Dr. Gilmer W. Blackburn, Professor of History at Gardner-Webb College, examined how Nazi Germany portrayed Christianity in its history textbooks.
His findings were published in the December 1980 issue of Church History, a scholarly journal of the American Society of Church History (Vol. 49, No. 4, pp. 433–445).
Blackburn argues that Nazi educational materials portrayed Christianity as a foreign, Jewish-derived influence that had weakened the Germanic people for centuries, contradicting the racial and national ideals of National Socialism.
He records the following:
1. Christianity was portrayed as a Jewish corruption of German civilization
Heinrich Himmler, as quoted by Blackburn from Charles S. Macfarland's 1939 article “Hitler or Christ.”:
"The gods of our ancestors were different. They were men and carried in their hands a weapon which typified the natural characteristics of our race, namely readiness to act and self-reliance. How different is yonder pale figure on the Cross, whose passivity and emphasized mien of suffering express only humility and self-abnegation, qualities which we, conscious of our heroic blood, utterly deny.... The corruption of our blood caused by the intrusion of this alien philosophy must be ended."
2. The Christianization of Germany was depicted as a national tragedy
Dietrich Klagges, So Ward Das Reich (Frankfurt am Main, 1943), p. 8 (1943 Nazi textbook):
"Do you wish to stoop to the hated Franks? Do you wish to be slaves to the church? 'Never! Better death than slaves! Better die than live without honor! . . We will not crawl to the Cross! Long live freedom! You be our leader in battle and victory! Heil Herzog Widukind!'"
3. Medieval Christianity was condemned for weakening Germany
"In an ironic twist of fate, the Nazi historians attempted to convince German children that the Gothic cathedral, the foremost symbol of the Christian Middle Ages, received its inspiration from the old pagan Germanic religious impulse. "The sublime Nordic Licht- und Kampfglaube [light and battle faith] has gained form in it once again...."
4. Martin Luther presented a problem for Nazi historians
"Luther's Germanism was emphasized almost to the exclusion of his Christianity." "[Nazi textbook] authors condemned Luther's 'great work' (the translation of the Bible into German) which 'drove the Jewish spirit and Jewish thought deeper into the German folk than ever before.'"
5. Nazis wanted to replace Christianity with their own religion
"The study of history served a metaphysical purpose, and those who prepared the history textbooks served as priests of the Nazi Weltanschauung, a creed whose basic tenet, whether pseudo or real, repudiated the anthropological unity of the human race." "The demolition of Christianity would clear the way for more robust teutonic ideals and permit the regime to substitute its own interpretation of history for the former faith."
Blackburn discusses So Ward Das Reich (1943), p. 36. Under the heading “Germany Is Our Holy Land,” the textbook redirects religious devotion toward Hitler, the German people, and the Reich.
6. Nazi attacks on Christianity became more explicit over time
Blackburn argues that Nazi textbook treatments of Christianity became increasingly explicit, with some publications available by 1943 openly attacking Christianity:
"History was presented in National Socialist schools as an expanding revelation. Some things were revealed from the start, while others were either ignored or kept secret until the authorities were ready for them to be taught. The regime's attitude toward the Christian religion belonged in the latter category. Many of the earlier histories written by National Socialists said little or nothing at all about Christianity, but those published after 1943 unmasked the regime's full enmity for the Christian faith."
Blackburn concludes that:
"The fight against Christianity was viewed as a part of the desperate global struggle waged by Aryans against the inherent degeneracy of the Semitic world view. As an offshoot of the latter, Christianity was clearly seen as a rival for the German people’s allegiance. Hence, the Nazis yearned for the acceptance of a metaphysical system which was compatible with the political aims of their movement. [...] Christianity and Germanism were presented as polar opposites: the one as a stifling, unnatural, conscience-ridden, alien force; the other as an idealistic personification of the creed of hardness and a glorification of the instinctive nature of man."
Hero Polish doctor. An amazing story.
In the middle of World War Two, German soldiers in southeastern Poland started avoiding a cluster of villages.
They wouldn't go in. They wouldn't take people out for forced labor. They put up warning signs and stayed away.
They believed the area was infected with typhus.
It wasn't. Two doctors had invented the whole thing.
The man behind it was Eugene Lazowski, a young Polish doctor working for the Red Cross in the town of Rozwadów. He was watching the Nazi occupation tear his country apart. Executions. Deportations. People shipped off to labor camps, many never coming back.
He wanted to stop it. He had no weapons, no army, and no way to fight.
What he had was medicine.
His friend and fellow doctor, Stanisław Matulewicz, had discovered something strange. If you injected a person with a harmless, dead strain of a certain bacteria, their blood would test positive for typhus.
They wouldn't be sick at all. But on paper, they'd look like they had one of the most feared diseases of the war.
And the Germans were terrified of typhus. It spread fast, it killed, and it could tear through an army. When the Germans found it, they quarantined the area and kept their distance.
Lazowski realized what that meant. If he could make enough people look infected, the Germans would leave the whole region alone.
So he started injecting his patients.
He chose carefully. He sent the blood samples to German labs for testing, exactly as the rules required. The results came back positive. Again and again.
The Germans declared an epidemic zone. Villages were quarantined. Soldiers kept out. People who would have been seized for forced labor or worse were left alone, because nobody wanted to go near them.
Lazowski had to be careful. If too many cases looked fake, someone would ask why nobody was dying. So he spread out the injections over time and kept the outbreak believable.
Eventually the Germans did get suspicious. They sent a team of doctors to inspect.
Lazowski met them with food and vodka and played the gracious host. He guided them toward the sickest looking, dirtiest patients he could find, in the most crowded rooms. The German doctors, worried about catching typhus themselves, took a few samples and left in a hurry.
The tests came back positive.
The fake epidemic lasted until the end of the war. Estimates say it may have protected around 8,000 people.
Lazowski also secretly helped Jews from the nearby ghetto, giving them medical care at enormous risk.
After the war he moved to the United States and became a professor of pediatrics in Chicago. For decades he barely talked about what he'd done. Late in life he finally wrote a memoir. He called it My Private War.
He died in 2006.
He never fired a shot. He beat the Nazis with a needle and a lab test.

