🚨 BIG NEWS: $NBIS NEBIUS IMPROVES AI TRAINING THROUGHPUT ON 192 NVIDIA B300 GPUs WITHOUT ADDING A SINGLE GPU.
This is a pretty bug technical update from Nebius.
Nebius tested NUMA-aware process affinity on a DeepSeek V3 pretraining workload running across 192 NVIDIA B300 GPUs using Megatron Bridge on its managed Kubernetes platform.
The results? Mean training step time decreased by 1.11%, while model throughput per GPU increased by 1.13%.
Now, 1.13% might not sound impressive initially. But when you're operating thousands of expensive GPUs, even a small improvement in utilization can have meaningful economic value.
Modern GPU servers have multiple CPU sockets and NUMA domains. Each CPU has faster access to its local memory and PCIe connected devices. When training processes get scheduled across the wrong NUMA domains, they can introduce unnecessary memory traffic, latency and communication overhead.
Nebius tested exclusive NUMA binding, which keeps processes closer to their local CPU, memory and GPU resources.
The important part is that they're improving performance through infrastructure level optimization rather than buying additional compute.
Imagine a hypothetical 100,000 GPU deployment achieving the same 1.13% throughput improvement. That's roughly the training throughput equivalent of adding 1,130 GPUs, assuming the improvement scales consistently.
Of course, this benchmark doesn't prove the same gains will hold across every model, cluster or workload.
Nebius is operating in a market where GPUs are extremely expensive, power availability is constrained and customers care about how quickly they can train models.
If Nebius can consistently extract more useful compute from the same hardware, customers can finish training workloads faster while Nebius potentially improves the competitiveness and economics of its cloud platform.
This wasn't a synthetic GPU benchmark. Nebius used a DeepSeek V3 pretraining workload with Megatron Bridge, which makes the result more relevant to actual large model training.
This is what separates simply renting NVIDIA GPUs from building a serious AI cloud platform.
Anybody with enough capital can purchase GPUs. Getting those GPUs to operate efficiently across CPU topology, memory, networking, containers and distributed training software is an entirely different engineering problem.
Nebius is showing that it's paying attention to that layer and as its GPU infrastructure scales, these seemingly small optimizations could become increasingly important to its customers and its own infrastructure economics.

BREAKING: The Nasdaq 100 closed down 6.4%, its worst day since the COVID crash on March 16, 2020.
$IREN delivered across the board and is also toppling the "neocloud" bear case by getting 90% of GPU's pre-paid on a five year deal.
This is what happens with insatiable Ai compute demand and it's incredibly bullish for $NBIS too!
90% pre-payment is a big tell and will be a huge counter for the neoclouds bear thesis around financing risk
Good $IREN report.

The governor-elect of Texas, Gina Hinojosa, has explicitly said that all currently permitted datacenters in Texas will be allowed to finish construction. This essentially covers all of the 2027 and likely well into 2028.
She is going to pass laws that ensure that all *newly* permitted datacenters going forward for delivery in 2028/2029 will pay taxes, commit to no increase in power prices for consumers, don’t impact water availability for people, be constructed with union labor and give “Texans a seat at the table.”
Sounds reasonable. She doesn’t want to lose a lot of good blue collar jobs and property taxes for small towns in rural Texas.
Datacenter commentary starts at 6:30 in this interview.
Also attaching her official campaign position from her website in the next post.
Sidenote: After watching a bunch of her speeches and interviews, I do think she is a political talent and probably has a future in national politics.

More $NBIS commons.
Let me put it this way. When $NBIS was at $200, many would have begged for sub-120 prices to buy.
Now it's sub-120 and the goal posts have magically shifted.
All I know is that fundamentals haven't changed, the thesis has become stronger, and when we are $200+ again hindsight will once again be 20/20.

So Citrini says short $NBIS.
Please go look at their track record on individual stocks.

Citi expects neocloud earnings to show "continued insatiable demand."
Neoclouds are now extremely undervalued in relation to compute scarcity and future growth.
Overreaction today on Texas results and democratic sweep, IMO.
Wild to see defensive, biotech, healthcare, and cybersecurity sectors continue their march upwards at lofty valuations.

This is a fantastic idea by @aleabitoreddit.
We see this constantly with Nebius.
Independent accounts like mine have essentially made it a full-time job to dismantle all of the FUD, daily.
A dedicated Nebius representative providing regular, official statements is now a near necessity given today's rapid information cycles and massive price volatility.
This would structurally amplify our efforts to keep the facts front and center.

I think this is the time for AI companies to appoint representatives on X.
To directly combat misleading AI narratives affecting ecosystem valuations and their financing ability.
The financial incentives to amplify overblown fears are enormous.
Both from well-capitalized executives who benefit from smaller competitors collapsing.
And from firms aiming to profit off deleveraging the AI trade.
It shouldn’t take quarterly earnings to finally push back against false rumors of oversupply or buildout delays.

$IREN being down 11% shows me how much capitulation is affecting these clueless retail investors.
Texas being blue was BULLISH for $IREN, and there's no doubt about it.
The governor wants to support the already built data centers, and the only argument is that SW2 is harder to get up by 2028.
Besides that, there is only more leverage for $IREN, who now controls Texas in terms of data center production.
Their cost and power are only going to go up now that it'll be more strict to receive permits for building, which will make the compute much more expensive.
