Joe Rogan: Why are you a Democrat?
.@JamesTalarico: My mother met my birth father, who had a drinking problem that sometimes led to being violent. My mom decided right then and there that she was leaving. She found a little apartment in East Austin and worked double duty at a hotel to provide for us. She saw Texas Democrats like Ann Richards, people who fought for the little guy. That was the classic Democratic Party. I asked my mom what we were, and she was like, ‘We're Democrats, because Democrats fight for the people.’ Our historical legacy is the party that fights for the little guy. That's why I'm a Democrat.

Olivia Rodrigo repping @amyactonoh in Columbus. Love a liberal queen. #OhioGovernor
Olivia Rodrigo made a political statement during her concert in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday night, showing support for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton just days before Election Day.
The Grammy-winning singer wore a white "Amy Acton for Governor" T-shirt while performing at the Schottenstein Center, with the message prominently displayed on the venue's giant screen.
Rodrigo, who has long used her platform to advocate for reproductive rights and political activism, threw her support behind Acton as she faces Republican Vivek Ramaswamy in Ohio's closely watched governor's race on Nov. 3. Acton acknowledged the endorsement on social media Friday.

How remarkable that an agricultural worker in the 1930s had access to better tailoring than the US Vice President today.

Latinos have been terrorized by Trump and @GregAbbott_TX. I cannot emphasize how important it is to elect @GinaHinojosaTX to bring humanity back to our community. Investing in Gina is the most important investment our party can make for Latinos. GinaforTexas.com

The Israeli government’s harassment of rabbis and volunteers is part of the same pattern of intimidation and violence we see in settler attacks against Palestinians, Americans, and others on a near daily basis in the West Bank. Secretary Rubio must step up to protect Americans.

Texas was built by hope. By people who had no business believing — but believed anyway.
To every Texan who’s ever wondered if anyone in power is paying attention: We are taking our state back.
Because a little bit of hope is a dangerous thing.

Violent, terrorist West Bank settlers attack Palestinian olive harvesters and brutally beat them as well as American journalists.
Two straight days of settlers brutally beating Americans in the West Bank—yesterday Haitham Taysir in Burqa, today @washingtonpost journalist Heidi Levine in Abu Falah. Both remain hospitalized, Haitham in the ICU. If this doesn’t force a change in US-Israel policy, nothing will.
