Let's Tag these two teams to boycott Kenya,,,let's Remind them, that their participation in Kenya, is tantamount to corrupt practices.
Talanta Stadium was budgeted at KSh 35 billion, but we ended up paying KSh 45.85 billion. That is an additional KSh 10.85 billion that was likely pocketed by Ruto and his friends. A similar 60,000-seater stadium in Ivory Coast the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé, which hosted the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations cost only KSh 33 billion. Last month, Harambee Stars players went on strike over unpaid allowances of approximately KSh 80,000 per player. Yet Mr Ruto is ready to pay Bayern Munich and Ajax between KSh 250–300 million each in appearance fees just to come and officially open Talanta Stadium. That figure does not even include air travel, accommodation, security, and other related expenses. Ruto wants to pay foreign teams to play at our stadium while inviting our own football stars and aspiring players to sit as spectators. There is zero value for Kenya in bringing wazungu teams to open our stadium. If they want to play here, they should sponsor themselves not at the expense of a country that cannot pay its teachers and doctors. If we must invite foreign teams, then in the spirit of Pan-Africanism, why not invite the Africa Cup of Nations champions Senegal, or our neighbours from the East African Community? We should ask their governments to honour us by sending and covering the cost of their national teams to come play at the opening of an expensive stadium that was never even a priority. Better still, why not organise a week-long football tournament for young footballers from every county, with prize money of KSh 5 million or more? Talanta Stadium is ours. We will not allow our taxes to pay for foreign teams. I have instructed my lawyer to file a Freedom of Information (FOI) request to obtain the full cost of this proposed exhibition match. I refuse the wastage of taxpayers’ money, and I shall move to court if Ruto does not stop this hallucination. We must invest in our own footballers. Talanta Stadium official opening match should be an opportunity for Kenyan players to shine not a stage to entertain Ruto’s fantasies of hosting Bayern Munich and Ajax Amsterdam. Football fans worldwide should also know this: since William Ruto took office in September 2022 through September 2026, police officers have killed 3,958 Kenyans. That averages nearly three Kenyans killed every day by the brutal police force working under Ruto’s regime. These two teams should decline any invitation to do public relations for a government that kills its own citizens simply for demanding better governance. Tumekataa.

45 MINUTES : WANTAM!! 15 MINUTES : SIFUNA !! 45 MINUTES: RUTO MUST GO!!
Those writing E-mails to Ayax Amsterdam and Bayern Munich not to honour their invite play their match at the Talanta Stadium kindly stop doing it, where else do you think Kenyans will have an opportunity to shout WANTAM and RUTO MUST GO? By the time the players leave Nairobi, they will go back to Europe thinking WANTAM or MUST MUST GO are our football chants.

A bogus nation: I recall the corruption at SGR, Eurobond n NYS. The Kikuyus vehemently defended Uhuru and roundly insulted David Ndii who was exposing them. Now, as long as a stadium is named after Raila, no accountability is needeed We are just a collection of TRIBES

