If Minnesota is that bad I can't fathom what the numbers will be in California. First numbers I want to see is a forensic accounting of the 15.7 billion dollars spent on California's high speed rail line which has yet to produce a single inch of completed line.

My friend eats oatmeal five times a week and acts like he’s cracked the code to health. He’s missed three days of work last month due to illness. I asked him why he’s always sick if he’s so healthy. “It’s bad luck.” 😂

No, the dreaded daylight "saving" is ending, bringing us back into more natural time. It blows my mind to see so many intelligent people on the wrong side of the issue. The government isn't looking out for your health.

This is exactly right. When my father told me he might need to get his gall bladder removed, I walked over to the fridge and saw low-fat milk, as he was told to eat by his physicians. I told him to start buying full-fat dairy. Problem solved. It's well-demonstrated in the literature that a low-fat diet causes bladder disease. Physicians continue to recommend it, nevertheless. Gall bladder removal is the one of the most common surgeries. “Gallbladder disease is one of the most common procedures done in the United States with more than 1.2 million cholecystectomies done annually.” ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK44…
Surgeon: "Gallstones. Until we take it out, I want you on a low fat diet. Nothing fried, no cheese, no cream, skimmed milk." Patient: "What does the gallbladder do?" Surgeon: "Stores bile. Squirts it out to digest fat." Patient: "When?" Surgeon: "When fat arrives." Patient: "And if no fat arrives?" Surgeon: "It sits." Patient: "Full of bile. Not emptying. For months." Surgeon: "That's the idea. Rest it." Patient: "What do stones form from?" Surgeon: "Bile that sits too long and thickens." Patient: "So the treatment for a bag that's gone solid from not emptying is to stop emptying it." Surgeon: "The fat triggers the pain." Patient: "The fat triggers the squeeze. The pain is the stone in the door." Surgeon: "Which is why we're removing it." Patient: "What was I eating when the stones formed?" Surgeon: "I'd have to look." Patient: "Low fat. Since 2019. The slimming club." Surgeon: [does not look] Patient: "I've been resting it for six years. It's the best rested organ I own."

Food Swap Friday! 💱 Ground beef over spaghetti squash. Swap the pasta for spaghetti squash, with ground beef, reduced sugar sauce, a fraction of the carbs. Small swaps add up. Just eat real food that doesn't spike your blood sugar. What's YOUR favorite food swap? Photo Credit: @junkjunkee Note: This was Kelly's plate, I didn't add the sauce... I added just a little more CHEESE! Also summer squash will work, just use a spiralizer! Don't have a spiralizer? Pick one up on Amazon for $25-50 ... if pasta is yo thang! My favorite Spaghetti Sauce recipe is in the comments, it's also my chili recipe. 😎

A little over a pound of ground beef will be enjoyed with some feta cheese for lunch. I also sliced up and crisped some ribeye fat, but it didn't survive long enough for the photo.

Read the room. This was not an attempt at flagging for your, @AmDiabetesAssn's sake. I was making a joke of you at your expense. It's the least I could do since ... even in 2026 you still promote a low fat, high carb diet with grains every meal... to those that need it the least -- diabetics. Your diet and protocols cause much pain and suffering.
Hi - absolutely a typo! Thanks for flagging. It was a joint letter that we joined (and apparently those words merged).

