This is really convoluted. Why run a universe this way?
Ok so according to James Gunn, Harley Quinn being canon to the DCU is entirely up to Margot Robbie and if she wants to play her again Praying she does because I NEED her back in my life, especially with that Poison Ivy show

hot dmz take: a big aspect of dmz is getting to choose your own playstyle. A player deciding to focus on PVP isn't a bad thing. You should be able to choose. There's a reason why for PVE, there's so many skills you can choose to help protect you from PVP players

The PvP vs PvE argument has already been tried and tested. I’m all for organic PvP. If it happens it happens. But a lot of “those” PvP players just grief and it drives people away. Then the obvious happens. The player count drops. The game dies. PvE players simple want an additional mode, not a replacement. #Tarkov used to be the ‘go to’ excuse for realism PvP but even they saw what was happening and adjusted. They added a PvE mode and guess what, it’s the most played mode now. #Marathon tried to force the “we’re a PvP game and that’s who we are!” And guess what, the player count dropped. #ARCRaiders also tried to force the “we’re a PvP game!” and guess what, the player count dropped. But…when they tested PvE for a week, the player count SPIKED. Now we’ve reach this cross road with #MW4 #DMZ We’re having the same argument. With the same logic. With the same stubbornness. And guess what’s going to happen… #pvp #pve #extractiongames

WW’s “big” resurgence being: -a canceled video game -a shit movie that came out during peak pandemic -an animated show Gunn himself promised years ago -a shit comic run by Gunn’s fav writer Tom King -constant erasure of her core mythology -no solo DCU movie in development 😍

Half of my DMZ Story Mission lobbies now involve being rushed and killed within minutes of the game starting. I understand DMZ is PvPvE but if the matchmaking has actually been changed, IW need to at least confirm it. Stealthily changing things like this (and Possum) with zero comms does nothing but create doubt and possible misinformation. Even just a comment on the patch notes from the dev team explaining a change would do wonders!
Story Mission Matchmaking in MW4 DMZ appears to have been PATCHED: 💥 Lobbies are now super PVP again, which is sad — I was enjoying engaging with the PVE Systems. I don’t mind PVP, but it’s a problem when it limits gameplay content.

I get where you’re coming from, but why does DMZ having an optional PvE mode mean changing or removing the PvPvE experience? Keep DMZ exactly as it is and give people another way to play it. More options could bring more players into DMZ, not take anything away from the people who already love it.

Coming from Arc Raiders, its really interesting seeing the how the Call of Duty community interacts with an extraction shooter. (not talking about dmz og's but warzone/multiplayer players) Its a pretty strong split. A lot of them think every thing you do in the game should be about getting as many kills as you possibly can, and winning every lobby. (i get it, im a warzone guy too) But a lot of them are learning that DMZ, much like Arc Raiders has a ton of stuff on the PvE side of things that are really fun to engage with, and grind. Story missions, DMZ orders, boss fights (although they could be better in DMZ), building insane loot routes, irradiated containers, bank puzzles, key rooms, bunkers, and so much more. I am not advocating for PvE only, or a PvE mode in DMZ like I did with Arc Raiders because fighting players is the life blood of Call of Duty and should always be. But PvP only players will scream at the top of their lungs, that there's no possible way someone can enjoy the PvE aspects of a game, and that PvP is the only way to have fun. When these games have built insanely deep, and layered PvE systems that players want to explore.

