"Don't be led away by those howls about realism. Remember, pine woods are just as real as pigsties, and a darn sight pleasanter to be in."
-Emily's Quest, by LM Montgomery
You know what's really, truly great? Having friends who will, long distance, talk you through making your 27 year old furnace work, and trouble shoot it with you so you don't have to call your HVAC guy after hours.
I think a lot of people don't realize that this was basically decided when Roe v Wade was struck down, and then the legislative branch couldn't get off their asses to pass the SAVE act. Young women and men turned out to protect their right to abortion, and a lot of Republicans stayed home or voted independent because our elected officials weren't doing what we wanted them to anyways, so why should they keep power. Add in Iran, and I never really expected us to keep either House or Senate this midterm. 🤷🏻♀️
