The writers wanted to submit the widely acclaimed "Mother Simpson" for the Emmy but the showrunners chose this episode instead thinking the 3D animation would give them the edge.

I showed up knowing absolutely 0 about flesh and blood to an armory and got taught patiently by three of the best players in the country
They did stomp my face in while doing it, but they were extremely kind with teaching me how to play mid game.
Super fucking disappointed in the LGS we went to. My girlfriends round 2 opponent sat in the WRONG TABLE and then had the nerve at end of the game to tell her “if you don’t know how to play, you shouldn’t register for these events.”. WHAT? Bro it’s a NEXUS NIGHT these are meant to be for casuals to learn the game. Yet they went to time and he didn’t tell her about overtime rules. So we talk to the manager and he says newbies shouldn’t join because it will make other players not want to join. This is absolutely ridiculous and should not be the kind of store @playriftbound is promoting. I’m about to go full Karen emailing Riot about this cause it’s insane.
To add onto this, the store report it on PlayRiftbound as a WIN for her opponent even though he sat at the wrong table, played out the full game, AND SHE WAS WINNING THE GAME 7-6! But because the other person at the wrong table that was supposed to be against her won, he reported that he beat her and they did nothing to fix the standings (which isn’t really the point cause it’s a nexus night but still).