This is one of the biggest success stories in conservative media.
A fantasy show filled with Christian themes gaining mainstream prominence.
This is how we win the culture— through incredible storytelling and top-notch productions.
It’s a terrific series, @JeremyDBoreing. Thank you for doing it. I watched it on Amazon earlier this fall. Your casting choices were spectacular, especially for Merlin and his father. A great example of how to make satisfying entertainment that stands on its own but also weaves in Christian themes as integral parts of the story. I hope someone supplies funding for a follow-up. Another example of the primacy of content and artistry over mere money. I watched the first season of the lavishly funded Rings of Power, but didn’t bother with the next. I would definitely watch another season of the Pendragon Cycle.
Actual election fraud.
BREAKING: NYT reports that operatives with Democratic Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Mary Peltola’s campaign were behind the effort to find & recruit a candidate named Dan Sullivan to run against incumbent GOP Senator Dan S. Sullivan in an effort to confuse voters and peel votes from him.
Specifically, NYT says they have reviewed text messages and documents that reveal in summer 2025, a Peltola staffer received instructions from campaign staffers to find as many people named Dan Sullivan in Alaska as possible.
The staffer complied, going through voter records, and compiled a list. The operation “involved secret trips to far-flung Alaskan communities and the appearance of a mysterious Midwestern operative, who traversed the state using a fake name and made his pitch to would-be candidates over beers at brew pubs.”
Per NYT:
“The plan worked. This spring, a retired teacher from a tiny fishing village along the Alaska Panhandle, reachable only by air and sea, announced his candidacy for Senate. His name was Dan J. Sullivan.”

