Fresh off the semis, Trent Hidlay shared what he asked God for before stepping on the mat. It wasn’t a win. It was the courage and strength to wrestle through whatever came his way.
Then it came. First period, he’s caught in a choke, a legal move, but it got dicey. He blacked out for a moment.
Trent responded and he finished.
That’s what answered prayer looks like. It doesn’t promise an easy match. It gives you strength to stand in the hard one.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
What are you asking God for before your next battle: the outcome, or the courage to face it?

Charles Barkley WENT OFF on the WNBA for not banning transgender women:
“Under NO circumstances do I think men should play against women. ZERO! I'm DISAPPOINTED!"
"Adam Silver should come out — and Cathy Engelbert... 'There's no transgender people going to play in the WNBA! If you don't like it, KICK ROCKS! ... The WNBA is for women ONLY — period!'"

Last month we did a podcast on ADHD in hockey. We got so many messages from parents after that episode. One email came from a great mom with a lot of knowledge on the subject and I turned it into a post. GREAT READ.

I truly believe there is a safe space and love for EVERYBODY. Biological girls, biological boys, trans women, and trans men. Everyone is welcome at my table! You can disagree and still be kind.
Bravo to those girls for standing up for what they believe. You’ll be hearing from me soon💕 yay for gifts.
Truly embarrassing of the co-owner. Unfortunately shows the type of leader she is.
The Seattle Storm have apologized for the conduct of a co-owner toward to young girls who were supporting Sophie Cunningham on Tuesday night. But footage and testimony shows a further storm of chaos the two girls endured that the team has not addressed.

So long, America🫡🇺🇸
49 days ago we landed in the USA to follow our country at the World Cup. We had no idea it would turn into the trip of a lifetime.
Thank you to everyone who followed along, and to all the people we met who made this journey even more special. We honestly don’t have the words to express how grateful we are for everything you did for us.
This trip exceeded every expectation we had. We came here with an open mind, wanting to experience as much of the country as possible. I still remember telling my friends on the flight to Atlanta that I hoped we’d get to meet a few locals on this trip. Now we’re flying home with friends all across the USA.
Before we came, we heard so many stereotypes and warnings about America. People told us about safety concerns, that they might check our social media at the border, and all kinds of other things. None of it matched our experience. This was probably the most welcoming country we’ve ever visited.
So if you have the chance to travel, do it. The world isn’t nearly as bad as the media often makes it seem. 99% of people are awesome!
I heard this quote somewhere during the World Cup, and I think it sums up our experience perfectly:
“If you want to hate the world, watch the news. If you want to love it, travel it.”
Thank you, America ❤️🇺🇸

Not so fast, Belgium.
The city of Los Angeles still has another 29 days to count all the goals from tonight's match.
Such an awesome player and even better person. So happy for his success at every level. @Garrettpenn14 @NCStateBaseball #packpros