The year is 1873. Your wife tires easily and reads too much. The doctor prescribes the rest cure: six weeks flat in bed, no books, no visitors, fed on milk, forbidden to sit up without his permission. The man who devised it is the most famous nerve specialist in America, and the women come out of it quieter, which is taken as the cure. The year is 1915. The hospital has a new way of delivering your child. Morphine, then scopolamine, and the mother wakes two days later with a baby she cannot remember having. They call it twilight sleep. The women are strapped into padded cots so they do not hurt themselves while they scream, and the straps are the modern part. The babies arrive blue and slow to breathe. The year is 1945. The truck comes down your street fogging DDT, and the children run behind it in the white cloud because the man on the back says it is harmless. At the beach it is sprayed over the bathers on their towels. It goes on the cattle, over the barn, and across the kitchen table. The year is 1948. Your son has trouble with his ears. The doctor slides a rod tipped with radium up each nostril and holds it there for the best part of ten minutes, and you bring him back three more times. Hundreds of thousands of American children get the same treatment. The cancers arrive in their fifties. The year is 1962. The health visitor tells you breastfeeding is old-fashioned and the formula is scientific. By 1972 fewer than one American baby in four is breastfed at all. The formula is skimmed milk and sugar, with the milk fat taken out and vegetable oil put in. The year is 1971. The family planning clinic fits a small plastic crab called the Dalkon Shield. Its tail is a bundle of fibres that wicks bacteria up into the womb. 2.8 million are fitted in America before it is withdrawn, and the company goes bankrupt under the claims. It had been sold as safe and superior. The year is 1983. The doctor says your arteries are the butter's fault. The dripping tin goes in the bin, the yolks go to the dog, the margarine goes in the fridge, and you have the heart attack anyway, on skimmed milk, having done everything right. The year is 2001. Your 15-year-old is low, and the doctor prescribes Paxil, because the trial in the journal says it is effective and well tolerated in adolescents. The raw data, reanalysed 14 years later, shows more suicidal thinking on the drug than on the sugar pill. The company pays $3 billion to settle. Nobody rings the house. The year is 2009. The government has spent around £500 million stockpiling Tamiflu for the pandemic, on the strength of the manufacturer's trials. When the trials are finally prised loose five years later, the drug shortens flu by about half a day and nothing shows it keeps anyone out of hospital. The stockpile goes out of date in a warehouse. The year is 2026. The doctor has ten minutes and a screen. The number is high, so the tablet is for life. The weight is high, so the injection is for life. The meat is bad for the planet and the oil is good for the heart, and the person in the chair is as certain as everyone who ever sat in it. Every one of those was settled, by a committee, in a journal, with a doubter somewhere being laughed at. The rest cure, the straps, the fog, the rod, the formula, the crab, the margarine, the trial, the stockpile. All of it certain, all of it printed, all of it done to somebody who had asked for help. You were never the one who was wrong. You were the one it was done to, and the only person in the story who did as they were told every single time. The apology comes a generation late, in a footnote, addressed to nobody. The next one is being drafted now.

This is a joke, right? Please put your hand up if you have reversed type 2 diabetes with diet and movement so we can educate this mainstream cardiologist. Diabetes, like so many chronic diseases is completely reversible if you improve what you eat and move your body. Full stop.

Intelligent minds can differ. But some takes are so breathtakingly stupid they qualify for secondhand brain damage. (Shockingly he doesn’t seem to be a parody account)

Fiber is not an essential nutrient. Your gut does not need it. Appetite control comes from protein and fat, not psyllium. In a 2012 study of 63 people with chronic constipation, the ones who stopped eating fiber entirely were all cured within six months. The ones who kept eating high fiber? No improvement. Read the actual study. Link below...

Tonight my wife cooked a US/Oklahoma born and raised steak on our grill (we calved it, raised it, took it to our family owned processor), medium rare, with stuffed mushrooms and asparagus. The finest steakhouse in the country couldn’t rival it … and we’ve eaten at them (slightly disappointed always when we do). She did this after out working me today, yet again. Buy local. Know your rancher. If you have a local ranch source, value the work they do and continue to support them. If you don’t and you’re in Oklahoma, DM me. No, it is not cheaper. Yes, it is humanely raised, loved in fact, by my wife everyday who values all life so preciously, and it is the highest quality beef you will ever taste. Before and after. Thank you God for this evening.

The U.S.A. exports 1.14 million metric tons of beef per year. We're going to import 300,000 metric tons of beef and sell it 25% below market value. What am I missing here? Can someone explain why we don't just cut exports? Maybe my logical brain is defective?
