@apyhub: an API catalog AI agents can call just by chatting with Claude, no glue code. watching an agent pick its own APIs is the wild part.. what's the craziest one in here so far?

Heavy AI users now burn ~$35/dev per coding day, up ~75% in 3 months 💸 (LinearB data)
So should your agent write the code for currency rates or an email check, or just call an API? 🤔
I’m team API 🔌 (we’ve got plenty at @apyhub )
Where’s your line? 👇

how many tools does your MCP server expose? 🛠️
@SarvarN_04 rebuilt one from 15 tools down to 4:
tool descriptions 88% smaller
7 calls down to 2 for the same answer
same findings
fewer, bigger tools or many tiny ones? which way do you build?

If an API's test is failing, should your agent still be allowed to call it?
Hide the tool and the agent can't break anything. Keep it and the agent at least sees the error.
I lean hide. Not fully convinced.

your AI demo works. then real users show up 😅
here's what broke first for a lot of AI-first products, and the small APIs that fix each one 👇🧵

Most API clients open a new request as a form: URL bar, then tabs for Params, Headers, Body, Auth, Scripts, Tests. Some stay empty.
In Voiden you paste the curl from the docs into a .void file and get only the blocks it needs: Endpoint, Headers, JSON body etc.
Need auth? Add that as a new block.

A 360M model is pretending to be a terminal 📷
Write a file in vim, switch tmux windows, cat it… and usually remembers what you wrote.
No shell. No filesystem. Runs locally in your browser.
Built by @SimEdw. What’s the first command you’d run to break it?
Most of a DevTools HAR file is fonts, CSS and images.
@pabloedudh built a Voiden plugin that drops those and turns API calls into .void files to commit.
Then JWT Faker: sign test tokens, even alg:none.
Love seeing the community take Voiden new places 🚀
What would you build?

apyhub.com: one key for a whole catalog of APIs, and AI agents can call them over MCP with zero glue code 🙂
Nikolas Dimitroulakis retweeted
The file I edit, the file CI runs and the file my agent calls should be the same file.
Best argument against: agents can call anything CI can.
In Voiden a request is an agent tool only while its tests pass. Test breaks, tool's gone.
Enough, or should agents get less than CI?

POV: Monday morning 📷
Your AI agent has been calling a broken API since Friday.
In Voiden, each tool's tests re-run on a cadence: hourly to monthly.
Pass → served
Fail → withdrawn
Keys stay in your env files
Hide failing tools, or flag them?
