Tesla just need to make a nerfed FSD for Europe - then improve upon that.
It has been too long!
Nearly got in an accident Sunday morning - some idiot went to pull across in front of me when my light was green.
I would've lost the car and the FSD I have never used 💀
It's not really going to fly unless it's a stunt you can only do on a racetrack.
Hover a bit or turn—kind of useless.
Most likely no flight, just an acceleration and downforce boost on launch and maybe cornering assist (heavy EVs suck vs ICE at cornering). Super niche track-day use under special conditions.

GOLDMAN SACHS EXPECTS NO AI SLOWDOWN:
“The capex cycle through the end of 2027 is likely to remain elevated and in line with our estimates, which are higher than the Wall Street consensus.”
GS expects US hyperscalers to deploy $1.4 trillion in 2027. Constraints including power & land as well as memory.
💯
So let’s get this right Hegseth. You and your boss start a war against Iran without even informing never mind consulting your European allies, during which Iran seizes the Strait of Hormuz — which you’re now struggling to wrest back. And now you say it’s Europe’s fight rather than America’s.
No. You broke it. You fix it.

Elon is best when form follows function.
You can't really argue with aesthetics when they have a purpose - it's the "function follows form" stuff that never really works for long

Look after the people who bought FSD and are still waiting. At least send them some merch

Tesla has yet to pursue necessary regulatory approvals for FSD rollout in Britain.
Right @grok?
Why did they sell FSD? Why don't they tell us anything?!
Did I buy from a dodgy strip mall? 😵💫

I know it'll be 2H 2027 before we get anything at a minimum. I've contacted UK authorities myself, they haven't had an application.
We bought in 2023. Any accident and we lose it. They keep opening and closing transfer windows with no warning.
They give no info or updates.
It's pretty damn dodgy imo

It just got easier to charge at home.
The UK Government is removing the need for separate planning permission for cross-pavement charging gullies, making it easier for more households to access convenient, lower-cost home charging.
With around 40% of households without off-street parking, this could help significantly reduce the “driveway divide” and make switching to an EV more practical for millions of people.
The changes could also make it easier to expand public charging, with proposed rules allowing more charging equipment to be installed in car parks.
Another positive step towards making EV charging simpler, more accessible and available to everyone.
I know people who own listed buildings who can't fix leaky roofs or replace windows. I get it but it doesn't make sense when these buildings are decaying.
Automation can be the answer to lowering repair costs.
English Heritage lists 4,891 historic sites on its 'Buildings at Risk' register
Every one of them faces the same calculation: restore the stone, and pay 20% VAT
Or: knock it down, and pay nothing
The tax system has been making this calculation worse since 2012 when the exemption for listed building alterations was removed
Thousands of buildings are at risk
And a tax policy that penalises saving them
The capacity to restore them affordably is what @Gondor_Ind is building
It's designed for blind people. When the door hits you, you know where it is 🤔
Boy, they really need to do something about those Tesla Cybercab doors

Objectively v funny that Brexit Britain has stronger productivity than France or Germany.
It is surely however obvious as to why the US is so much richer:
- cheap energy
- plentiful investment
- flexible labour market
- whatever the opposite of EU approach to tech regulation is
I agree with Tom's conclusion, the US is the economic outlier to study. But the UK productivity revision risks being overstated. It moves the UK's post-GFC productivity trend from in-line with France, to in-line with Germany.
What remains important (despite its importance as a metric) is that "you cant eat productivity". This change is the result of re-assessing downwards how many hours UK workers undertake to generate an unchanged measure of GDP. Fresh accounting treatment of annual leave, bank holidays, sickness, furlough and other lower-hours adjustments are key.
Overall economic output is still where it is, which on a per capita basis is still disappointing. Arguably this revision tells us more about why wellbeing measures have tended to hold up well. It turns out Britons have more leisure time than we thought!
