A Scheme-Related Capacity Building Workshop on Government e-Marketplace (GeM) was organised at the Municipality Town Hall in Rairangpur. Shri Naba Charan Majhi, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Mayurbhanj, inaugurated the program.
Marking the State-wide #VigilanceAwarenessWeek 2026 under the theme “Prosperity through Integrity”, officers and staff of the MSME Department gathered today at Kharvel Bhavan for a department wide pledge led by FA-cum-Additional Secretary Shri Rudra Narayan Acharya.

STPI-Bhubaneswar (@StpiBbsr) participated in the sectoral panel in the state-level workshop on “Leveraging Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) – Outreach Programme,” organised by the MSME Department, Government of Odisha, as part of the nationwide initiative of the Department of Commerce, Government of India.
Sh. S.R. Patra, Additional Director, STPI-Bhubaneswar highlighted STPI’s significant role and contribution in building the IT ecosystem and driving Odisha’s IT exports since the early 1990's. The discussion also focused on unlocking the State’s export potential in electronics and IT, leveraging opportunities under FTAs, strengthening access to global markets, and addressing key challenges to enhance Odisha’s competitiveness in international trade.
The programme underscored the importance of collaborative efforts among Government, industry and other stakeholders to expand export opportunities, strengthen global trade linkages, and position Odisha as an emerging hub for IT and electronics exports.

A state-level workshop on “Leveraging FTAs – Outreach Programme” was organised in Bhubaneswar to expand Odisha’s global trade footprint and strengthen the export competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The workshop focused on leveraging India’s Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), diversifying Odisha’s export basket beyond steel, expanding international market access and enhancing the competitiveness of local enterprises across key sectors, including engineering, agriculture, marine products, textiles, handicrafts and electronics.
