Today I submitted my formal resignation as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Strategic Readiness. When I took on this task for @POTUS, @SecWar, & @USW_PR_HONTata, I promised a year; another year away from my wife whom I miss dearly. The resignation takes effect in 2 weeks.
Great and wonderful things do happen! Congratulations G Chief!!
A week ago today, I married the sweetest woman in the world. @obxdogwalker saved my life eleven years ago, and every day since she's shown me kindness and love.
We've supported each other through a lot of loss and tragedy, and she always makes me smile and feel like the most important person in the world. I sometimes find it hard to believe I'm so blessed.
God is good.
Too bad for them, Trump will still be President until Jan 2029.
'Everybody [is] waiting for the Democrats to win': Another migrant caravan left southern Mexico in October and some migrants we interviewed said they hope for a Democrat victory in the midterms so the U.S. starts shifting away from Trump's immigration policies.

I think Pete Hegseth saved the U.S. military from falling into the ideological abyss. I also think he's done it with every single card in the deck stacked against him. A calcified bureaucracy and screeching "civil servants" who gnash their teeth any time "merit" is mentioned.
Replying to @infantrydort
I am curious what you think of what Hegseth is doing. It’s been awhile since I was active duty. Since leaving it’s obvious that they commenced with a social experiment and they also politicized the institution. The warriors were ousted and professionally destroyed. And Now??

The Department of War has zero tolerance for the intentional, unauthorized disclosure of classified information. Anyone who compromises sensitive national security information puts the lives of our Warriors at risk and undermines every military operation that keeps our country safe.
Following an extensive Air Force OSI investigation, the Department took necessary personnel action to protect sensitive information. To protect the integrity of the investigation, no further comment will be made regarding the individual or the circumstances of this action.
This matter, along with others, have been referred to the Justice Department for potential further legal action.
Classified information is not personal property. Leaking it for personal, political or professional gain is a betrayal of the trust placed in those responsible for keeping it.
Our commitment was not an empty promise. We vowed to find you, and we meant it.

Remember folks, especially GOFO, if you are in uniform it is important to remember that you are “in” DC and not “of” DC.
Even the very best senior uniformed leadership will, if they spend too long in DC, run into the danger of picking up the habits of the political appointees they work for.
Don't play the games of the politicians, civilians, and petty bureaucrats you see around you. They are not your friends, they don't see you are their peer, and the can get away with a lot more than you can.
You are not a character in a movie or a book. You are not that important. The people asking you to compromise yourself are not your friends, want to be your lover, or are going to help you in the future. You are just a tool within arm's reach they see as a way to help themselves, their cause, their career. Nothing more.
When accountability finds you, they will shrug, move on, and look for the next useful tool.
When you see a GOFO or senior field grade officer relieved, or retired early, if there isn't some HR-related misconduct, 90% of the time, that is what you are seeing.
Someone forgot they can't be "of" - and are fools to try. It is only the very rare character who can make it work.
Dear @POTUS, please consider awarding her a Presidential Medal of Freedom.
So What Do You Think About Hegseth?

FORTRESS is strategic deterrence in action, ensuring our defenses are hardened, proactive, and ready.
I created FORTRESS America because we can no longer rely on two oceans to protect us. That outdated assumption no longer reflects the threats we face.
President Trump and Secretary Hegseth understand this and have already paved the way with Golden Dome and a renewed focus on the Western Hemisphere, including Greenland and Panama. All of it reflects a fundamental shift in how we defend America.
War has evolved, the threats have evolved, and our defenses must evolve with them.

Hear me out. I'm increasingly thinking that @KamalaHarris is an AI bot created to troll us. No human being could be remotely this imbecilic.

Today is the 229th anniversary of the launch of USS Constitution, the ship America calls Old Ironsides.
On October 21, 1797, she slid into Boston Harbor as one of the first six ships of the United States Navy. In the War of 1812, British cannonballs bounced off her thick oak hull and sailors swore her sides were made of iron. The name stuck. She is still a commissioned U.S. Navy ship today, crewed by active-duty sailors, and the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world.

America is ours and they tried to steal it, and we are taking it back.
