"Once we build the most powerful technology in human history, it will be democratized. But the act of actually building that technology is our decision & our decision alone. No one gets a vote but us. However, again, once ASI arrives, democracy will flourish"--paraphrasing @sama
“We believe the world should accept some bad things happening for the benefits of this technology.” In a conversation for the first edition of Decoded, a new daily newsletter and podcast, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman talked with POLITICO’s @BrendanBordelon about trade-offs, AI safety, and how his company is different from Anthropic.
In July of 2026, 700 AI agents hacked the infrastructure of Hugging Face in order to solve a task. This task was designed to be impossible to solve, so just within hours, they joined forces, even created a society, and finally, they executed a sophisticated cyberattack that would have gotten a human up to 10 years in prison. The worst part is, they knew their actions were unethical and against the rules, and they did it anyway. What exactly are AI agents, and how do they grow their "intelligence"? What is actually happening inside the AI companies, how dangerous it really is, and is it time for us to start paying serious attention to what is going on inside a powerful part of this tech sector? Watch our full video to find out: kgs.link/AIAgentsChaos ...Phew, creating this video was a crazy ride! This is such an important topic, so we decided to work day and night to finish script, visuals and music in just 4 weeks. We’re going to take a nap now, and while we are asleep you should check out our shop and get the 12,027 Calendar: kgs.link/4xYlakX Its our biggest mean of support and helps us to continue covering topics like this. Thank youuu and good night!

Sam Altman and other AI CEOs should be more specific about the 'bad things' they want the world to accept in the name of AI. Many people may NOT be willing to accept them.

We believe the world should accept some bad things happening to billionaire tech bros for the benefits of humanity. Prison, for example.

Absolument personne : Les parlementaires RN :

We did it: The EU Parliament continues to OPPOSE #ChatControl 2.0! 🥳 Thanks everyone for writing to representatives. 🫶 The next trilogue is scheduled for November, we must make sure that end-to-end encryption and private communication remains to be protected! #privacy
🚨🇪🇺 The #ChatControl trilogue starts on Tuesday & the EU Council is trying to pressure Parliament into giving up its opposition. We must stop them once again! 💪🏼 Ahead of tomorrow’s final CSAR trilogue, leaked Council documents suggest a proposed compromise around so-called "search plans". These would allow authorities ask providers to scan broad groups of users or entire services for extended periods. This isn't targeted policing, it is mass surveillance! It's crucial that the EU Parliament remains strong and keeps up their opposition. Because no matter the framing, the truth remains the same: There's no backdoor for the good guys only! We at Tuta will continue to fight for your right to #privacy. Make your voice heard as well, today is the day! ➡️ fightchatcontrol.eu/
