Guy I knew who went to rehab years ago swore that they were keeping him there longer than they needed to because he had good health insurance.

Years ago the CA addiction solution was methadone in increasing doses. My heroin addict brother's daily methadone was like a shot of booze to get him started on his daily crime spree to buy heroin. A heroin overdose murdered him at 38. Feeding addiction kills adicts.

Imagine going to rehab after your family threatened to kick you out, and you get there and Big Nurse is like "bro, chill. Here's a couple months supply of smack. Just keep it on the DL."

Every movie you've ever watched there is a coporation that "cares only about money" while at the same time supplying you with what you need. Then there is the human colapse industry that has an endless revenue exploit.

Of course they are doing this. If there is a government program, there are thousands of criminals trying to capture the money. We need to completely change the way gov programs are executed

Oh its way worse than people can imagine. Anyone who has been through AA watched it get defunded completely starting with Obama so the bogus feminist driven "recovery" schemes could take over. It was skillfully executed starting with fake online recovery schemes designed to suck up all the AA money that then failed and allowed PE to come in and pick up all the alano clubs for pennies. Now every former alano club is a meeting place for what amounts to covens of witches where drugs are dirt simple to score.

What ? Are you saying in this world where money is everything, that a group of humans did everything they could to a different group of humans for monetary gain. I’m shocked, since when did humans start exploiting other humans for money ???

My ex runs legit sober living houses in LA and she was jumped by 5 blacks who came by offering drugs and cash to her clients to come to their sober living houses instead. She tried to chase them off and protect her clients and they JUMPED her.

Rehabs are useless for getting people sober sorry if you really care about someone you will just have to take care of them and see them through to wellness personally.

Reward functions: Rehab centers get rewarded for more junkies staying longer Hospitals get rewarded for more sick people staying sick longer Weapons manufacturers get rewarded by more wars Pharma companies get rewarded by more sick people on more prescriptions Homeless shelters get paid for homeless people If all of them were super ethical and working for the public good - they would resist the temptation of increasing profits by increasing the problems they're there to solve Instead all of them are profits first, ethics later The reader can imagine what happens over time

Never ever doubt a junkie. Also, never lend them anything or leave them alone around your stuff either.

Some prison contractors do this to sober inmates, too- hook them on MAT while they’re incarcerated, so they can be in a full-blown relapse when they hit the streets. But the contractor got paid a bit more, so it all worked out for them.
