What a load of rubbish from @MPIainDS. Disappointing to see this from someone that I once considered a serious politician. What he and @jkyleofficial describe is complete fantasy, scaremongering nonsense. Unserious journalism agrivating a now unserious party @Conservatives.
🚨"It's a total shambles"
Sir Iain Duncan Smith slams Labour's Conversion Practices Bill for criminalising children who question transgenderism and warns Jeremy Kyle that Downing Street listens to Talk.

Such a pleasure to see so many Labour MPs and members supporting the Bangladesh Caterers Association’s annual awards tonight at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.
Curry has long been a much-loved part of British life. Behind the dishes enjoyed in households across the country are thousands of small businesses, many family-run, creating jobs, keeping our high streets vibrant and bringing communities together.
At SME4Labour, we’re proud to champion these businesses and the people whose hard work has made the curry industry such an important part of Britain’s food culture and economy.
Congratulations to tonight’s winners and nominees! 👏

NEW @Telegraph understands Nigel Farage did not display a valid date stamp on his prayer card and it was removed as per Chamber protocol.
I also understand Mr Farage did not attend prayers and did not approach Commons staff regarding a seat reservation.

I was in the Chamber from 11am.
Nigel didn't come in for Prayers at the start of the day, so he wouldn't have had a valid prayer card.
Nigel Farage was unable to attend the Budget in the Commons because his seat reservation was removed, The Telegraph understands.
The Reform UK leader’s prayer card — a green slip of paper that backbench MPs put on a spot on the green benches to reserve their seat — was moved after it was placed this morning.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Farage's prayer card lacked a valid date stamp and was removed per House of Commons protocol. MPs confirm seats were available unreserved and he did not attend prayers to secure one.

18 months ago I first raised the ‘golden brick’ VAT rule with the Treasury. Today’s Budget fixed it.
Land sold to social housing providers will be VAT-free, so tax relief starts at land sale, not foundations.
Faster cash flow. Faster builds. More social homes. #Budget2026

Will try not to lose any more commentary switching between apps..
Moving on to former journalist @Torcuil Crichton who as a former j likes whistleblowers and points out the picture Fintan is painting is different to what we read about. Call Safe to Say programme is a running joke and people raising issues get beaten down. Do you have confidence in your staff
Fintan says yes but he's disappointed in the report. But trying to paint this as a specific control room issue not reflected across the organisation more broadly and not seen in staff turnover etc. But says one person feeling they have to go outside to be heard is one person too many blah blah blah
Waffle reduces the time for questions in a time limited session
Torcuil points out it's critical safety stuff so how will you turn it around
Kayte replies with waffle of her own. Culture, pride in the work blah blah. We need to make sure people trust us and can be confident that they will be heard etc
Torcuil says we rely on you so how will you do it. She says we're taking it seriously and the organisation will hold us to account and she's delighted about that. They've kicked off their thinking. Do the plans resonate
Q do you speak to trade unions and when was the last time. Kayte says the day the report came out and they have a good relationship with the unions etc
Now on to @mike_reader
The organisation between the public and blackouts has a toxic culture the exec didn't know about and keeps missing operational deadlines... How can the public be sure the lights won't go out this winter...
Kayte "security of the system is the no1 priority (but they're completely focused on CP2030 and also totally focused on fixing the culture per previous answers 🤔)
They spend all day every day focusing on this
Q the Times had a leak where you said connections was the focus and is CP2030 or keeping the lights on more important!! Fintan doesn't recognise the Times ref (they literally had him on tape!) but says keeping the lights on is more important although his tone sounds the least confident of the session
Now Mike asks about comp and how much they earn. Fintan says his is in the accounts and base £309k Kayte says just under £300k. Asked about bonuses. Fintan waffles. Says metrics for bonus and results are published. Ooooh this is uncomfortable, Fintan doesn't want to answer
Is culture part of the metrics. Answer yes but using far more words! Q is the comp fair based on the issues 😂 Fintan says the board hasn't looked at it yet for this year
Q do you think your comp is fair and reasonable? Fintan waffles. Pressed on fairness. Fintan says yes.. My pay is fair!! Q missing deadlines and having a bad culture do you think it's right eg last year. Fintan says Ofgem says NESO met expectations and they're above industry norm for staff satisfaction. Obviously now we've found a problem
Q Kayte do you have all the tools you need to do your job. She says yes! Crazy. NESO needs access to live embedded meter data to model demand better
Now Mike challenges on missed connections deadlines. Waffle about complexity and says will be done if the customer is ready. Nice trick to blame the market again

You do nothing all year to support a town you nominally, partially represent.
You get exposed for not lifting a finger.
You've not thanked any of the brilliant people who worked on the bid, or celebrated our town.
And you've blamed other people despite that.
Weird behaviour.

Remembrance Sunday is a day when we put politics aside and remember the fallen and those who gave sacrifice to our country.
The pro-palestine poppy is decisive and being used to profiteer from remembrance.
I trust the Government to do their legal duty, to protect the environment, to adhere to our climate commitments and ensure energy security and sovereignty for the long-term. It trust the decision to approve Jackdaw meets these requirements.
Any decision must be paired with a package of support for workers and a renewed focus to ensure oil and gas giants don't offshore profits and load up joint ventures such as Adura with debt, alongside further work to...
