RIP, Prof. Tsuneko Okazaki, the discoverer of Okazaki Fragment, with late Reiji Okazaki.
#WomenInScience.

Rockefeller's Shixin Liu (@InLiuOfBulkExps) is pioneering new ways of studying the tiny, fascinating proteins that copy and transcribe genetic code.
We spoke to Liu about how this work could shed light on tuberculosis, cancer, and more: bit.ly/4vGE4gn
Have you ever wondered what a car crash would look like at the nanoscale? Check out our latest preprint led by soon-to-be Dr. John Watters! @JWatts421 @Alushin_Lab @RockefellerUniv 🧬🚗

TPCB congratulates Gabriella Chua (@BadAtCloning) on receiving the 2026 Harold M. Weintraub Award! Gabriella is a recent graduate of the program, and this prestigious honor recognizes her outstanding scientific discoveries throughout her PhD studies. linkedin.com/posts/tpcb_gabr…
Congratulations to all awardees, special shout-out to our own Gabriella Chua @BadAtCloning !! 🎊🔥🍾️ @TPCB_NYC @RockefellerUniv @fredhutch
Huge congratulations to the recipients of the 2026 Weintraub Award! These twelve exceptional graduate students exemplify the bold, creative, and pioneering spirit embodied by Dr. Hal Weintraub. fredhutch.org/en/news/releas…
A great pleasure to be part of this exciting work from the Worden and Jones labs @VAInstitute that illustrated how a de novo DNA methyltransferase senses the linker DNA length between nucleosomes to tune its DNA methylation activity. Every physical parameter in chromatin matters!
So pleased to share that our work showing how Nucleosome spacing regulates DNA methylation by DNMT3A2/3B3 has been published today! Excellent collaboration the Jones and Liu labs.

Our collaborative study with @ZhaoLab_SKI on Smc5/6 is published @NatureComms! This work provides insight into the mechanisms for the unique ss-dsDNA junction binding behavior of this versatile SMC complex and its interplay with other factors such as PCNA: rdcu.be/e1Vkt

A study in @CellCellPress from Shixin Liu (@InLiuOfBulkExps) and Michael O’Donnell finds that a protein once thought to simply help load a factor necessary for the copying of DNA actually plays a key role in ensuring fast and reliable replication: bit.ly/4qOodK1
Check out our paper @CellCellPress where we visualized the interplay between two key DNA replication factors PCNA & RFC and found an unexpected non-catalytic role of RFC in stabilizing PCNA’s interaction with DNA polymerase and enabling efficient synthesis cell.com/cell/fulltext/S0092…
Led by @BadAtCloning and a fun collaboration with the O’Donnell lab @RockefellerUniv and @ZhaoLab_SKI, this work integrates single-molecule, biochemical and genetic approaches, shedding new light on DNA clamp loading, a process essential for genome replication and maintenance 🧬
