As they point out, not all 3 were on deterrent patrols at the same time, but conducting different types of operations.

Highly radioactive "Hot particles" have been discovered on beach near Dounreay nuclear plant.
According to estimates there could be hundreds of thousands of such particles in the surrounding area.
The decommissioning process for Dounreay is expected to take over 300 years.
