A very funny finish from Gillon McLachlan at today’s Tabcorp AGM regarding his spectacularly unsuccessful investments in many race horses.

We don’t hold this $MYX turd (we got plenty other turds ) But if you in this mess of a company - then I recommend you vote for Brett !! At the very least he will act in your best interest He might have an uphill battle ahead - but at least he’s trying 👏👏 👇👇
$$MYX.AX : CEO Pay for NO Performance So the company sneaks out announcements at 7pm when they hope that nobody is watching about the CEO pay granted that is not in any way tied to performance. nitter.cf/toy59496/status/211494… Also in case you missed it notice the circa $600k Cosette retention bonus he received. Hang about you say!? The deal didn't go through and we lost a crap load of money. You know, like HALF A BILLION across the shareholder base. That's correct. But what the hell, they paid it to the management anyway... It's not like the Board had any substantial personal equity. It's always easier to pay people with someone else's money. In fact do any of you guys want to pay my electricity bill? Not only that, this CEO, less than a year into his very first gig being a CEO, is paid well above what you would expect for a $200m (and dropping) market capitalisation company especially after a Q1FY27 quarterly where underlying EBITDA has HALVED and the business is obviously in significant distress. In fact interestingly the EBITDA is roughly what he has been paid which is the another reminder of the corporate bloat in this company. This is not criticism of the CEO who quite rightly trys to get as much as he can, and in fact I think Aaron has a good mind, and properly incentivised with performance measures might actually achieve value for shareholders in selling the sum of parts. Rather it is a serious criticism of the oversight function of a Board that has no equity in a personal name and apart from Jacob little or no equity at all. You can see why I no longer have faith in the board. Don't forget to vote FOR resolution 4. Disclosure: I am a shareholder and a candidate for election to the Board. This post and my videos express my views and supports my election. It is not a recommendation to buy, hold or sell shares. Seek independent financial advice before making investment decisions.

Polish FM Radosław Sikorski: "There is a myth that has been successfully planted in the West that Russia always wins. But things don't always go their way. They lost the Crimean War. They lost the war against Japan. They emerged from World War I with their tails between their legs. They lost the invasion of Poland. They lost Afghanistan. And they lost the Cold War. So things can turn out very differently." - @sikorskiradek

With unemployment at a five-year high of 4.7%, @JEChalmers and @AlboMP are making it harder for Australians to start businesses and create jobs. Rushing a CGT Bill into Parliament with barely any notice and a few start-up carve-outs won’t fix the damage. This is economic vandalism. Victorian government debt binge is crazy - ignore the made-up "net" numbers, the only thing that matters are the gross, or actual, debt figures...In 2019 Victoria’s public sector owed $54bn. By 2028 it will owe $257bn. That is $34,500 for every man, woman and child in the state, up from $8,200. The interest bill alone hits $8.9bn a year in 2026-27 and $11.8bn by the end of the decade. NSW is not far behind: $59bn to $243bn, or $27,300 a head. Queensland goes from $68bn to $184bn, $30,900 a head once you count its state-owned power and water companies. Three states, half a trillion dollars of new debt in under a decade, and the projections still have the lines pointing up. Someone has to pay for this, and it will be the next generation of taxpayers. Figures are non-financial public sector borrowings at 30 June, from state budget papers and audited outcomes; 2026 to 2028 are budget projections. #StateDebt #Victoria #NSW #Queensland #AustralianEconomy #Budget #Debt

Fast talking captain Brevity Pat O’Sullivan has absolutely no idea why there was a 15% rem protest vote at today’s Siteminder AGM. We met everyone and they loved it. Perhaps the 3 critical rem questions you read out earlier from 2717 Partners might have something to do with it.

New: Sources from three countries confirm that the Trump Administration has advocated Viktor Orbán for UN Secretary-General. The US has encouraged Orbán to enter the race, even bringing him the initial idea of a joint U.S.-Russia-China candidacy. WSJ: wsj.com/opinion/viktor-orban…

For the idiots on all sides: The war will continue if Putin were to be replaced in Russia. The war will continue if Zelensky were to be replaced in Ukraine. The war will end only when: 1) Russia suffers catastrophic defeats on the front. 2) Russian economy collapses.

Yes Ted, wish I got this much reaction for an AGM tweet. Shame it's so hyper-partisan and OTT. I'm a swinging voter and don't believe there is any such thing as a good 4th term government so hoping for change this time.

Of course, the truth is that they would have cut Ukraine off from both Starlink and Starshield long ago, stopped sharing intelligence on Russian ballistic missile launches targeting Ukrainian cities, and done just about anything to cripple Ukraine’s ability to defend itself. Ukraine is a thorn in their side, standing in the way of their sweet dealings with the Kremlin. The problem is that they haven’t had much luck with the country they’re trying to do this in. America is still not Putin’s Russia. And despite their frantic efforts to tear it all down, America still has Congress, elections, courts, public opinion, rules, and moral values.

Flew to Sydney yesterday & took my girl friend’s mum to the EVT AGM. We’re still in shock that billionaire Alan Rydge, who runs breakfast buffets at his Rydges hotels all over Australia 7 days a week, didn’t even offer a dry biscuit or bottled water to shareholders. No respect!

Why has Alan Rydge called in Rothschilds now to assist with a big EVT strategic review which may lead to huge Sydney CBD property sales? He admitted part of his shareholding is pre-1985. Therefore, it’s tax effective to get the share price as high as possible on June 30, 2027.
