An underlying story to this tragic farce in Oleshky is how easily and completely Russia can cease hostilities. We all know that Putin could end the war as quickly as he started it, but such a visible example is powerful, and that’s one reason he’s against any ceasefires.
Newsmax journalist Shelby Wilder on the situation in Oleshky: Russia is using this humanitarian operation as a propaganda opportunity. Moscow wants to portray itself as the rescuer of civilians in a city that it occupies, one it has destroyed and plunged into this humanitarian crisis. And we need to be clear, Russia controls what we are going to be allowed to see. Moscow appears to have brought in numerous Russian media compared to just the one American news outlet.

“When Americans see what’s really happening on the ground in Ukraine, the Kremlin’s lies fall apart.” Shelby Wilder combats russian lies every day on conservative media. She knows that truth matters. And she’s not afraid to fight for it. That’s why I sat down with her Kyiv.

What an asshole! NATO was built for one purpose only—to defend free Europe against Russian invasion. And to downplay the sacrifices made by Europeans for American war elsewhere is hitting new moral lows, though for Trumpist officials the moral abyss is bottomless.
JD Vance's former national security adviser Andy Baker: The idea that Article 5 is a matter of belief, I find deeply aggravating. Article 5 is a treaty commitment to consult and to decide what counts as a breach of the peace and what allies do in response — CFR. 1/

Washington approves a $2.1B Patriot sale. No delivery date. Meanwhile russia knocks out power across four Kyiv districts. In Moscow they hear it loud and clear: the West is more terrified of Ukraine winning than losing. kyivindependent.com/the-path…

Thank you, @BarackObama, for mentioning this Trump betrayal of Ukraine.

This is what Russia is doing while some are getting high on ketamine and staging a disgraceful circus by cutting off communications for Ukrainian drone defenses, and others are practically drooling over promises of lining their pockets with the Kremlin's blood money.

What did they do other than wait for a train? Russia is a terrorist state.
A horrific Russian strike on the railway station in Dnipro. The Russians launched a drone attack on a platform where an ordinary commuter train and a scheduled passenger train were standing. Unfortunately, 13 people have been confirmed killed as of now. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Ten more people were injured. All necessary emergency services are working at the scene. Just how many terrorist strikes has Russia carried out against our people since sanctions were lifted on certain Russian oligarchs and the Russian energy sector, rather than de-escalating? This is precisely why Ukraine has always said that just and decisive action by America and Europe is needed in response to Russian escalation – sanctions against Moscow and its war machine must not be eased for as long as this Russian war continues. It is time for new, stronger sanctions steps by the EU, the United States, and the G7. I thank everyone who is ready to help in this way.

Russia is our enemy. Ukraine is our ally.
NEW: The order to limit a satellite system used by Ukraine for battlefield communications and drone operations came from inside the White House, according to two US officials and a Western official briefed on the matter.

Washington takes a concrete and reckless step toward World War III. This decision undermines American interests and may go down as one of the gravest mistakes in American foreign policy, emboldening the aggressor to wage more war!

A while back, Goebbels expressed all kinds of opinions, and so did other Nazi propagandists They were punished. Rightfully so. Ragozin is not Goebbels, but apropagandist of the russia’s criminal war he sure is, insidious, the worst kind.
Nobody should be punished for expressing their opinion. I'm speaking from experience — I've been investigating the Russian security services for 26 years, and I've paid quite a high price for that. It's wrong to expel @leonidragozin for his views from Latvia.

A million-witkoff question right here 👇
How come Russia isn’t being held accountable for violating the “energy ceasefire” President Trump said he wanted Russia and Ukraine to abide by? Russia fired 39 ballistic missiles into Ukraine last night, most of which targeted Ukriane’s energy facilities. Putin is the Hitler of our time.

Yes… by giving major land concessions to Russia that they’ve been unable to conquer on the battlefield. It’s called appeasement.
Zelensky is giving interviews about the President's character. Remember that the President is the one trying to end the war.

Disappointing. @LSU basketball has had other great Ukrainian basketball stars including @RomanRubchenko
LSU center Kate Koval, who is from Ukraine, decided to to leave LSU after the Tigers recruited a Russian player at her position. Koval’s father serves in the military, defending Ukraine from Russia's invasion. “For me, this war is not distant or abstract,” said Koval. “People close to me have been killed and wounded in Russian attacks, and places where I grew up and first began playing basketball have been destroyed by missile strikes.” nytimes.com/athletic/7560096…
