, while iPhones made in China had only 3.6% in 2009.
By 2017, China had reached 25%, while India hit 20% in just 8 years. The ₹19,000 crore subsidy Bloomberg calls a waste of public funds has generated over 3.5 lakh jobs.

INDIA IS BUILDING QUANTUM SENSORS SO ITS WARSHIPS NEVER NEED GPS AGAIN
India’s Navy vice chief just confirmed the Navy is building quantum positioning, so its warships can operate in a “GPS-denied environment” with no satellites at all.
Quantum positioning removes that dependency. Atoms cooled to near absolute zero are extremely sensitive to motion. Measure how they shift as a ship moves, and you know where it is. No signal to jam, spoof or switch off.
India’s Ministry of Defence has already given a startup, QuBeats, about $3 million to build one.
Interesting times!

GST registration just got simpler. Key changes (CBIC clarifications, following GST Council’s 57th meeting):
* No Udyam/MSME certificate needed for GST registration (and it can’t be used as proof of place of business).
* Officers can’t reject applications just because the business operates from a residential premises or over unpaid electricity/water bills.
* Applications with successful Aadhaar authentication must be processed within 7 working days.
* Flippant/flimsy rejections restricted.
* Aimed at easing compliance for MSMEs and businesses in co-working spaces.
(Also part of a broader set of circulars tightening tax-demand notices and reducing disputes.)
GST registration gets easier as CBIC drops Udyam proof, sets seven-day limit for approvals

I feel @RBI, @jagograhakjago and @GoI_MeitY should introduce a rule requiring apps and digital platforms to refund unused wallet balances directly to the user’s original bank account.
Many platforms, including EV charging apps, investment-related apps and even Meta Ads, require users to add money in advance. But what happens when someone stops using an app, switches to another service, deletes the app, or simply has no further use for it?
In many such cases, the remaining balance gets stuck, and users may not even know how to recover it.
Why should our hard-earned money remain trapped in an inactive account or platform?
Users should have the right to withdraw their unused balance and receive a refund without unnecessary restrictions. It’s their money, after all!
A simple, transparent refund policy across digital platforms could make India’s digital ecosystem more consumer-friendly.
Isn’t it time we addressed this?
