Creating a garden where none was before ... and protesting about unfair retrospective taxation - would rather be gardening ....

#HMRC and @hmtreasury keep saying that the #LoanCharge is not retrospective. Yet in working paper 6: It clearly states that schemes will be closed down retrospectively.

You would of thought that multiple referrals & #suicides to the @policeconduct related to one policy - disguised remuneration / #LoanCharge would ring alarm bells. Instead they throw them back to #HMRC, who then mark their own homwork and say nothing to see here.

HMRC caused this by going after IHT as well as income tax Loans not loans equals income tax Loans are loans equals IHT Later McCann settlement no IHT Earlier settlements IHT “We win or we win, clever isn’t it”

The #loancharge debacle continues, Loan charge victims pursued for six-figure sums. After HMRC taxed the loans with the Loan Charge, claiming they weren't really loans, the parties that issued the loans are now trying to reclaim them. telegraph.co.uk/money/tax/in…

Ah yes. I had temporary forgot about that #HMRC DR project. Tiger Roar, Make it Real. It certainly did, multiple #LoanCharge suicides and Self-harm.

We have written again to Rachel Watson, Director General of @policeconduct about the #IOPC wilfully ignoring the #LoanCharge as a common factor in 41 #HMRC referrals for suicide & serious self harm. We will continue to pursue this IOPC failure of duty. loanchargeappg.co.uk/wp-cont…

This shows that #HMRC policy protecting the public and the public purse, has failed. While HMRC still goes after the victims rather than the promoters. #STOPtheLoanCharge #STOPtheSuicides #SaveLives

Spot on Richard. In both cases @HMRCgovuk were asleep at the wheel, and in your case they went as far as taking action against you when you exposed their incompetence. That's symptomatic of an organization that will do anything to protect its reputation . @loanchargeAPPG

3 years after #loancharge came into effect HMRC claimed in 22/23 275,000 individuals were working via Umbrellas that failed to pay correct taxes - irony being Government created that new mess with the OffPayroll Regulations forcing people to work via unregulated umbrellas🤷‍♂️

#LoanChargeScandal #Trethowans #West28thStreet Question. Are you re-paying the loans? If not, what are you doing about this situation? I am pretty sure I am not the only one this month facing loan repayments.

hmrc want 3 years bank statements and say I haven’t sent them figures for the income received from smartpay, despite me sending the figures years ago. They now say I received an income from smartpay in tax year ended 2017 which I did not and they’ve added 50 grand to my liability

Iran has cost the Republicans far more than anyone expected. It was a catastrophic mistake. And if Reform or the Tories were in charge, we would have gone to war right behind them. On day one, Restore Britain said no. It was not right for the British people, and we were absolutely right to draw that line in the sand. The consequences of ANOTHER pointless Middle Eastern war have reached far into the homes of ordinary British families. The price of petrol. The cost of heating. The weekly food shop. The mortgage. The small business struggling to pay its electricity bill. YOUR life has been made so much more expensive by THEIR war. Every pointless escalation has made life more expensive for people who are already being squeezed from every direction. For what? To what end? What has this war achieved? Absolutely nothing of worth. Restore Britain said no. Not because we support the Iranian regime. Obviously that is not the case. But because the first duty of a British government is to protect Britain and its people. And that very much includes protecting British families from the economic consequences of wars that are evidently and clearly not in our national interest. When oil prices rise, families pay more to fill their cars. Those moving goods face higher diesel costs. Farmers pay more to operate their machinery. Businesses face rising transport and production bills. Those costs do not stay at the petrol pump. That gets passed on. EVERYTHING gets more expensive. It is always the same people who end up paying. It’s not the politicians making grand speeches about international leadership. It’s not the commentators demanding military action from the comfort of television studios. It is British mums and dads trying to stretch the wage for a few extra days. It’s the pensioner frightened to put the heating on. The young couple wondering whether they can afford a home. The small business owner calculating whether another increase in costs will finally force them to close. They have been handed another bill for someone else’s war - a war backed by everyone on the right apart from Restore Britain. Farage said this is the ‘right one’, and 'the gloves need to come off’. That is VERY easy to say from a GB News studio. A Restore Britain government will put the interests of its own citizens before the approval of foreign leaders. Britain does not need another foreign war. We tried that. It failed, over and over. The abuse I received from Reform politicians for saying so was extreme. They were wrong. The Tories were wrong. Restore Britain was right. We need cheaper energy, affordable food, secure borders. We need to control inflation. We need to make our economy deliver for working men and women. THAT is our aim. Not getting dragged into another pointless foreign war. Our loyalty is to the British people. Our responsibility is to British families. Our aim is to make life affordable again for our people. And our answer to yet another unnecessary war was no, and remains no. No more pointless foreign wars.

Replying to @JohnGlenUK
You were an @hmtreasury puppet when @Conservatives were last in power. You maintained #ir35, destroying flexibility for employers and driving £ to consultants, and you supported the abominable #LoanCharge that continues to destroy lives today. We haven't forgotten.

You embarassed yourself in front of the house and MPs laughed in your face when sent out to defend the abominable #LoanCharge. That has driven at least 13 innocent taxpayers to take their own lives. You also did feck all to stop #ir35 and the #WarOnContractors. Sit down