Back in June, Infinity Ward said DMZ Story Missions were "PvE-focused." Since Wednesday's update, a lot of players say those same Story Missions feel like Warzone with extra steps. The October 28 patch was mostly a Multiplayer update. First weapon tuning pass, challenge and killstreak fixes, a few DMZ exploit fixes, and a Possum nerf. (Yall got your wish...) What wasn't in the patch notes was matchmaking. Before the update, if you queued a Story Mission you mostly loaded in with other squads on that same mission. Now people are reportedly spawning in next to Free Roam and Dynamic Ops squads, and those squads are popping UAV towers and hunting. A little annoying, but wasn't bothering me that much really. ModernWarzone flagged it and pointed out it wasn't in the notes. That post is past 250K views. A day later he sums it up as going "from barely any PvP to way too much PvP for a lot of people." Is that true? Is that what yall are seeing? It doesn't feel that way to me. DETONATED said PvP itself isn't the issue, but "it's a problem when it limits gameplay content." I mean yeah, if it constantly screws up the gameplay loop sure, but I'm not convinced. But I don't play several hours a day either so yeah.. take that for what you will. I'm not one of the people who wants PvP ripped out of DMZ. I'm more on the "Git Good" crowd honestly. To many players out their crying about PvP like it's supposed to be Arc Raiders or something 🤣 The threat of another squad is the point! It's why your heart rate goes nuts at exfil, and it's why the Bounty and Wanted system exists. Charlie Intel's info from June said it plainly: PvP focus, no plans for PvE only. I said it earlier, If IW wants to go PvE only, then they need to make a separate mode, add Friendly Fire and make it work like Helldivers 2! But Story Missions were the on-ramp. They're how new players learn Hajin, level guns and build a stash without getting farmed by a trio in full kit during their first week. (Which isn't a problem in my eyes, It's like a tease of what's to come. What good are those missions with out PvP? Cause you'll go into DMZ and get cooked and wonder why when the story missions (as is) kinda got you ready) And there's the other side of it. For a week, people ran their best gear in solos because there was basically no threat. Some of you got comfortable. Somebody was always going to turn the heat back on. My problem is how they did it. If this was on purpose, say so. If it's a bug, fix it. Making players figure it out second hand by Twitter accounts is bullshit. This argument isn't just a COD thing either. Embark said 51% of surveyed Arc Raiders players were interested in a dedicated PvE option and tested a PvE toggle this month. Bungie is adding Marathon's first permanent PvE mode on December 8. The whole genre is splitting into two crowds. (I'm personally rooting for Marathon PvE stuff, but i'm not stupid and tons of players are like "Marathon who? LOL) My prediction: Infinity Ward walks this back at least partway before Season 1 drops on November 6, and Story Missions get some kind of protected queue again. (Because the casuals need that break I guess...) X01 is supposed to be the PvP-heavy map anyway, so give the sweats that and let the mission players breathe. (By the way, does X01 look like it borrows from Building 21 at all from the DMZ Beta? Cause it looks sick!) So what should Infinity Ward do here? Should Story Missions be safe, or is the risk of getting rolled the only thing that makes DMZ worth playing? I say smoke em all man HAHA! I don't have time for soft! (Cause I know you chumps wont give me any breaks LOL)

@CallofDuty I am usually the one that loves PVP in extraction shooters. But the way DMZ is setup with the amount of AI, bosses and missions, it would slap hard with a PVE only mode. And I’m on the side that Arc raiders shouldn’t have it. But infantry to kill makes it different

This mfs didn’t even look for the actual footage that I screenshotted. He formulated an opinion strictly off of my screenshots, saved them and wrote paragraphs and paragraphs. Bro don’t you have pedophile allegations to deal with?
So LANTERNS reportedly cost around $160 MILLION, and now we're finding out that a chunk of its visual effects budget went toward making California look like... rural Nebraska? What the hell are we doing here? A new VFX breakdown from CoSA reveals just how much digital work went into the HBO series, including replacing mountains, skies, landscapes, and even the lighting to make California resemble the Great Plains. Hell, they even gave John Stewart a CGI beard. And look, LANTERNS was a good show. I enjoyed it. But for eight episodes that were largely a grounded detective story with relatively limited Green Lantern spectacle, I'm starting to wonder where the hell all that money went. Remember how people kept defending the show's grounded approach as being cheaper than some massive cosmic adventure? Well, if that reported budget is accurate, that argument looks pretty ridiculous now. Meanwhile, I'm watching VISIONQUEST, which is also rumored to have a substantial budget, and I can actually see where the money is going. It's a pretty interesting contrast. And I'm not going to beat the AI drum any more than I already do, but come on. We're living in an era where technology is advancing rapidly enough to potentially make this kind of environmental work faster and cheaper. If we're spending millions digitally recreating forgettable Nebraska landscapes, maybe it's time to reconsider how these productions are being made. Hell, would it have been cheaper to just film the damn thing in Nebraska? I'm not saying the VFX artists did bad work. Quite the opposite. The fact that most people never noticed the digital alterations is a testament to their talent. But impressive work doesn't automatically mean the production was financially efficient. At some point, somebody at DC Studios needs to explain how an eight-episode, largely earthbound Green Lantern detective series potentially costs $160 million. Because if this is what the cheaper, more grounded approach looks like, I'd hate to see the bill for an actual Green Lantern space opera.

This is my biggest issue with this universe. Picking & choosing characters and moments are canon but others aren’t? Ultimately none of this makes sense as to why this is being discussed. It should just be Creature Commandos and Superman then whatever happens afterwards.
