Algeria sends SU-30s on a "support mission" to Niger. This is really an extremely unusual for Algeria and a very strong show of force in the Sahel. Really shows how serious it is about strengthening its influence in the Sahel.

I want to stress again that this is highly unusual for Algerian foreign and security policy. And shows Algeria’s desire to really solidify its relations with the AES states.

There have been massive attacks across Mali by JNIM and the FLA. The FLA and JNIM working together is a major shift and fighting back will test not only Bamako, but also Moscow.
