"The Russians have provided Iran with intelligence, ammunition, and explosives...Trump’s response is to beg Putin for a few thousand barrels of diesel. This is the most stunning display of submission and weakness from an American president ever."

When Ukraine destroys Russian data centers, hoards of aggressive right-wing bots disappear, and Twitter becomes much friendlier. Isn’t that interesting? So much of our politics is driven by the internet, and so much of the internet is driven by Russians who want to hurt us. Shouldn’t we do something about that, given that we know it?

Imagine the MAGA reaction if James Talarico was caught with his mistress in another country on the 4th of July.

Dear @realDonaldTrump
Is this how you save American steel?
US-owned steel plant with a plant in Middletown OH begins mass layoffs amid Trump tariffs:
In a memo sent by Cleveland-Cliffs to workers, the company explicitly linked the move to Trump's steel tariffs on Canada, which it said had "significantly shrunk the market" for its products.

A bipartisan group of senators on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee has condemned Trump’s diesel deal with Vladimir Putin, arguing that it violates federal law and must be reversed:
“President Trump’s decision to allow Russian diesel imports to the U.S. runs directly counter to that law,” the senators said in a statement.

Trump is giving American taxpayers $$$ to Russia
To buy fuel he desperately needs because he launched an unwinnable war against Iran.
Russia is aiding Iran on killing American soldiers.
Iran is not surrendering.
Gas prices are not coming down.
Is this what you voted for?

This Kasparov thread highlights our stark reality, which pundits keep missing. Trump is not 'making mistakes' that will cost the GOP the midterms. He doesn't CARE about the midterms, or the GOP, or America. He is doing exactly what he was put in office to do - help Russia. 1/
Replying to @Kasparov63
The US doesn't need anything from Russia, never has. US national interests are in defending democratic allies in a war launched by Russia that is destabilizing US-led global security & economic systems it benefits from more than anyone. But Trump doesn't care about US interests.

Russia returns to the 1980s and pre-internet era. Now do the remainder of the refineries and consign Russia to the the winter of revenge for Russian aggression and war crimes.

Well, it’s a quick take, and no doubt data will come in, but it sure looks like based on today’s evidence that a lot of pro-Trump and pro-AfD bot work depends directly on Russian data centers.

There is, writes @davidfrum, an "implicit quid pro quo in these lucrative deals offered to Trump’s family and friends: If you compel Ukraine to surrender, we will enrich you beyond reckoning"

This is an absurd claim. Putin has ruled Russia as an autocrat for 26 years without allowing opposition parties to compete in elections. He has killed his main political opponents, Nemtsov and Navalny & stifled independent media and civil society. In Ukraine, you have the exact opposite— competitive elections, independent media, robust civil society, and Zelenskyy doesn’t kill or jail his opponents.
Russia is a freer and more democratic country under Putin than Ukraine is under Zelensky.
It’s just a reality we need to accept.
We’ve been scammed.

Objective metrics contradict the claim: Ukraine ranks substantially higher than Russia in freedom and democracy. Freedom House 2026: Ukraine 51/100 Partly Free, Russia 12/100 Not Free. freedomhouse.org/country/ukrain… freedomhouse.org/country/russia… Reporters Without Borders 2026: Ukraine 55th (66.10), Russia 172nd (23.15). rsf.org/en/country/ukr… rsf.org/en/country/rus…
