The National Institute of Disaster Management (#NIDM), a premier institution under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is conducting the “𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 (𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗖) 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 @MEAIndia from 23–27 November, 2026 at Delhi campus, India.
The programme aims to build the capacity of international officials to understand, assess and manage urban disaster risks, and to apply resilience tools such as UNDRR’s Ten Essentials for Making Cities Resilient, the Disaster Resilience Scorecard for Cities, and GIS and remote sensing-based risk assessment, in line with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015–2030) and Sustainable Development Goal 11.

Today, ICRISAT inaugurated the ISSCA -ITEC international training program on “Agri-Entrepreneurship Training for Women and Youth – Small Scale Food Processing Enterprises” at its headquarters in Patancheru, #Hyderabad, India. Organized by ICRISAT Dryland Academy under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (@ITECnetwork) initiative, the training is supported by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India (@MEAIndia).
Running from 2–13 November 2026, the program brings together 43 participants from 20 countries to strengthen entrepreneurial skills and livelihood opportunities through value-added food processing.
The inaugural session was opened by Sri Narmadeshwar Lal, Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Government of Bihar (@bihargov); Dr Himanshu Pathak (@HPathakOfficial), Director General, ICRISAT; and Dr Stanford Blade(@DrStnfordBlade ), Deputy Director General – Research and Innovation, ICRISAT. Dr Charles Kleinermann, Director, CapSha Accelerator, CGIAR, joined virtually, while Dr Padmaja Ravula, Coordinator, Dryland Academy & Gender Research, ICRISAT and Dr Suryamani Tripathi (@tripathisuryama) , Global Head – Legal Services, ICRISAT, also addressed the participants.
Over two weeks, participants will gain practical knowledge of agribusiness incubation, affordable food processing technologies, product development and innovative business models, with a focus on establishing and managing sustainable small-scale food processing enterprises.

🇮🇳🤝🇲🇦 Renforcer les liens entre l’Inde et le Maroc grâce au partage des connaissances et à la coopération
L’Ambassade de l’Inde à Rabat a célébré la Journée ITEC le 30 octobre 2026, en présence de responsables marocains, d’anciens bénéficiaires du programme ITEC et d’amis de l’Inde.
L’Ambassadeur Sanjay Rana** a souligné le rôle important du programme ITEC dans le développement des compétences, le partage des connaissances et le renforcement de la coopération entre les deux pays.
M. Noureddine Boutayeb, ancien ministre délégué auprès du ministre de l’Intérieur, a honoré l’événement de sa présence en qualité d’invité d’honneur. Il a mis en lumière la coopération entre l’Inde et le Maroc dans le domaine des infrastructures publiques numériques, notamment le Registre national de la population (RNP), qui s’appuie sur l’expérience indienne du système Aadhaar et de la plateforme MOSIP.
M. Abdessamad Tajerramt, chef de la Division de l’Asie au ministère marocain des Affaires étrangères, a souligné les liens d’amitié de longue date et la coopération croissante entre l’Inde et le Maroc.
Cette célébration a également été l’occasion pour les anciens bénéficiaires marocains du programme ITEC de partager leurs expériences de formation en Inde, les compétences qu’ils ont acquises ainsi que les liens d’amitié qu’ils ont noués.
Au-delà de la formation professionnelle, le programme ITEC continue de tisser des liens durables entre les peuples et les institutions, contribuant ainsi au renforcement du partenariat entre l’Inde et le Maroc.

🇮🇳🤝🇲🇦 Strengthening India–Morocco ties through knowledge sharing and cooperation
The Embassy of India in Rabat celebrated ITEC Day on 30 October 2026, bringing together Moroccan government officials, ITEC alumni and friends of India.
Ambassador Sanjay Rana highlighted the important role of ITEC in skill development, knowledge sharing and strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Mr. Noureddine Boutayeb, former Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He highlighted India–Morocco cooperation in Digital Public Infrastructure, particularly Morocco's National Population Register (RNP), which draws on India's experience with Aadhaar and the MOSIP platform.
Mr. Abdessamad Tajerramt, Head of the Asia Division at Morocco's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the longstanding friendship and growing cooperation between India and Morocco.
The celebration also provided an opportunity for Moroccan ITEC alumni to share their experiences of training in India, the skills they acquired and the friendships they developed.
Beyond professional training, ITEC continues to build lasting connections between people and institutions, further strengthening the India–Morocco partnership.

Guided by the Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi’s vision of MAHASAGAR, RRU, in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Service, Government of Fiji, and with the support of @HCI_Suva, inaugurated three month-long capacity-building initiatives in Suva, Fiji.
Bringing together approximately 180 officials from Fiji and eight other Pacific countries, the initiative focuses on strengthening professional competencies in three critical areas: international law and security, psychological well-being, and cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. Luke Rokovada, Chairman, Public Service Commission of Fiji; Shri @suneetmehta1980, High Commissioner of India to Fiji; and Mr. Pita Tagicakirewa, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Civil Service, Government of Fiji. The Geological Survey of India Training Institute (GSITI), Hyderabad, successfully conducted a training programme on “Fundamentals of Geological Mapping and Mineral Exploration” under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme of the MEA, Government of India, from 6 to 19 October 2026, at FTC-Zawar.
Through expert-led sessions, interactive learning and field-based activities, the programme provided participants with valuable insights into geological mapping and practical exposure to mineral exploration. Bringing together 18 geoscientists from 9 ITEC partner countries, the initiative fostered an enriching exchange of geological knowledge, technical expertise and international experiences.

The School of Integrated Coastal and Maritime Security Studies (SICMSS), Rashtriya Raksha University, inaugurated its Two-Day Online Seminar on Undersea Communication Cables (USCC) on 29–30 October 2026.
The inaugural ceremony featured an address by Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice-Chancellor of Rashtriya Raksha University, Judge at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), Member of the International Law Commission, and Member of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
His address highlighted the significance of undersea communication cables in the evolving landscape of global connectivity, international cooperation, and maritime security.
The seminar brings together distinguished experts and industry professionals to explore the strategic importance of submarine communication cables, emerging security challenges, and the protection of this critical underwater infrastructure.
Through expert-led sessions and interdisciplinary discussions, the seminar aims to strengthen awareness, encourage knowledge exchange, and contribute to a deeper understanding of submarine cable security.

Over 200 attendees including ITEC beneficiaries and alumni, Myanmar officials, and leading Indian businesses attended our 63rd ITEC Day celebrations in Naypyitaw today. Ambassador Abhay Thakur welcomed Union Minister of National Planning & Foreign Economic Relations U Aung Kyaw Hoe, Union Minister of Finance & Revenue Dr. Kan Zaw, Union Minister of Commerce U Tun Ohn, Union Minister of Health U Soe Win, Union Minister of Industry U Charlie Than and Union Minister of Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein to the celebrations.
In his remarks, Ambassador noted that now with over 600 slots annually, the ITEC program in Myanmar has expanded by over 20 times in the last 30 years since it began in Myanmar in 1996, and dwelt on the importance and measures to further expand and enhance its effectiveness in the years ahead.
Cultural performances by Hindustani vocal and Bharatanatyam teacher-cum-performers and students of our Swami Vivekanand Cultural Centre were followed by remarks by three ITEC beneficiaries to share their respective experiences about their courses. The event concluded with a dinner reception with Indian food.