The Bible mentions Adam and Eve referring to other people outside of the Garden during the process of them being expelled.
Which means Adam and Eve were probably White, and there were black people outside lol
Some people have pointed out that Posobiec likely meant that Samuel Sey is an “illegal alien” rather than than that his message was “illegal.” I now think they are right, although Posobiec’s lack of basic grammar didn’t help with interpreting what he said. In any case, it’s clear he was attacking what Sey said, and so the rest of my post stands.
If you actually watch the clip that self-identified Catholic Jack Posobiec is denouncing as potentially “illegal,” Samuel Sey is making the unexceptional point that Adam and Eve (the first humans according to Christian theology) were likely “brown” and not “white.” Therefore, “whites” did not always exist. Instead, whites are descended from the same original couple that people of every color are descended from. The idea that Adam and Eve are the parents of people of all ethnicities is basic biblical Christianity, whether you are Catholic or Protestant or Orthodox. Yet not only does Posobiec apparently reject this teaching, he asks whether it is “illegal”! And I see from the comments that Protestant Pastor Dale Partridge has chimed in supporting Posobiec’s post. Biblical Christians who are sitting on the fence about the “woke right” need to understand who and what they are enabling.

Elections matter. Will enough voters in Washington State realize what they are doing before it is too late? There are key Supreme Court races, several initiatives, and lots of legislative and congressional candidates on the ballot. This election is a chance to make a significant difference if enough voters are willing to do something.

Some very perceptive questions from @coconservative7.
This ridicules the suggestion that Sey's Christian identity should have any bearing on appeals for governmental mercy. Yet at the same time, it rejects the proposition that lawful naturalization makes someone genuinely American.
Taken together, those claims suggest a conception of nationality that is not reducible either to shared Christian faith or to legal citizenship. But what, then, is the necessary ingredient? Despite Sey's opponents' appeals for a "Christian nation," his Christianity is apparently insufficient not only as an appeal for special legal consideration, but to brotherly charity as well. And of course, Protestia is gUiLty!! for encouraging charity when it could later be found out that Sey was at fault (and according to Matt. 18:21-35, we must insist brothers pay the full consequences of their guilt, especially those who've personally offended us).
And apparently, even upon taking the oath and being conferred actual American citizenship, Sey would still not be a "real" American, just like an easy-believing, aisle-walking prayer repeater is not a "real" Christian (of course, if God handed certificates of heavenly citizenship to each prayer repeater, I'm not sure we'd suggest they weren't real Christians).
And so the question remains, what would Sey lack in terms of American identity? Genetic lineage? The correct ideological views? Sufficient honor rendered to the riverboat captain-bearded brigade of the LARPing online right? Sey would pledge allegiance both to Jesus and the flag, but could never become a real American by just saying some stuff... I mean, if only guys like Sey were more like White Christian Brother™ James Talarico, we wouldn't have an issue at all, amiright??

True to form, Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva immediately pledged censorship after the victory for the far left. He added, "I was chosen by God. I always found that I had God’s finger on my head.” God, it appears, favors the denial of natural rights like free speech.

Hospitals that once played an active role in destroying children's minds and bodies are finally reversing course. Children will be healed, now, instead of harmed.
🚨Today, Texas Children’s Hospital has officially launched their Detransition Clinic 🚨
Under the settlement, TCH must provide multidisciplinary detransition-related care FREE OF CHARGE for five years, including endocrinology, surgery, primary care, fertility counseling, mental health services, social work, and speech pathology.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude once again to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and my attorneys at the Burke Law Group for their extraordinary dedication, sacrifice, and tireless efforts throughout this fight. Their commitment helped turn a painful and difficult chapter into an opportunity for meaningful change. @KenPaxtonTX @BurkeLawTweets
I think of all the detransitioners who have suffered in silence, been dismissed, and fought desperately to have their voices heard. This win is for them.
I hope TCH’s admirable effort to fund and launch Americas first detransition clinic becomes a turning point for the entire country. That this clinic is not the exception, but the first of many.
Today’s a good day. ❤️

In late 2022, I made my first-ever post about Christian Nationalists.
Thomas Achord had been unveiled to be using the N-word, calling for violence, and making sexual remarks on an anonymous Twitter account.
When he was fired as the headmaster of a Christian school, his friends started a fundraiser that falsely claimed he was framed. As a frequent user of the platform, I made a tweet saying they might not want an objectively racist campaign to help someone dodge church discipline.
I never reported the campaign, I never called names, etc.
In response the CNs called my workplace and my church, they issued death threats and behaved like demons.
Now they’re falsely accusing a legal fundraiser like hundreds of others of violating terms of service.