TO THE GERMAN EMBASSY, THE NETHERLANDS EMBASSY, @FCBayern , @AFCAjax, @FIFAcom, @UEFA, @CAF_Online, @WilliamsRuto and @moyasa_ke: KENYA IS NOT A PUBLICITY STUNT. OUR LIVES ARE NOT A PR CAMPAIGN. AND OUR SILENCE IS NOT FOR SALE. @GermanyinKenya @Diplo_Jazz @NLinKenya @HenkJanBakker3 Let us address you directly. On January 5, Bayern Munich and Ajax are expected to headline the opening of Kenya's new national stadium. Politicians are celebrating. Football brands are getting publicity. But ordinary Kenyans have questions that deserve more than diplomatic silence and glossy photographs. WHAT EXACTLY IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS EVENT ORGANIZER? Have your governments, embassies or any associated institutions provided financial, diplomatic or logistical support for this match? Have you facilitated any arrangements? If so, what are the details? If not, say so clearly. What due diligence have you conducted on the source of funding, the organisers and the human-rights record of the institutions involved? Kenyans continue to demand accountability over abductions, alleged extrajudicial killings, police brutality and corruption. Families want answers. Citizens want justice. Yet we are being asked to celebrate an international football spectacle while these questions remain painfully urgent. WHAT IS YOUR POSITION ON THESE CONCERNS? Do you consider human rights and accountability relevant only when convenient, or do these principles apply even when your institutions and commercial partners engage with politically powerful governments? Are your embassies participating in corruption or human-rights abuses in Kenya. We are demanding transparency about your involvement, if any, and a clear public position on the concerns Kenyans are raising. To @FCBayern and @AFCAjax: What is the full financial arrangement behind your participation? Who is paying your fees and associated costs? Is any Kenyan public money involved, directly or indirectly? What independent human-rights checks have you undertaken? What tangible benefits will reach Kenyan clubs, players and grassroots football? To @FIFAcom, @UEFA and @CAF_Online: What accountability standards should apply when international football events are organised amid serious public concerns about human rights and the use of public resources? Will you support transparency and meaningful investment in Kenyan football beyond one high-profile match political campaign strategy match? @moyasa_ke: Publish the event's funding arrangements, the respective contributions of public and private sponsors, the contractual obligations and the measurable benefits to Kenyans. Explain why local football clubs cannot receive comparable visibility and sustainable support. 🇩🇪 @GermanyDiplo 🇳🇱 @DutchMFA: How much money linked to corruption in Kenya has been identified, frozen, recovered or investigated in Germany and the Netherlands, respectively, and how many credible requests for assistance involving suspected assets held by Kenyan public officials remain unresolved in your respective Countrie? Kenyan citizens deserve facts, figures and transparency your not diplomatic silence. We also need to know how this event serves Kenyans facing rising living costs, fuel-price pressures, strained healthcare and education, and unresolved concerns about missing citizens and state accountability. LET US BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR: WE ARE NOT AGAINST FOOTBALL. WE ARE AGAINST IMPUNITY, SECRECY AND THE POLITICAL EXPLOITATION OF SPORT. Kenyan football has its own clubs, players, coaches and supporters. They deserve investment, not selfies with international clubs to receive the spotlight. To the ambassadors: your silence will automatically be interpreted as complicity. Diplomacy cannot become an excuse to avoid legitimate questions. Come out publicly and clarify your governments' involvement, in our corruption and your position on human rights violation in Kenya. @BBCAfrica @BBCWorld @hnnsbnd #KenyaDeservesAnswers #KenyanFootball

At this rate I do NOT have any doubt at all. WE HAVE A MAD MAN AT THE HOUSE ON THE HILL.
Sometimes you have to wonder whether we are dreaming or whether our priorities as a country are completely upside down! In June, Harambee Stars were left stranded in a hotel lobby in South Africa over an accommodation payment dispute. In September, our players reportedly boycotted training over unpaid allowances, Coach Benni McCarthy revealed that his work permit remained unresolved more than a year after his appointment and yet we are about to host Afcon!! Now we are preparing to bring Bayern Munich and Ajax to Kenya to inaugurate our new stadium that cost twice what it was meant to cost at tje expense of Kenyans. Am trying to understand how we can explain organising an international sporting spectacles while our own athletes and footballers struggle to receive basic support? Our university lecturers have been on strike for the longest the damage this has caused runs so deep, schools struggle with delayed capitation, Counties are burdened by debt, Families are struggling to put meals on the table. And our own sportsmen and women still face financial and administrative hurdles. Juzi tu, Kiarie, our skating sensation, was struggling to afford his ticket! What exactly are our priorities as a country? Is development about the excitement of hosting global stars, or building a system where Kenyan talent can thrive long after the visitors have left? We cannot keep celebrating the potential of Kenyan sports while neglecting the people who carry our flag. But hey, lets import a team from Europe to entertain us as Kasongo attempts to hoodwink us!! As usual the ones for "Atleast lets give it to Kasongo for this one" have already started their noise! Ruto Must Go!

Inviting foreign teams to launch our stadium is very insulting to our national pride…What a harebrained idea! Why not even bring the secondary school tournament finals? Why not let Edwin Sifuna launch it with a Linda Mwananchi mega rally?