Earlier this week, our dear brother Samuel Sey @SlowToWrite was en route to appear on our podcast when he got detained by ICE. Samuel is from Canada, and has been living here as a legal resident of the United States. We are confident this clerical mistake will be fixed, but this has been a terrible experience for his family.
Please consider supporting his lovely wife Annie and their three small children as they deal with the legal and living expenses of this terrible ordeal.
If you know Samuel, you know what a good man of character he is. So many of us have been blessed by his writing and ministry. Please help! givesendgo.com/support-for-s…

At 13, detransitioner @ChloeCole was told dangerous puberty blockers were the answer. At 15, she had an irreversible double mastectomy. Now she’s standing in support of Amendment 3 so no Missouri child goes through what she did.

Just before the midterm election when no one is watching, Washington’s PDC suspends the rules on large pre-election contributions—benefiting the @JayInslee- and @GovBobFerguson-appointed incumbents and candidates for the State Supreme Court. Public-sector unions are pouring BIG money into these races, creating the appearance of corruption and that our judiciary is both compromised and sold to the highest bidder. We need independent justices, not rubberstamps for unions and Democrat politicians. VOTE FOR THESE FIVE @WAGOP-RECOMMENDED JUDGES.

What the Actual??? WA STATE CORRUPTION
WARNING TLDR
Who do you think seems more corrupt?
1) The public unions trying to buy Washington's Supreme Court races?
Or
2) The PDC, which suddenly changed the rules 12 days before the election so those unions can spend even more?
What happened:
Oct 13: the 21-day late-money cap kicked in. Max $7,500 per donor to PACs.
Oct 22: the PDC suspended it. By "interpretive statement." No lawsuit. No ruling.
What it means:
In this final stretch, when voters are filling out ballots, the PDC changed the donation rules so there's no limit on what one donor can give a PAC. Checks of any size, right up to Election Day.
Who benefits:
The unions. SEIU, WEA and WFSE have already given $450K directly to the "Beware the Attack on Our Courts" PAC.
In addition SEIU, WEA and WFSE are also the largest donors to New Direction PAC, which has donated an additional $298K to the supreme court judicial “Beware” PAC
Until Oct 22, each of them could only give the court PAC up to $7,500 more before the election. Now they can give $500K. Or $5M. No Limits
Where does their money come from?
$165M+ a year flowing into SEIU, WEA and WFSE. Tax-exempt- taken from their members—each year.
5 Supreme Court seats on the ballot. A majority of the court.
How much of the Supreme Court does $165M buy? The PDC just gave the public unions the green light to find out.
Want judges not bankrolled by the public unions?
Vote.

Too true: “Bureaucracies administer poverty rather than eliminate it. Every dollar Washington sends to a poor family in Chicago passes through a federal agency, a state agency, a county office, and a caseworker's desk first. The machinery consumes a stunning share before anything reaches you.”
Lyndon Johnson declared war on poverty in January 1964, and poverty promptly won.
The Office of Economic Opportunity launched that same year, spending $800 million in its first year alone. By 1980, the federal government had spent over $3 trillion (in today's dollars) across the constellation of Great Society programs: Medicaid, food stamps, housing subsidies, community action agencies, the whole apparatus. The poverty rate in 1964 sat at 19 percent. By 1973, it had fallen to 11 percent. Impressive, until you notice it was already falling at precisely that rate throughout the 1950s, before Johnson spent a single dollar.
The market was already doing the job.
What Johnson created was a dependency infrastructure. The Aid to Families with Dependent Children program paid higher benefits when no father lived in the household, which subsidized his departure.
Between 1965 and 1980, out-of-wedlock births among black Americans climbed from 25 percent to 56 percent. Charles Murray documented the numbers exhaustively in "Losing Ground" (1984), and the left never refuted the math; instead, they attacked Murray personally.
Bureaucracies administer poverty rather than eliminate it. Every dollar Washington sends to a poor family in Chicago passes through a federal agency, a state agency, a county office, and a caseworker's desk first. The machinery consumes a stunning share before anything reaches you.
Capital formation, voluntary exchange, and sound money pulled more people out of destitution in the 19th century than every federal program combined has since Johnson's cameras rolled in the Rose Garden.
